Can this adapter be used with a Lightning to USB Cable to charge an iPad or iPhone using the 29W USB-C Power Adapter?
When charging the 12" MacBook, the 29W USB-C Power Adapter puts out a higher voltage than suitable for iPhone or iPad.
Will that be reduced to 5 V when one of these devices is connected via this adapter? -

Can I use the USB-C to USB adapter to transfer data from my old MacBook Air to my new Macbook.
Migration Assistant failed over Wi-Fi, and I still have a large photo library to move across to the new MacBook. The Apple Store suggested using Airdrop which is very limited/fragile when transferring a large number of photos - I think maybe I got the junior genius!

What USB accessories are not supported?
When going through the options to buy a new macbook, there is the option to add a USB-c to USB adapter. Under the description of the adapter it is stated that "*Some USB accessories are not supported." but I cannot find anywhere that states what USB accessories cannot be used with the adapter.
Which leads to the question of; what USB accessories are not supported by this adapter?- Asked by Aren M from Somerset

Can this be paired with the 29w Power adapter to charge an iPad Pro 12" using supplied USB to Lightning cable?
I've seen that you can get faster charging of an iPad Pro 12" using the 29W USB-C Power adapter.
Rather than purchasing a USB-C to Lightning cabel (2m) at £35, can the existing cable supplied with the iPad Pro 12" (USB to Lighting) be used in conjunction with this adapter to charge the iPad (since this adapter is cheaper than the 2m direct cable)?- Asked by Phil D from Shanklin
