      The verdict is still out

My first impression is that I love the Apple Pencil 2, easy to pair, goes into low power mode when not in use. It is the best stylus I have ever used for creating artwork digitally (I actually like it more than my Wacom tablet!). I do have some questions I need to get answered before I can give it the 5 stars I want to give it. Can this device be be charged any other way besides sticking it to the iPad? OR has anyone made an iPad case/cover that will actually protect the edges, the most vulnerable part of the iPad while allowing for the Pencil to charge? The Apple Smart Folio seems to expose the edges of the iPad which is great for charging the pencil, but one accidental drop and I fear that the lovely screen will crack. I would really prefer a TPR back cover case that protects the edges but would have a section that would allow for the pencil to charge. I certainly do not want a case that has to be removed to charge the pencil. The only other change I would have liked is to have the pencil flat on 6 sides like a typical pencil.

      Ultimate

This is the BEST stylus I have ever used. I came to the event in October 2018 and got my hands on it. Thanks

For example a swipe to switch between apps or control volume or the navigation bar. Also I wish there was a prompt on every app that support the pencil; I find myself not knowing what it can and can’t do.

Inconsistencies and various issues, yet an item I can’t do without.

1st let me just say that I love my Apple Pencil 2 and can’t live without it. There are some major issues with it though. I am on my 4th Apple Pencil since dec 2 1st let me just say that I love my Apple Pencil 2 and can’t live without it. There are some major issues with it though. I am on my 4th Apple Pencil since dec 2018 because it is nearly impossible to keep up with since No ONE has developed an adequate case that both protects the Pencil and the iPad while letting the pencil charge and pair. Pairing itis inconsistent from pencil to pencil. 2 of the apple 2 pencils stayed charged and paired, while the one have now and the 2nd one I had must be paired and charged each and every time. This means I have to go through the hassle of taking my iPad out of th case leaving Ieaving it vulnerable. Also the 1st Apple Pencil worked more consistent in making the different types of of marks. Lastly, I’m very upset that insurance is available for those who buy an iPad Pro and pencil 2 together now, but that it wasn’t when I bought them together. Best Buy informed me that neither them nor apple will allow me to get apple care at this point( I was willing to let them inspect to assure them that both the iPad and pencil were still in flawless condition.

      Worked great till...

I purchase the 2nd gen pencil for my iPad Pro, I really liked it until it detached from my iPad and now I can’t find it. The magnet is not strong enough
