Answeryes, you need to contact AppleCare and one of the representatives will assist you. I have done this myself. although you cannot do this directly from the apple store. :( AppleCare will send you a direct link to purchase your replacement color online.

Is there any type of warranty on this product? If so how long is it?
I have an older version of this cable that came with my Beats Solo HDs (version 1 not 2) and the cable within a month or 2 started breaking and after finally getting around to possibly ordering a replacement with this new version, I am seeing a lot of reviews on this cable and it not lasting long.

Can I get the Beats Remote Talk Cable in a different color? I would really like to have it match my Imperial violet Beats.
I got My Beats Solo 2 Royal Edition Imperial Violet headphones for Christmas and, recently my puppy chewed the cord. I would really like to get a new cord the matched the one the headphones came with originally. My dad payed over 200 dollars for these, and they are the best headphones I have ever had.
