  • In product description it says it is compatible with:

    "MacBook Pro with Retina display*
    MacBook Air
    iMac (late 2012) and later
Mac mini (late 2009) and later
    Mac Pro (late 2013)"

so I am betting "No". I was considering buying one for my iMac but after reading the reviews here I'm thinking better to transfer information via a PC (with CD/DVD) and thumb drive and save the $. Unfortunate that Apple doesn't seem to want to support CD/DVDs.
