- Flag as inappropriate Answer (would this 18w usb-c power adapter charge an iphone xs just as fast as the 30w or 61w or 87w charger?????)
Yes but it will only charge at 12w instead of 18w.
Yes, the USB-C adapter and USB-C to lightning cable will work with your iPhone 6s. While it will be faster than the 5W adapter that came with your phone, you may not receive all the benefits of Power Delivery (PD) that newer iPhones do.
Yes, but you will need the USB-C to lightning cable. The charge rate will not be any faster than the 5 W charger.
I just got this charger and after checking multiple times i can confirm it does support PD fast charging for my iPhone XS Max
The "height", is almost the same as a 5W (square) iPhone charger, but the other dimensions are larger. Approximately the following:
Height (vertical measurement when plugged into U.S. outlet):
1 1/8 inch
Width (horizontal measurement when plugged into U.S. outlet):
1 11/16 inch
Depth (without prongs):
1 5/8 inch
Willing to buy overseas but bt confused about the voltage varition between india and u.s
Yes, but you may need an adapter for the outlet/prongs. Most all current Apple power supplies (including this charger) work with an input voltage range of 100 - 240v.
Yes; however you will need a usb-C to Lightning cable and the charge rate will not be any faster than the 12w Charger model.
Yes. The default start up voltage will be 5v to allow for backwards compatibility. If USB Power Delivery is negotiated between the charger and device, 9V may be switched to in order to provide faster charging rates.
Does this 18W charger work as a fast charger for the iPhone X with the (50% in 30 mins), or I have to get the 30W for fast charger compatibility ?
Yes .. this charger supports PD fast charging for iPhone X.. i am using this with my iPhone XS Max.
It's not recommended, and if you're going to buy a charger for your 13-inch MacBook Pro (2018), I would recommend the 61W USB‑C Power Adapter, and the USB-C Charge Cable (2 m). This type of USB-C Power Adapter is designed to work with a specific list of iOS devices, which can be found under "Compatibility".
This Power Adapter works with the following devices:
iPhone XS Max
iPhone 8 Plus
11-inch iPad Pro
12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation)
iPad Pro 10.5-inch
iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd Generation)
iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st Generation)
5W charger that comes in the box will charge to 50% in 80 minutes. This charger will do it in 30 minutes.
5W charger that comes in the box will charge to 100% in 190 minutes (or 3h 10m). This charger will do it in 120 minutes.
So this charger is ~100% faster.
(This basic info should have been in the "tech specs" section but wasn't.)
Yes. Most all current Apple power supplies (including this charger) support an input voltage range of 100-240v AC.
QC 3.0 is a charging protocol designed by Qualcomm, it offers stepless multi-voltage charging from 3.7V to 20V; a device can receive the perfect voltage and current optimized to its exact charging state.
