Can an Apple USB Super Drive work with 2.75" cds? Or only true standard size 4.5" cds?

The optical drive in my iMac will not eject a CD after I rip three or four of them. I was hoping this USB Super Drive could be a substitute.

I am looking at mounting my super drive in a vertical position on my desk so it is up out of the way. I know some CD/DVD rom drives can not be mounted in a vertical position or used in a vertical position. Can the Super Drives be mounted in any orientation or are there restrictions to ensure proper performance.

Recently since I upgraded to os Mavericks, my iTunes has been having trouble reading music cds from late 90's/early 2000's. I was wondering, will this Superdrive read all of them with no issues?

I have a MacBook Air. I want to copy my home movies from one DVD to another. My whole family wants copies so I want to be able to copy them fast without loading the dvd onto my MacBook. What do I need to do this? Will the super drive work? Thanks
