It depends. If you have the new Apple TV, you have to get the Siri Remote (Not this remote).
But if It depends. If you have the new Apple TV, you have to get the Siri Remote (Not this remote).
But if you have an older Apple TV, (the 2nd or 3rd generation) this will work.

See, If you are using a MacBook 2016 model, then an Apple Remote is not for you because your Mac doe See, If you are using a MacBook 2016 model, then an Apple Remote is not for you because your Mac does not support the IR remote. But if you want to use a remote for your Mac go for a bluetooth compatible remote to use.
