      The verdict is still out

My first impression is that I love the Apple Pencil 2, easy to pair I will preface this by saying my opinion may change once I can get some questions answered! My first impression is that I love the Apple Pencil 2, easy to pair, goes into low power mode when not in use. It is the best stylus I have ever used for creating artwork digitally (I actually like it more than my Wacom tablet!). I do have some questions I need to get answered before I can give it the 5 stars I want to give it. Can this device be be charged any other way besides sticking it to the iPad? OR has anyone made an iPad case/cover that will actually protect the edges, the most vulnerable part of the iPad while allowing for the Pencil to charge? The Apple Smart Folio seems to expose the edges of the iPad which is great for charging the pencil, but one accidental drop and I fear that the lovely screen will crack. I would really prefer a TPR back cover case that protects the edges but would have a section that would allow for the pencil to charge. I certainly do not want a case that has to be removed to charge the pencil. The only other change I would have liked is to have the pencil flat on 6 sides like a typical pencil.

This is the BEST stylus I have ever used. I came to the event in October 2018 and got my hands on it. Thanks

I am really loving the 2nd gen Apple Pencil

I found the original Apple Pencil unwieldy to use, to keep charged, and to keep track of. This second generation product works so much better for me that I find myself using it daily, and not just with drawing apps. It’s easy to charge and my Otterbox case keeps it right next to my iPad Pro where it’s easy to grab, fully charged. It’s a much better tool for sketching, drawing and painting.

      Awful and NOT Durable

We purchased an apple pencil on Sept 6, 2019. The first one sent was lost by UPS apparently. A new one was sent on Sept 23 and finally arrived on Sept. 27. W We purchased an apple pencil on Sept 6, 2019. The first one sent was lost by UPS apparently. A new one was sent on Sept 23 and finally arrived on Sept. 27. We had it for less than two weeks and one bump and it broke. We took it to the Apple store and were told to buy a new one - no warranty or compensation by Apple. Not worth the money and does not hold up to regular use.

      Scratched my iPad Pro

Apple refused to exchange the damaged pencil stating it was “cosmetic”. If you buy the pencil I would recommend buying a silicone cover for it to prevent it from scratching the side of your iPad where it attaches (magnetically). I’m extremely disappointed as they refused to replace the pencil, ive ordered the silicone case so it doesn’t continue to wreck my new iPad Pro. I have many Apple products and the first issue I have they weren’t willing to help, extremely disappointed.
