  • According to the Apple it is compatible with new macbook 12 inch and 13.3 inch which has usb c port. But in my opinion it doesnt work with mid 2009. Because you need to usb c cable to thunderbolt cable to charge your macbook.

  • The battery will not work with a 2009 17 inch MacBook Pro. The only MacBooks this battery pack will work with are USB-C MacBooks 2015 and newer (12" MacBook 2015 and newer, 13" USB-C Pro 2016 and newer, 13" USB-C MacBook Air 2018, and 15" USB-C MacBook Pro 2016 and newer). And since this battery pack has a 30w output, the 12" MacBook (with a 29w draw) is the only MacBook that can get the most out of this battery.
