Does not work with Lexar 256GB SDXC cards

This reader won’t read either of my Lexar 256GB SDXC cards. Those same cards work fine in five other card readers. The reader sticks out far too much from the machine, a problem in cramped quarters. The card is difficult to remove due to the lip on the reader; it makes one pinch to get the card out, which is hard when working in cold conditions (stiff fingers).

      DON'T BUY - bad design

The connection to the USB-C port is not totally secure. Anyway, not going to waste more time writing about this. TOTALLY RUBBISH DESIGN!!! Wasted my time ordering and waiting for this while I could have just bought a USB-C SD card reader from Ebay for just £6!!

It works with all my SanDisk SD cards as it should. However the 45 degree angle they put on this at the slot entrance ruins it. You place your SD card into the reader and it goes 3/4 of the way in leaving just about a 1/4 inch sticking out, you are unable to remove the card once it is in since it is so difficult and the angle of the card reader doesn't allow you to get a finger under the card to remove it. I will be looking for an updated version or another brand to purchase once more readers are available for the USB-C interface.

      absolutely terrible

Got this card reader only 3 months ago when I had to switch to the newest computer. Wasted $50 because it has completely broken, as well as corrupted my files. Even when it was working it is hard to insert and remove the card. It sticks out awkwardly from the side of the computer. DO NOT GET THIS

      Simply did not work

I purchased this card reader excited to have a native USB reader so I wouldn't have to use up my other dongles with my older card readers. Unfortunately once I I purchased this card reader excited to have a native USB reader so I wouldn't have to use up my other dongles with my older card readers. Unfortunately once I plugged it in, it simply didn't work. Plugged it into every port of my Mac and it still didn't work (the LED indicator light would blink for a split second then go away. I put various SD cards in the reader, and plugged the reader into several other Macs and it was clear that the problem was with the reader itself. I went back to exchange it for another one in hopes that I would receive a working one ( I figured it was just my luck that I bought a defective product) but then it turns out that even the SECOND one that I received in exchange also does not work. I was unable to find any fixes or resources from Sandisk online regarding this problem and It's clear from my experience (and many others') that this is a very poor product I would advise everyone against purchasing this product until Sandisk addresses this problem and creates a new (and thoroughly tested) version of this product.
