Miserable sound and charger clip breaks

Everybody complained I sounded like I was in a tunnel and couldn't hear me during calls. Apple Store tech confirmed it was the case. Cover of charger plug broke off early on and I had to buy another (cheaper) case which is SO MUCH better. Do not waste money on this case. It is terrible.

Don't risk it with your phone

Bought a Lifeproof case for iPhone 6. Water leaked inside the first time I used it and destroyed my phone. The case was installed correctly and passed a water test before use. Customer service didn't take responsibility for the phone. Don't take the risk with your phone until/unless this company can guarantee their product works and stand by it should it malfunction.

    DO NOT BUY THIS CASE

I bought this case for a vacation so that didn't have to worry about getting my phone wet in the ocean/pool and so I could take photos. 3 days into my vacation i brought this phone on the beach did not submerge in water only got wet to get the sand off of the screen my phone now has water damage and won't turn on. This is the biggest waste of money I also now cannot get all my photos that were taken on the trip. DO NOT BUY IT IS NOT WATERPROOF, it's a scam. If i could rate as negative stars I would.

CONSUMER INFO NOT PROVIDED IN ITEM DESCRIPTION!

Actually did the waterproof test and that worked. Went to plug in to my charger and not so good. Bought two cases, one for my daughter and myself. Put both on last night and sent her on her way. Called the company and got the dry speech about the cover not being made for all chargers, and as if I was stupid, told me if they made the port too big there may be leakage problems. Really? Isn't that what the port cover is for? You know, the one that kept the water out during my 30 minute submersion under water? What an idiotic thing to say! Then he tells me they make it that way on purpose to be compatible with the charger that comes with the iPhone. There's the real answer. I told him the reason for my call was so that in the product specifications they might add that info...NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ALL CHARGERS!! All he said was ( half heartedly ) "ok." I'm sure they won't. So buyer beware!

Didn't protect my phone from water

Went to the water park with with kids. Was playing in the kids section with the iPhone and the life proof case. Got it wet for about 30 seconds. Then had it put in a dry spot. When I tried to use my phone, I discovered water had got into the screen. Do not buy this product. It is not waterproof.

    Can't hear a thing

    Should have checked the reviews.

    This product is terrible.

The other caller can't hear anything. Basically can't use the phone without headphones.

The speaker is now hopeless. I also get a high pitch noise through the speaker at times.

This is one of the WORST products I have ever purchased. I won't even re sell because I have a conscious

    WARNING - DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am on my third case replacement. The Charging latch breaks every three months and LifeProof just send you a replacement with the same defect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apple should not promote this case. All the advertise protection does not work with a broken latch!!!!!!!!!
I wasted $100 and hours of frustration. Not a product or company that one would expect Apple to be associated with.
During high humidity days the camera cover on the case distorts the photos or video.
The company has a design defect problem with this case and it is not fixing the problem, recalling it, warning the users or stopping the sales. Your IPhone 6+ is not protected from water damages with this case.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Extremely upset will never buy a LifeProof product again..

Great Case for Protection could improve sound quality

Bought this case for my IPHONE 6s, after reading older reviews it seems that the product has improved since earlier models... I decided to spend the $90 because I am terrible with my phone and keep breaking them from repeatedly dropping them!! Overall I feel that this is a pretty good case. It is slim and not too bulky. Not sure what kind of chargers the other reviewers use but the charging port allows me to use all of my cables without having to remove the case, and I have two non-apple chargers. My touch ID works like a charm - no issues there.
***In fact my ONLY PROBLEM is the sound- I have complaints from people on the other line tell me I sound muffled and when I take the case off they say my sound improves--- I hear them perfectly fine though.

    Disappointed

Am on my second case and won't be calling customer service again for a 3rd. As other reviewers have noted this case is generally good at protecting your iPhone from a drop to the ground but the lighting port cover is just cheap plastic and the clips that hold it in break off within a few months of use. Since you have to open this cover every day or so to charge your phone it's just poor design to have cheap flimsy plastic clips. They should have used a screw-in design like they did for the headphone port! Lifeproof customer service did ship me a free replacement case ($5 shipping charge) after the charge port cover broke from just 3 months of use, but now 4 months later that one has had the same failure. I wouldn't buy this product again and don't recommend it for this reason.

    Good Case bad sound

This case is really good it is very water resistant and i have no problem and it protects my phone but i have noticed the the sound gets muffled by the case making it hard to hear. In a way it traps the sound waves within the case itself. Other than that it is a really nice case and the sound isn't bad enough to be completely not understandable. I would say sound quality would be about 6.5/10

Average Product from a Great Company

I have had a LifeProof case for my Iphone 4 and 5 and I never once had a problem with the cases.
However, my problems started when I bought the Nuud case for the Iphone 6.
The case in itself if good however there are some flaws with it.

