Will bootcamp let me install a bootable windows 10 on this?
Currently bootcamp only lets me partition the internal disk and I've heard it lets you create bootable thunderbolt drives. If I plug this in will bootcamp recognize it and let me install a bootable windows 10 partition?

I haven't done much in this area.
Things i have done before and still using today is a second macOS operating system on an external hard drive. it works ok, but it has noticeable time increase during booting up and opening up application.
I have tried to install a Windows OS on external hard drive, it didn't work for me.
However, if you install a Mac OS on the external drive then configure the Bootcamp partition from there, it will let you. and when you hold down Option button on start up, you will see multiple booting up point from there including OS installed on both the internal drive and external drive. (If you do that, don't delete the macOS installed on the external drive, because if you do then that will delete the Windows partition recognition too)
