I've had my iPad since December and noticed this "line" across the top of the screen. Before, I could clean it off, but now there are permanent scratches on the screen. I tried putting a cloth over the metal area, but there is a magnet that secures the closure and the cloth prevents it from locking. Too bad, the keyboard works great otherwise.

This is totally unacceptable and I will be complaining to Logitech too. This should NOT be sold in an Apple Store. Bummer, too, because Logitech usually has such good products.

Logitech support was unhelpful in reaching any resolution, drawing it out for weeks with emails back and forth, requesting multiple additional pictures, etc. I finally just went back to the Apple store and returned the product, even though it doesn't change the fact that there is now a long scratch down the screen. I am not a heavy user. I would recommend that you NOT purchase this product. It will ruin your iPad screen.

It never missed a beat until I updated to IOS 11, and now it won’t charge when the keyboard is connected to the smart connector. I have found that if I simply unplug and re-plug the lightening cable it starts charging again. I’ve been able to work with it, but it’s a pain. Overall, I love the keyboard, but this has got to get fixed!

I can’t review 11.1 software, but I can review this keyboard....

It’s a sturdy case with a great keyboard that is great to use on a dark plane. You can’t beat having a lighted keyboard with this device. Also, I love that it protects the iPad on the front AND back, unlike the Apple product. It truly makes my iPad feel like a “Pro” device and not a toy. With all of that said, there was a long time there where it wouldn’t type an apostrophe. That was insanely annoying and lead to many typos that made me stop using it for work communication. Then there was the time where it kept asking me to update the keyboard every few minutes. Insanely annoying and uneeded. Do it in the background. That all got resolved somewhere along the way with software and now the latest 11.1 or 11.2 update prevents the iPad from charging when it’s connected to the keyboard. Apple and Logitech need to figure it out. Logitech made a great accessory. Apple created the propietary smart connector that no other device supports and brought in Logitech to help them kick start the ecosystem. It’s up to Apple to fix this, since they keep screwing their own key partners when they update software.
