Worst design of an Apple product that I've encountered

Let me begin by saying that the original Magic Mouse was and is my all-time favorite mouse, hands down. I love it, and would easily give it 5 stars. But the Let me begin by saying that the original Magic Mouse was and is my all-time favorite mouse, hands down. I love it, and would easily give it 5 stars. But then they "upgraded" it to the Magic Mouse 2. For all the ingenious designs that Apple has come up with, how did they ever manage to think up the idea of putting the recharging port on the bottom of the mouse, which makes it completely useless while recharging! All the designers would have needed to do is look at a corded mouse: put the recharging port on the front... and voila! A rechargeable cordless mouse that can temporarily function as a corded mouse while its being recharged! Seriously Apple, how did no one see this problem? I am very disappointed in you guys on this one. I'm sure Steve is too.

The feel of the mouse, the functionality, the build quality are all class-leading... but who in the world thought that sticking the charging port on the base of the mouse was a good idea?! And not allowing the mouse to be used whilst being charged? Seriously?! WHY? What a stupid thing to do Apple. What does someone do when they're working and their mouse runs out? Am I expected to buy two of these things??? Aargh. Here's a solution, Apple... what if the mouse could become a wired mouse whilst charging? Stick the port in the front-end of the mouse and have it work whilst charging so I don't have to use my laptops trackpad for intricate design work.

      Who are these people?

Is someone paying irrational, cantankerous antagonists to write one-star reviews? Anything they don't love is automatically "the worst thing ever!" All of these Is someone paying irrational, cantankerous antagonists to write one-star reviews? Anything they don't love is automatically "the worst thing ever!" All of these extremely low reviews are incredible... as in "not even remotely credible." This mouse looks and feels like the last one - only a little lighter. Ergonomics, weight, appearance, functionality... all great things, and all much better than your average third-party product. The mouse plugs in to charge... and this is somehow horrible? Upside-down is a bit weird and you don't use it while it is charging. How does that make this a one-star product? Don't you ever sleep? Can't you remember to plug your mouse in overnight once a month? This is way better than having to change the batteries every two weeks. Do you gripe about your phone because you have to put it down once in a while to charge it? So it doesn't work with some of the older system software? Well in most cases, neither should you. How does that make this product abysmal? Your wrist hurts? That is not the mouse's fault. Operator error does not make a product atrocious any more than a drunk driver makes a a particular brand of car a hazard to drive. This mouse is a great product. An improvement over the already-good last version. Would I prefer a third party mouse over this one? No thanks. I'll give my five stars right here without apology.

Slowly I have grown to hate this thing and am debating going to the store on my own and buying my own mouse for work. This mouse scrolls randomly in the software program I use at work, I have to go back and forth to update files. It is REALLY annoying. It also zooms in and out at random, a few times without me even touching it. It also causes the office software to wiggle onscreen and randomly jumps between screens. I've dropped the sensitivity to the lowest, got rid of my mouse pad, and disabled all the special features on this thing. Even with all of that, the mouse STILL scrolls randomly, causes programs to wiggle and jump, zooms randomly in Safari and Chrome, and jumps windows like crazy. The other day it was trying to delete my emails. It is a nuisance. I don't know why Apple decided to make something so useless for the office for a computer that might be bought by an office but they did. At the end of the day I want to rip out my hair, this mouse is so aggravating. I do not recommend it.

      Very disapointed !

I rarely write negative comments. But considering the price of this mouse, it should be perfect, and it is really not up to the expectation. If the esthetic I rarely write negative comments. But considering the price of this mouse, it should be perfect, and it is really not up to the expectation. If the esthetic looks ok, but the use is awful. When your mouse is charging you simply can't use it anymore ! Who thought of putting the charger under it ? It should better be thicker but usable while charging ! This is bad design ! Then, why do you sell a Macbook with USC port only and a mouth with USB port charger (both not compatible)?

It works most of the time but that means about 80%. And when it's about to go dead because the battery is drained you find out too late. It looks cool but it's not as good as a $15 mouse by the generic makers of such.
