In September 2017, I purchased a 2017 iPad Pro 12.9 and a Logitech Create keyboard/case from an Apple Store. Unfortunately, the salespeople were not aware of the fact the the current Create case covers the flash and the mic on the new iPad Pro 12.9. I just found out about this and contacted Logitech. They suggested getting the Logitech SlimCombo which doesn’t cover the flash and mic, however, it’s a two-piece unit that wouldn’t protect my iPad (which I carry around all the time) like the robust Create does. The two-piece SlimCombo also fell apart when I gave it a test drive in the store.

  • The Logitech Create keyboard case, unless it's undergone a very recent redesign, does cover the flash of the 2017 iPad Pro, as well as two of its speakers. It is otherwise fully compatible, in my experience. Refurbished units are selling for about $60, so if you prefer a physical keyboard and can either put up with the shortcomings of the Create, (or are feeling handy and want to try to mod one,) you could do worse.
