works perfectly once I changed camera communication setting

I was ready to send the adapter back, because I really need it for the EOS, my main camera- I am going to England this summer and am only taking my iPad Mini, not my laptop, so have to have some way to back up photos (losing photos due to a lost/damaged card, camera, etc would be beyond tragic) Then I read the review that suggested going to the camera's menu and changing the Communication setting from Normal to PTP. Tada!! Success - the pictures loaded right up, I am very happy, and the adapter does not have to go back to Apple.

      works perfectly

I was worried about the previous reviews, but I am totally satisfied with this product. it works with my Canon EOS DSLR and also with my old Olympus Camedia. I think people may be having problems with their camera's not being fully charged up when they try to transfer.

      Compatible with Canon 7D

Works perfect with the Canon 7D. I just connect it to my iPad mini, turn on the camera, and it automatically uploads the files. I believe if you are shooting Works perfect with the Canon 7D. I just connect it to my iPad mini, turn on the camera, and it automatically uploads the files. I believe if you are shooting in RAW, it uses the jpeg generated by the camera. Fantastic!

      Worst apple product I’ve had

Won’t even load jpg or raw files from my camera SDHC card even though apple says it’s compatible. What a worthless piece of junk.

Works great for Chord Mojo and Dragonfly DACs

I was initially hesitant to buy this for DAC use due to the reviews that the “accessory not supported” message is thrown by current iOS releases. I can state u I was initially hesitant to buy this for DAC use due to the reviews that the “accessory not supported” message is thrown by current iOS releases. I can state unequivocally that this lightning to Camera USB adapter works flawlessly on iOS 12.1.4 Don’t be misled by the complaints, they are either victims of a knock off adapter that wasn’t purchased from Apple or they have dirty pins/contacts on their lighting port/plug. I got taken by some amazon seller that falsely claimed the adapter was genuine (it was priced like it was genuine as well). It worked fine on older versions of iOS but the “unsupported accessory” message started appearing after an iOS update. Such a scenario is hardly Apple’s fault, it was my own fault for putting myself in a position to get scammed. Buy this adapter with confidence.

      Doesn’t work

Bought to use as it shows... usb to iPad. But doesn’t work.. giving message... device needs to much power to work..or words to that effect. Waste of time and Bought to use as it shows... usb to iPad. But doesn’t work.. giving message... device needs to much power to work..or words to that effect. Waste of time and money that was. It might work for some... but directions should give more detail as to what might or might not work .
