    Belkin really slipped with this one. IT DOES NOT WORK, PERIOD. Reset of SMC, NVRAM, etc. does not help, replacing batteries did nothing. It pairs just fine, but Mac doesn't have any idea what it is. Totally clueless. DON'T waste your time or money on this. The only option at this time, is stick with the old wired Apple extended keyboard. Apple slipped when they didn't make the bluetooth version of the extended keyboard. By the way, WHEN ARE YOU???????????????????

    Belkin YourType was a Waste of $49.00

    Bought this thing a year ago and it was never able to pair with my, always up to date, MBP. Every couple of months I try to rain it and it will not work. Tossed it into the trash this morning.

    I trade for a living and numbers are somewhat important for that. Can't say this thing is great when it works. I expect when I press a number that number will be reflected on the computer. So when it works, it works. The problem is in the "working" part. Connection drops often. Too often. Reboot, battery replacement, prayers to all gods, nothing helps. Very disappointed with Apple and 3rd party support in past few years.

    Problems After Sierra's update

    This product has been working for 2 years, but after the Os Sierra update it isn't working fine. Extremely slow!! the typing is having a delay of 5 seconds, EACH!!!! Impossible to use. :(

    Holy *** I should have surfed the support community for repurchase comments. I need a number pad very badly and thought this would have served me well, but it connects and does absolutely nothing when I type. Should I return it or exchange it for another??????

    Surprised this is on Apple.com Store Site as it is simply not very reliable

    Read all the reviews and if you still buy it, like I did, because I was desperate for numeric wireless keypad that I could use with my 2nd gen Apple keyboard, Apple Touch Pad and Magic Mouse I purchased the day they were released, you will find that all the other negative reviews are accurate. Surprised that Apple.com still wants to be associated with such a poorly performing product. Anyone who does lots of "numbers" or "Numbers" or when forced to do so, Excel, NEEDS a wireless numeric keypad that works with all the newest Apple input tools. Belkin, Apple and any other product vendors, there is a market for a far better "integrated" tool that works with new Apple input devices and most up to date versions of OS X (and how about IOS latest versions too?)!

    Good idea, i thought belkin made quality products. It feels like quality, but very very poor. Currently doesn't work - Apple shouldn't sell this product

    Battery Drainer

    It took a while to get this to pair but once it did it works fine. My only issue is that it goes through batteries like CRAZY. I literally have to replace them once a week. I will likely return and stop using it. Not worth the added cost of constantly buying batteries.

    I found this on another site of upset people whose Belkin keyboard also stopped working like mine

    "After about a half an hour with Apple support and then another 15 minutes of Belkin support, I was told to turn off the unit, take out the batteries, wait a few seconds, put 'em back in and power on the keypad once again. Poof"

    Im currently using my once useless Belkin keyboard again.... hopefully yours will work too

    Major Flaw

    It works fine when you're just crunching numbers. The problem is that it will not automatically sync when you restart your computer. So every day you have to go into your bluetooth settings and pair it again.

    Missing some important keys

    There is a GLARING flaw with this keyboard it is missing command key. Since it isn't link to the onboard keyboard it doesn't know if you are holding down a command key. So if you use a program that requires holding down a command key and a number from the keypad. You are out of luck! you can't use it to get to ASCII characters if you want to use them in a windows based program. It is a shame since there is plenty of room for them to have put in those 3 keys. It does have function keys but I'm not sure how to map them to a command key.

    It DOES work under High Sierra

    Hi, I was also one of many to suddenly found himself with a non-working numeric keypad after it worked flawlessly for over 2 years. Apparently you CAN make it work again. In preferences -> Go to KEYBOARD /Set Up Bluetooth KB -> double click on the Belkin Numeric Keypad. And there you go, works fine. Enjoy (again)!

    Something better must be out there ...

    I do accounting part-time with my personal computer so it is very important that I have the numeric keypad. I use this only because there is nothing better available. It is battery operated rather than rechargeable. It is not possible to turn it off and save the batteries (2 AA) so I have resorted to opening the battery compartment and removing the batteries when I am finished. This is necessary because in my bag, if it gets bumped, it will be picked up by my notebook and I will get something like "77777777777777777777" in the middle of my work.

    Regarding the wireless connection - it sometimes doesn't connect. Sometimes it loses it's connection in the middle of working. The only way to remedy this is to restart my computer and sometimes take the batteries out. Pain in the a**.

    I was fooled by the feel of quality and didn't check reviews. Don't do the same. A wired pad would be a big improvement.

    stopped working

    My keypad seems to have stopped connecting and working when I upgraded to OS10.13.2 (High Sierra). Connects, but nothing happens onscreen, then connection lost.

    FAILED keypad or update/compatibility issue ?

    My BELKIN keypad - worked well for about a year? - had suddenly stopped working !
    Won't pair - looses connection - paired again but won't show numbers on the screen when I'm typing into the keypad.

    I see many other issues about this arising around SEPT 2017 - is this a software update issue from Apple? Or are all BELKIN devices designed to break at the same time? This is very weird ! I enjoyed this product but definitely cannot recommend it for purchase by someone else after seeing/having all these issues!

    I wish there was a "ZERO" star option here, does not work with my 2016 Macbook Pro, gets connected but wouldn't work, I wish i had read reviews before buying it. I dont know what Belkin was thinking to come up with product like this.

    Bought this product in August of 2018. Was great for about 4 months and then it just stopped working. Thought it was the batteries and replaced them. Well it wasn't the batteries. Tried to pair it with the bluetooth on my MacBook Air. Wouldn't
    recognize it. Turned it off and on. Still wouldn't work. What a waste of $50. Just bought one from another company and so far so good. Don't waste your time with this product.

    Worthless piece of...!

    If I can rate this review with ZERO stars I would! This is my second keypad in less than one year with the latter worse than the first one. This should not be sold by Apple as Belkin has taken my money for a shoddy product. I have two useless keypads and are only good as paper weight. I do NOT recommend this product...save your money and purchase an alternative!
