This charges my apple watch so slowly! $80 for a slow charger is not worth my hard earned money!

      NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

This is a ripoff; a bad ripoff. From slow charging, to complete failure, my 80 dollars that I fed Apple could have gone towards something much better.

You will need a lightning cable with it for it to work. I am guessing that it *can* charge very quickly if you plug the lightning cable into a 65 watt charger (this is a common trick with iPhone rapid charging) instead of the usual 5 watt one.

I now have a Watch 4, 44mm, and it continues to work great. It is easy to place the watch on the dock and the dock remains in place where I placed it. I have been using the same iPhone AC adapter with it. Some reviews say it charges slow. All I know is I put the Watch on the dock when I go to bed and it's fully charged when I get up, so it's fast enough for me. It's a charging dock, it does what it is designed to do and does it well. I highly recommend it.

Love the look - function could be better.

That being said, as a charger, it's not really that great and there are definitely better options out there that hold the watch in place. The unfortunate downside of the Qi standard is right now, coils within the device need to be aligned in order for the charge to happen. On this, I've noticed that despite the magnets helping the contact occur, it's not perfect and while the watch will be suspended, it won't charge. Also, if the circular piece that protrudes isn't set at 90 degrees, it will also not charge. There have been numerous mornings that I've left for the day only to be reminded of 10% on my watch. I'm a teacher and I use my watch throughout the day to set reminders and time lessons so that is a giant drawback. However, if it is placed well, it charges beautifully, no complaints there. If you're very prodigious with your things and ensure contact to charge, go for it. For the rest of us with busy lives for which we can't inspect a charger each time we place an item, avoid as this beautiful piece of tech will annoy you.
