      These cables are terrible

These break just as easy as the cheap flea market ones. I’m always praising Apples products to all my friends. These cables are an embarrassment.

Please fix your trashy chargers . I am now ordering my fourth charger since December. RIDICULOUS. With all the money apple is making, your customers shouldn't be replacing their chargers every few months . I never had this problem with my Samsung phone.

      These are not cheap!

I keep reading reviews about the cables being cheap and not establishing a good connection on certain devices. I know from experience that is not always the cab I keep reading reviews about the cables being cheap and not establishing a good connection on certain devices. I know from experience that is not always the cable that has flaws. I own an SE that I've had for several years, one day it stopped charging out of nowhere, my wife then decided to get me a 6 to help me upgrade, when I got my new phone I wasn't getting cellular signal on it so I took it to apple to find out the problem, turns out they couldn't do anything because she had bought it refurbished at Walmart BUT they did take a look at my SE (the one that had a charging issue to begin with). Guy that helped me out said my SE was fine except it had a massive ball of pocket lint, hair and dust inside the charging port that had been getting lodged in there for years until the point where the cable couldn't do a successful contact with the port, he took a thin metal tool from his pocket and removed all the stuff inside the port, voila, phone was back to normal. I still use the same cable that came with the phone and I know for a fact this phone is at least 4 years old and so is the cable. Guys check your phone's charging port for any pocket lint or excessive accumulation of dust, that might actually be the reason the phone is not being charged and not the cable itself.

      They don't last

Unfortunately, the Apple cables work best with Apple products, but gee whiz, a company like Apple should be able to make a better cable.
