    Priced high but useless!!!!

    • Written by Rafal P from Harwood Heights

I once bought a selfie stick for a $5 and it worked just like that. Couldn't pair it with my phone most of the time. So when I decided to get one for $60 I was sure it will be flawless. Well, I was wrong. I really don't mind the fell of a plastic or maximum length but hey, remote is not working. You pay $60 and the thing is useless. Like someone else already has said - the remote will pair in 1 out of 1000 tries. Totally disappointed. Will return it tomorrow.

    Very poor

    • Written by Martin M from Walthamstow

This product is premium priced but is difficult to assemble and the Bluetooth connection is dreadful.
We had the product replaced after we found the Bluetooth connection wouldn't connect - after virtually every attempt the battery needed to be taken out, the connections tweaked with and then replaced, sometimes a few times.
Unfortunately the new connection is exactly the same.
An unusable product and a complete and utter waste of money!

    Unable to pair

    • Written by Janardhan N from Muscat

Despite following the instructions as given in the manual, the shutter doesn't pair despite being in the On position and next to the mobile phone. Waste of my 50 dollars. Didn't expect this from Apple.

    Don't purchase

    • Written by Laila A from Salt Lake City

    A) Does not tilt. B) The bottom tripod isn't heavy enough to stand on its own. You could buy an ankle weight to wrap around it for it to stand but I wouldn't want to haul around all that. C) Works great as a selfie stick, love the convenience of the remote but you can get a selfie stick for a lot less elsewhere.

It is very hard to connect it through the bluetooth to my iPhone 7. When connected it disconnect sometimes by it self. The cap to hold the battery for the remote controller comes off easily and when putting the battery back you have to go through all the steps trying to reconnect it to your phone !!

    Poor Quality - Feels Cheap

    • Written by Todd M from Buckeye

I liked the option of having a mini tripod and a selfie stick all in one. You have to put this system together when you open the box. Everything has the feel of cheap plastic. I tried to get the tripod legs to level out and it felt like I was going to break them off. The spring loaded phone holder does not feel like it holds the phone securely enough for my comfort. It is a great idea, but with poor components. This thing could be great if it was made out of higher quality components. As is, it isn't worthy of its price and holding my $900 iPhone.

    Don't worthy of its price

    • Written by Anton B from Armavir

Very basic monopod with bluetooth remote control. All parts fit each other well, but grip feels very flimsy and when you try to use it as a stand your precious phone in balance from falling on the ground in this case.
In general I'm satisfied using this stick but I won't recommend it to others.

I bought this stick with pretty high expectations but have been let down here. The transition between selfie stick and stand is not smooth plus the material it's been made of feels fragile.

Poor value. Poor design. Poor customer service. Avoid.

    • Written by Stephen M from Sherborne

I bought this expecting a much better product for the premium pricing. The finish of the telescoping is good but the plastic locking nuts look cheap with injection mould marks. I didn't realise before purchasing that you have two choices of set up. Assembled as a selfie stick the device only collapses from 71cm max to a minimum length of 43cm so is not readily portable. Assembled as a mini tripod it feels plasticky and light. You can't readily switch between the two functioning setups. (The third and fifth photos on the apple website show it fully extended and fully compressed respectively. ) As the final straw, the remote shutter release battery compartment unscrewed and was lost in the first couple of days and iKlip customer service did not offer to replace the key missing part- but just suggested where further third party shutter releases could be purchased. I have never written a negative review before, but honestly would NOT recommend this product.

    Expected MUCH better

Thought I'd be getting a premium selfie stick but that was definitely NOT the case. The material used feels like relatively cheap plastic and it is not easy to switch between Selfie Stick and Tripod mode as mentioned by another reviewer.

    Bought Despite Mixed Reviews

    • Written by Howard R from North Barrington

I was hesitant to purchase this stand biased on the reviews but found it to be versatile enough at an Apple workshop that I bought it anyways. My issues started when I had trouble to getting the instructions out the box-within-the-the-box. However, I was able to assemble it easily without directions. I'm not sure what problems the other people who reviewed this had but they seem to have been corrected.

I left off a star because of the difficultly in sync'ing the Bluetooth remote shutter to my iPhone. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. A flashing light lets you know if have a connection. I have not tried taking the remote and iPhone into Apple for support so this could be a problem on my end.

It collapses into a lightweight package that I found easy and quick to "unfold." I thought it was a decent value for the money and would buy again or give as a gift.

Bought this as a Christmas present. When we opened box, parts were missing. We took it back to apple and got a new box with all the parts. However the bulb thing was made to big so it couldn't assemble. We ended up just getting money back.

Not convenient to use, construction not impressive

    • Written by Siddhartha N from Austin

I was really excited when I bought this product. I thought the combination of a tabletop tripod (with extension arm) and wireless shutter trigger in a really compact form factor made for a must-have product for any iPhone photo enthusiast. The packaging was good quality and the instruction manual was pretty easy to go through. But there are a lot of cons for this product that make me consider returning it:

    1. Poor design: Going from a table top tripod to an extend tripod is not a quick plug and twist operation. It requires un-screwing, attaching extension arm and re-screwing. Not a very smart design, and would take at least a few minutes each time.
    2. In the table top format it was really challenging to fix the phone (iPhone 6) vertically. Took a lot of twisting and adjustment for the ball head to allow this. And after setting it up the tripod looked quite unsteady in this setup, about to topple over in the slightest push/wind.
    3. Overall build quality is quite plasticky, and this contributes to the unsteadiness.

    Recommendation to improve design:
    1. An easier and quicker way to go from tabletop to extended selfie form.
    2. A better ball head mechanism to allow fixing the phone vertically.
