      Good, not great

I had been watching the progress of this for a year when it was finally released in November 2016. I jump on it. But I wish I'd known these facts: 1) Warrant I had been watching the progress of this for a year when it was finally released in November 2016. I jump on it. But I wish I'd known these facts: 1) Warranty is about 6 MONTHS 2) Battery lasts about 10 minutes 3) It's crazy loud, even outdoors 4) Maximum flying height is about 65 feet 5) Product support is abysmal. Takes weeks to get a reply, and then the reply gives no information that you can't easily find by Googling The good thing (for you, not for me) is that it's $100 cheaper on Apple's site and it takes pretty good photos.

      Not worth $500 bucks

I was so excited when I got this Hover Camera Passport Drone. Its great but not worth $500 bucks. It lacks many features! You can't adjust camera settings, n I was so excited when I got this Hover Camera Passport Drone. Its great but not worth $500 bucks. It lacks many features! You can't adjust camera settings, no on/off flash settings? it has flash but its not working even when i tried it at night. The flight time is only 10min or less! Can't access the memory through your computer unless the power is on, so when ur out of battery, you can't upload. The photo gesture is not working. You would think that if you plug it in your computer, it will charge itself but no. You can't buy extra battery? Do they think 2 10min is enough when your on a trip? It would be nice if it will display percentage of the battery. The noise is super loud! I like the build quality and compactness but for not worth $500. Sorry but I'll be returning this :(

My only complaint is that if I knew it was going to be sold through Apple I would have waited, because it cost me $100 more from Hover Camera.

Had no anticipation of this being a smooth flying drone and was completely ok with the thought of buying a $500 selfie stick, believe it or not. What I'm not ok with is spending $500 for something buggy that unexpectedly runs full speed into a wall, or flys as fast as possible towards my wife, landing by another nearby wall. My experience with Hover got even worse when calling their support line and being notified by their team member that it's ok for the drone to work properly only 50% of the time and had I told them it wouldn't work 90% of the time then there might be something they can do. I purchased based on my confidence in Apple products and the products they endorse. I'm giving 1 star for the portability of the drone but will refuse to take this thing around strangers in fear that it will fly directly at them or me unexpectedly. Every flight has been in optimal lighting conditions with no wind and up to date firmware. Would not recommend.

Erratic flight - good camera - no stabilization

I really like this drone in principle. It's exactly what I'm looking for to take on holiday. Convenient size, lightweight and plenty of flying time to take phot I really like this drone in principle. It's exactly what I'm looking for to take on holiday. Convenient size, lightweight and plenty of flying time to take photos. However, it's incredibly unreliable at behaving. I tried it a couple of times and the first time in started oscillating towards and away from me then smacked into a wall. The second time I lost control and it smacked up into the ceiling and I lost control and couldn't land it. I'm worried that if I take it on holiday I'm going to lose control and it'll just fly off. The manufacturer has a lot of work to do on the firmware. If the drone loses connection it should stay where it is for a time then automatically land. It's a pity that it doesn't seem to have GPS so it can't come back to where it took off. Incidentally, this drone is way more noisy that I ever thought it might be. Definitely not recommended for indoor use. If I'd done more research before I bought it, then I wouldn't have bought it. Overall, love the idea and disappointed with the delivery.

      Bad Batteries

In the manual, it says never leave the batteries in the charger or even the drone. For example charging it and then just unplugging the charger. What this doe In the manual, it says never leave the batteries in the charger or even the drone. For example charging it and then just unplugging the charger. What this does is breaks the batteries and they will never work or charge again. I saw that in the manual after I noticed the batteries would not even power the drone on even after a first charge. I never did get to fly it. Now I have to pay another $100 bucks for two replacement batteries or just toss it in the trash. I am past the warranty period due to not testing it out when I got it. Learn from my mistake.
