Is this drive compatible with macbook pro 2012 (USB 2.0)?

I have a MacBook Pro 13" (mid 2012) with USB2.0 and thunderbolt. Is this drive compatible using USB-C to USB-A?

  • I purchased this drive hoping, because it has a built in TB1/2 cable and a female USB-3.1 gen2(USB C) port separate from the TB1/2 cable, that after connecting it to my older TB1 MBP I would be able to daisy chain a USB-C SSD onto it; therefore gaining two external drives thru one TB1 port. Unfortunately this was not the case. It works to my USB 3.0 and therefore should work to a USB 2.0 port also.
