The Smart Keyboard designed for the 10.5" iPad Pro will work with the 9.7" iPad Pro. I brought my 9.7" iPad Pro into the Apple Store the other day and tried it with the 10.5" Smart Keyboard. It worked fine and I ended up purchasing the keyboard. Typing is easier and more error-free. The case fits the 9.7" iPad just fine. This is a very worthwhile upgrade.
