Yes I have one for first flor and another for the second floor. I would recommend the ecobee3 over many other products including Nest. Unlike Nest the ecobee3 can pair with multiple sensors (pairing takes 5 seconds, place the sensor in front of the thermostat and pull a tab to connect the sensor battery). This can be critical in larger homes because Nest can only use the single proximity sensor in the Nest thermostat whereas ecobee3 can use multiple sensors including the built in sensor in the thermostat. Now, why should you care? Because using multiple sensors allows the ecobee3 to determine if there is occupancy in other rooms and adjust the system if nobody is home. In additon you can have the ecobeee3 average the temperatures from all sensors or prioritize the maintaining a specific temperature in one room over another (e.g. nursery or bedroom). In addtion, my thermostat for the first floor was located in an area below the air return which is perfect for detecting air temperature but it is an area which does not et much foot traffic rendering Nest somewhat useless in determining if people are home.
