    Broken around corners.

This is a terrible product. It broke around 2 corners and I never dropped it.

    Broken within the first year

Corners are cracked even with careful use.

Bought in May 2016 and already faulty by March 2017.

    Not worth the $60AUD paid.

    Not recommending anyone to buy.

    Average case

The case looks great and did the job, but after a few weeks it began to crack and a few months later it is barely hanging on my MacBook pro. The corners cracked almost immediately and continued to crack with the Macbook being placed and carried within a sleeve. Not worth the $70 price tag at all :(

    Incase hardshell case 13.3" retina

Overpriced, like with most stuff that you buy from Apple, quality wise, it's not bad.
I struggled a lot to put the top part on, and in my oppinion it's still not fitted correctly.
Would I recommend it? No. There are loads of other options online, do your research :)

    Defective, no warranty

This case looked great and fit well initially, however the corners cracked off in about 2 months as other reviews have stated. The InCase site has a link for submitting warranty claims, however no responses received after repeated attempts to contact them.

Overall not sure why the Apple Store is even carrying this product. DO NOT PURCHASE.

Don't buy this - complete waste of money.

I bought this to protect my brand new MacBook Pro. The first one was a nightmare to get on as it was so tight and then it quickly began to crack and split at the corners. I thought this was a one-off and got a replacement at the Apple Store. The fit of this one was better but it's still cracked and split, and bits have fallen off the corners. It's a complete waste of money. I approached Incase first but they couldn't care less & told me to return my item to Apple (who were much more helpful) so I'm not impressed with either Incase or their products.

    Disappointing

I bought this thinking it would fit the new 13" MacBook Pro with touch bar et al.
    Does it?
    No it does not!
Not only is it too big it's also cheap and tacky plastic - not worth the £70 including delivery it cost.
    Cannot recommend.
Am returning item and looking for an alternative.

Incase 15" hardshell case for MacBook Pro - Don't buy!

I had purchased a hardshell cover for my MacBook Pro 15" about 2.5 years ago for about $35 and found that after only about 12 months it started to split around the corners and virtually fall apart. So I decided to purchase an 'Apple accessory' hardshell case, the Incase model, which I thought would be superior quality being on the Apple store...but it was worse! ...and cost more...$60!! This case is now more cracked and falling apart than the 'cheapie' after only 5 months. Whatever you do, don't purchase Incase products...poor quality! By the way, I rated this product one star...and that's because I couldn't rate it 'zero' stars.

    Great case

Those who say the case doesn't fit properly - I thought I had the same issue, but that's just because I wasn't putting it on properly, and you do have to use a bit of force when putting it on. Haven't had any problems with it since, and looks attractive and feels sturdy. I like how brightly the Apple logo shines through despite having purchased the black case.

    Would Not Recommend

I am always very careful with my electronics and this case has multiple cracks in all four corners after one year. I even keep this computer inside a soft case inside my backpack and the case still is cracking in all corners. I am highly disappointed considering that this product was purchased at the Apple Store. I definitely would not purchase from "incase" again.

Incase Hardshell for 13" Retina MBP Cracks in Corners

My wife and I both purchased 13" Mac book pros from the Apple Store and the incase hardshell seemed a good purchase. We bought ours on recommendation of the Apple Store, since they sold them there. As other reviews point out, cracks appeared in multiple corner areas of my wife's Mac. We attributed it to an inadvertent mishandle of some kind, because my incase seemed fine. I've had mine for just over six months and I always carry it in a padded Codi backpack. I saw cracks in three corners today that were not there yesterday. I know for a fact I did not mishandle it. The product needs some more design work. I'm very disappointed because it does take care of the computer she'll as far as oils and scratches.

    Do not buy this case

I bought this case from the Apple website thinking i would get a quality and protective case. It doesn't fit correctly and lets dirt in. I have taken it off twice, and the corners have cracked and the case is falling apart. A total waste of money. I would not recommend this case to anyone.

    Please save your money!

I bought the Incase hard shell for my brand new 13 Inch macbook pro with Retina Display. Unfortunately, I decided to return it because the quality of this product is not worth the price i paid. The design was pretty simple for a case that is over $40. The black hardshell case has the incase design on the bottom right corner of the display part and the bottom is perforated to supposedly allow ventilation for the macbook pro. While the bottom of this case could be removed without any effort, the display portion was very hard to remove for cleaning. As i removed it, the bottom right corner broke and was continuing to break as I tried to open the laptop for class. Eventually, the top corners of the bottom shell started breaking at the same level just from constantly opening and closing my laptop. The break in the case could potentially scratch my macbook pro because of the sharp edges. It is supposed to protect, not damage a product.
Overall, it is not worth the money.

    Just bought this today

So when I read the reviews for this item before buying I had mixed feelings about it. Only because there were more negative than positive comments about the case. However, on a hunch I went into my local Apple store and tried the case on my device. The moment I did I was impressed with the weight of the case and how it did not add any weight to my Macbook. I have owned cases for my Macbook but they were third party cases from Amazon which they fit but they didn't really wow me. This case does ....you can tell that this case was meant for this device. Now I can carry my computer with me just like an iPad and not have to worry about dropping my device. Now I will agree that this case most likely will not protect my computer from a drop but it will keep the outside free of scratches and oil marks from my hands. Very happy.

    Fantastic case

I needed a case as I was going to use it for school (in and out of bag). So I wanted to avoid scratches on the aluminium unibody. I felt this case was much better than others like from Speck. It has not disappointed. The black colour makes my macbook look even better than it did before. Also, when the macbook is off you can barely see the apple logo, but when it is on you can see it and I'll be honest; it looks awesome.

    Not worth the purchase

I am not tough on my computers. However accidents can happen so just in case, I wanted to provide extra protection for my computer. When I bought an apple laptop in Dec 2014, I purchased my first incase hardshell. In addition to the hardshell, I also store my computer in a neoprene soft zippered case. 6 months after I purchased my first case, I noticed a corner was cracked. Not sure how the damaged happened but I decided to give this product another try (as they only carried the Incase protectors at the local Apple store) and bought a second case. 6 months later and my new case is again broken at a corner. Wow... seems the 6 month mark is as much life as you will get out of these cases. My advice - don't waste your money - these are obviously a substandard product.

    2 cases, same result

I have now had 2 copies of this case and both of the cases cracked in the corners immediately. With the first case I did not bother with the cracks but over the course of 4 months eventually the cracks became up to 4 inches in length. Also, one of the cracks wrapped around the corner of the case and cracked of the top left corner of the case. I have had the 2nd case for 3 days and I can see the beginnings of the same cracks forming. Beyond disappointing quality, do not ever get this case!

    Too expensive for its quality

It's only been 3 months since I got this case with my new laptop, and I am already seeing cracks in the back corners and today I found the top left corner of the screen with a piece chipped off! I did not spend $50 on a case to see it getting scratched and damaged after just three months. I am very careful and gentle with all my valuables! It also doesn't protect the edge of the black hinge on the outside, if that is important in your purchase decision.
