The screen protector that doesn't protect the whole screen. (iPhone 6s)

I made the mistake of not reading reviews before buying this, but I figured since Apple sells it it must meet some kind of quality standard. It comes with a really neat frame that snaps on to the phone so that you can't really mess up the installation, and went on about as easily as anyone could ask, but there's one big problem with it. It's not wide enough to cover the entire screen. You can see a line running down each side where the screen protector ends, and the effect is accentuated if you look at it on an angle, possibly because the edges are not rounded - which is another concern altogether. Depending on what you're looking at, this can be quite irritating. I'm hoping this gets scratched quickly so that I can justify buying a better one.

Missing screen wipe and bubbles bubbles everywhere!!

Purchased two of these, the first was missing the screen wipe and sticky tape to clean the screen. On both, I couldn't pull up the second tab without lifting the whole protector film and in both cases, I ended up with far too many immovable bubbles...a very poor over engineered system, look elsewhere

Very Sharp Edge and it actually BROKEN!!

Never buy it!!! Very poor quality and doesn't worth the price. After I used it for 2 weeks the edge has a small piece around 2mm fallen apart which i never dropped my phone and I don't know why it has a piece fallen apart.

    You guys crack me up

It's a screen protector. And yes it's $35. But, what do you want it to do? If you drop your phone on concrete it's going to probably break. I think if it was made of pure steel and could stop a bullet you'd still complain. And it smudges? Of course it does. It's a screen glass protector, where would you like the smudges to go from your oily fingers? The thing is very protective -- but it's not the company's fault if your phone shatters. It's supposed to help minimize and hopefully keep it from breaking. You guys need to go outside and take a breath, life's too short to find fault in everything you come in contact with.

The Apple store puts it on in a few seconds and it works great. Get one. Be happy.

    DON'T BUY!! Horrible product

Product is horrible. Has really sharp edges and barely fits on the screen. I returned after using for a week.

    Doesn't fit to edges

I hate this screen protector. It doesn't reach the edges and so because it's thick it has a ridge that scratches when your finger runs over it. Also not going to the edge means the sides get air bubbles and will eventually cause a weak part of the adhesive so I don't see this lasting long...

    Best I have used

I have tried several plastic screens over the years but the look and feel was poor. This product costs twice as much as cheap solutions, but only twice as much, and looks and feels like the native screen. With Apple installing it for me so there is no misalignment, fuzz, or air bubbles to contend with -- I am 100 percent satisfied.

    Junk

Apple Store installed and they still got a piece of lint under the glass. Edges on glass not beveled, too sharp - 90° .

Had phone in my shirt pocket and glass got scratched from a shirt button (also purchased Apple brand leather case, w/ which I am very happy). Then the left bottom corner got snagged on something and peeled up. I am a pilot and the same corner keeps coming up when cabin pressure changes.

Unbelievable that Apple would promote this junk. Material too thin and made of inferior quality.

Not worth the monies or the time to drive in to town to have Apple install. I have had much better luck with average
run-of-the-mill plastic DIY type from Walmart.

    Junk!

    Unhappy customer.

    First Choice

I've used the Belkin TrueClear on two iPhones, and I won't use anything else. They don't lift off in the heat or after use, like cheaper ones do, and they do their job. I've dropped my phone a lot - including off a treadmill - and it has protected my screen. I buy one and it lasts the life of my phone, which is SO much better than buying a cheap set once a month in the hopes that this one might stay on.

Apple staff are less inclined to install them for you these days, as abuse from customers who change their mind or aren't happy is on the rise. But ask nicely and understand that unless they majorly mess it up (break the protector, giant airbubbles, bend it etc), there is no refund or replacement. They are doing you an unpaid favour installing it (and honestly, every staff member who has helped me and my family install these is an actual wizard.)

Loses a star because the iPhone 6 version isn't flush with the edges of the phone - even with a case on, there is a .5cm gap between the edge of the case and the edge of the protector, which makes me feel mine was cut before the specs of the iPhone 6 was released (considering I got it 6 months after release, that's annoying).

    Not worth the amount paid

Pros: They put it on for you in the store with a device that places it in the exact place and they get all the air bubbles out for you, seems strong
Cons: Screen gets scratched easily, doesn't cover the veritical sides of the screen leaving the sides exposed, really sharp edges that hurt your hands!
Not worth £19.95 at all! Seems like a good knockoff of a decent version

Fits well but weak on scratches

This screen protector has a unique installation frame that makes it very easy to install. I never had an issue with air bubbles or loose corners. I usually keep my phone in my pants' pocket by itself. Yesterday I had it in my pocket with my wife's phone (in a plastic case). The plastic case severely scratched the screen protector. I would understand if keys or something metal scratched the protector, but a plastic case? I'll be looking for a different product to replace my scratched screen protector.

    Doesn't work

Bought this per the recommendation from an Apple employee. Dropped my phone ONCE with this on and my entire screen shattered. Not worth it!!

    Don't bother

The only good thing about this is that it's fitted perfectly in store. If there's bubbles they will fix it for you.
It scratches so easily that it makes your nice new phone look worn within a day or two. It's not worth £20 for something so disposable.

would buy again and have Apple install at their store using Belkin fixture

I've used a lot of different films with all my iOS devices, and was initially hesitant at spending extra than even Power Support films, but the quality in terms of transparence as well as feel of finger of this Belkin film is better than any other ones I've ever used. Plus, having an Apple sales person install it was great too to ensure zero bubbles.
It is overpriced, but worth it for a new iPhone.

Seems to be ok for now.

I just bought this screen protector today. I'll say installing it was not as easy as the video said it would be. The top layer of the screen protector did not peel off so easy and I had to get stronger tape to finally get it off. Other than that the install was easy with the alignment frame and it feels nice. I like the glass feel screen protectors over plastic ones.

    For scratches. Not for drops!!!

The screen protectors are made so your screen won't get scratched or scuffed while like in your backpack or purse or while slid on top of a table. Not to protect it from the screen getting broken when dropped. Common sense people.

    Great product!

This is a great screen protector. I have been using Zagg protectors for years but this one you cant tell there is anything there. I would recommend having it installed at the apple store as they have a device that installs it perfectly. Also if you drop your phone on its screen the screen might still break! Laws of physics still apply!

    Warning! No protection guarantee!

Phone was dropped a month after putting on film. Screen smashed to smithereens. Belkin do not guarantee protection. Screen protector was fine though! Waste of money as its the screen I wanted to protect and a £5 protector would have done the same bad job. Apple please stop endorsing this and sell a cover that has a guarantee.

    Screen shattered, protector didn't

After dropping my phone (in a case) on to concrete while getting out of the car, the screen shattered, but at least it still has a nice mint condition screen "protector" on it. The only thing I can say is that I'm not cutting my fingers or face on the broken iphone glass because the screen protector is not broken. Maybe they should call this a skin protector.