    1) The Cover for the charging port keeps breaking. This is due to the two little plastic bits that hold the port shut. After normal (not even heavy) use of opening and closing the charging port, the little plastic pieces snap. This is a flaw in itself as the plastic can not handle what it was intended for. This is where all my cases broke (3 Cases Later).

    2) The plastic near the phone mic is too thick, meaning that majority of the time during phone calls, your voice would be muffled and hard to hear on the other line. Sound is degraded.

    3) The Front facing camera will always get dust in the recess of the screen meaning that should you choose to use the front facing camera, it will always be dirty and have to always clean it before use.

    4) Due to the thicker plastic at the bottom of the screen, it is hard to swipe up for the Access panel for your blue tooth, flashlight, wifi, sound etc. Again another design flaw.

    5) The seal between the screen and the cover is not robust enough and keeps breaking i.e. rolling back into the case (on all my 3 cases). It was still good enough to keep some sort of seal. However, during a heavy shower and the phone in my pocket, water still managed to get inside the case.

Overall the Nuud case is an average case. After all of the hassel, I "upgraded" to the Lifeproof Fre Case.
This case is so much better and solves all the issues with the Nuud case. It is also cheaper than the Nuud Case

I am on my 5th lifeproof case! Why, because the cover for the charger part keeps breaking and life proof won't give me a free case I had to pay a $5 shipping and handling and said they had fixed the issue! But, it never happened because it has happened yet again! I should have just saved the money from the beginning!

    Love the case

I have had lifeproof for two of my other iPhones. This one is thinner and feels smaller, and I like how the back is transparent. After reading the other reviews, I have to say I can hear and be heard just fine. Music is a little muffled, but if I open the bottom port and put it in a bowl it seems better. I'm very clumsy and have already dropped it several times, once from the second story, with absolutely no damage. You have to semi pry the charge port open, but I think it makes it seem more secure against water damage. Better than that little rubber thing on otterboxes that I've never failed to rip off! Water and dirt proofing work great. Anyone who complains about these is either not using it correctly or is having other issues-I've never had a screen crack or water damage in the four years I've been using lifeproof-and I've dropped things in lakes, had them fly off of golf carts onto gravel, and even had one of my students bury it in dirt and water it to "grow and apple tree". Highly durable and well worth the money.

Sleek and attractive but not a tank

I got my nuud yesterday for the iPhone 6s. I read review after review that blasted this case for the poor sound quality.
I spent about 2 hours talking to friends and family yesterday and no one complained about my voice being muffled or hard to hear. I would say that the speakers have reduced sounds quality but nowhere near as bad as the other reviews portray. I'd give sound quality a 6.5/10.
If you have the money and you are looking for a trimmed down but above average phone case, this will hit the mark. If you are looking for a tank that will protect your phone from anything...you might want to look elsewhere.
I also have an otter box defender, and as much as I love the thing it's super bulky and can be awkward due to its size.

    Waste of money.

Had the case for less than 3 months and the charger door has broke and is unable to close, making it no longer water proof (not to mention annoying). Also phone calls are near impossible as the sound is muffled for both ends of a phone call.

    Enjoyed it... at first.

I had broken my iPhone 6 Plus's fragile screen and had purchased this case in response.

At first I was pleased with its' protection but my annoyance with this case eventually caused me to replace the it with a different brand.

    Problems:

    1. While talking/listening on the phone - your voice is muffled to the caller and the caller's sound is degraded. The mic and speaker are obstructed by a thin plastic layer.
    2. Speakphone is useless (for the same reason as mentioned above).
    3. The front facing camera is obstructed by a thin plastic layer which blurs your images
    4. The rear facing camera is obstructed by a thin plastic layer but it doesn't blur as much as the front.
    5. The TouchID sensor is only about 25% accurate while using this case.
    6. You must use a headphone adapter which is about 2 inches long and screws into the case each time you use your headphones. This adapter cannot stay on the iPhone and is a pain to keep handy.

... in short, everything about this case is garbage.

The only way this case is worthwhile is if you use bluetooth devices to talk/listen to your phone, you don't take pictures and you need high-protection from water/drops/falls.

    Horrible case.

Don't buy any of these cases. I have had a problem from day one with people not being able to hear me. They sent me a new one and it still didn't work. Everyone who called me could hardly hear me. I stopped using it completely and just put it on this morning while I was surfing in case my wife went into labor. The second the case it got wet the phone was broken. I can't see anything on my screen. Now I have to go through insurance and won't have a phone for days. These cases don't work and they make life more difficult.
