    Very Good with One Flaw

A very good keyboard except that the screen does sit against the palm rest, as others have commented. I have been using mine for a few weeks now and it hasn't scratched the screen as some have reported, but I am now taking the precaution of putting in place a thin, soft screen-cleaning cloth to prevent any possibility of this. I firstly tried a small detached Logitech keyboard (A$78.00) which meant the iPad was free to use as a tablet (which is an advantage), but I then needed to purchase a separate cover, which would be dearer than the keyboard, and, furthermore, the detached keyboard seemed to use more power on Bluetooth (although I can't swear to that). And so I thought about the Apple keyboard which does not completely enclose the iPad (and so you still need a back cover), and then ended up choosing the Logitech Create keyboard - I prefer the Logitech with its complete cover, its steeper angle (which some didn't like), its backlit keys, and its extra function keys. The weight is not an issue for me, because it is still very lightweight and easy to carry in a 13inch bag, compared to a laptop with its heavy charger and cords.

Initially very good, then discovered the damage to my screen

Very happy initially with this item, as it was a good keyboard and provided seemingly excellent protection for the iPad Pro. Later, started to notice the reliability of connection with the iPad Pro was not as good and the unit had to be on 100% level surface to catch every keystroke. When cleaning my screen today, I noticed a terrible rub mark on the screen of my device. This aligns perfectly with the top of the palm rest of the keyboard. Currently in the process of making a Genius Bar appointment, to see if Apple will do anything (purchased both items from the Apple Store).

    cheap case

After only 1 day of use, I decided to return it. The keyboard is ok, but the case is very difficult to use.

    Types flawlessly

I love this keyboard for typing. The keys are exactly the same as any MacBook, so it feels just like a laptop, and the large iPad is well supported. Another nice feature that not everyone knows about, is that the return key is magnetized and can hold the cap for your iPencil while it is plugged into your device syncing. I have not had any issues with keys skipping or losing a connection. I also haven't had any issues with marks on the screen. The only negative is that it adds a little weight to the iPad, and it doesn't fold over that flat when using it as a tablet.
It's not bad though. If you are going to type a lot, this is probably the keyboard you want to get. I found it to be very stable while typing on my lap and while in bed. The apple smart keyboard has a great slim look and feel to it, but it is a little more flimsy and the iPad isn't supported at as good an angle as the Logitech. It lays back a little too far with the apple keyboard. Also, really love the quick keys and shortcuts on the keyboard. I don't know why apple didn't find a way to incorporate that in theirs.

    Logitech Keyboard Case

I've had this case for a week now, I have NOT had any of the issues people are talking about. I'm using it right now, no missed keystrokes EVER, I love the case design, sound is great, design is great, thin design, love the connection type. IPad Pro imidiately recognized the keyboard, it's been smooth sailing ever since. I have large hands, and I still manage to type pretty effortlessly. So easy to take with you anywhere and work, would not want any other case.If this one somehow breaks, don't see that happening anytime soon. I will not HESITATE to get another. Hopefully they will still be available if I need one. Love the Back Lighted keyboard ! I Would Recommend 100 Percent all day, every day. 0 Issues in Over A Week Of Use ! With this case and the Apple Pencil, I am in IPad Pro Heaven !!!

Scratches the Screen. Logitech Support Unhelpful.

While I first thought the product was great, with a thick protective cover for the iPad and a realistic keyboard to type on, I have to give this product one star because it produces a long scratch in the screen where the palm rest of the keyboard touches the glass when the case is closed. Logitech support was unhelpful in reaching any resolution, drawing it out for weeks with emails back and forth, requesting multiple additional pictures, etc. I finally just went back to the Apple store and returned the product, even though it doesn't change the fact that there is now a long scratch down the screen. I am not a heavy user. I would recommend that you NOT purchase this product. It will ruin your iPad screen.

Yes, it does scratch the screen!

Below the spacebar, there is a metal area which rubs against the screen when you close it. I've had my iPad since December and noticed this "line" across the top of the screen. Before, I could clean it off, but now there are permanent scratches on the screen. I tried putting a cloth over the metal area, but there is a magnet that secures the closure and the cloth prevents it from locking. Too bad, the keyboard works great otherwise.

    Leaves Linear Scratches on Display

When I first got this keyboard, it was alright. The keys don't register sometimes and I find myself having to frequently retype things. After using it for a few months, I noticed a line on my display that wasn't cleaning off with a microfiber cloth; it was a permanent scratch caused by the metal palm ridge of the Logitech keyboard rubbing the oleophobic coating off of the iPad to expose the raw glass.

To stop this problem from getting worse, I recommend putting a long strip of clear tape over the palm ridge of the keyboard to prevent it from rubbing against the display when the keyboard case is closed. The tape is softer and smoother than the metal and should prevent the glass of the display from being scratched. This is very poorly designed; the palm ridge is the first thing to touch when the case is closed; the rubber bar at the top of the case touches second.

Permanent mark on my $1000 iPad Pro!

I am so upset and angry! This is totally unacceptable and I will be complaining to Logitech too.

This should NOT be sold in an Apple Store.

Bummer, too, because Logitech usually has such good products.

    I'm Perplexed???....

So I've been reading all the reviews of the Logitech CREATE Backlit Keyboard Case for the 12.9 inch iPad Pro. I have to be honest, I'm a bit confused by all the negative reviews? I bought my iPad Pro & Logitech Keyboard at the same time in early January 2016. So far I've absolutely loved it! After reading about how it scratched screens, I got concerned so I did my own critical check of my iPads screen. To my happy surprise, I haven't found any scratches, permanent or otherwise. I really scrutized the screen in the process. I did my homework and compared this keyboard to the Apple keyboard before purchasing and there were some things about the Logitech one that really stood out for me. The keyboard is backlit, very key for no to low light environments. It protects the front and back of the iPad Pro which is awesome! The Logitech keyboard has more functions than the Apple keyboard. The price of the Logitech keyboard is less than the Apple keyboard and yet these items that I've mentioned are key differences that stood out for me in choosing the Logitech keyboard. If the Apple keyboard mirrored these items I've listed about the Logitech, I have a feeling I would have made a different choice, but as it stands it doesn't.

    Damaged screen

Worked fine as a keyboard, nice backlit screen.

Has left permanent damage to my screen. It seems I'm not the only one. Left linear marks which line up to the pressure points on the keyboard. Do not come off with cleaning...and one part there seems to be an actual chip.

Do not recommend. 0 stars. Will be ordering apple keyboard.

Left a mark on my ipad pro

DO NOT buy this case! It has left a permanent smear on my ipad pro along the right edge. It appears that the front of the keyboard rubs against the ipad while in the case.

    Scuffed Screen

Initially enjoyed the keyboard. The keys were very responsive to typing in addition to being backlite. I now notice a wide scuff across the screen at the top, which corresponds to the bottom of the cover. I only purchased this keypad at the suggestion of the employee at the Apple Store since the Apple keyboard was sold out. Not impressed with a product that is intended to protect, ruin the screen.

    Perfect for iPad Pro

Protects front and back! Backlit and doesn't use Bluetooth! Keyboard works perfect. I'm not sure what the other bad reviews are about. Mine works perfect and I returned the Apple version because the keyboard felt cheap when typing and it didn't cover the back! Perhaps the early productions had issues? Mine works perfect and I travel with this extensively.

    Scratches the screen

I loved this case when I first bought it. Brilliant keyboard which makes the iPad feel like a laptop. I've used it for three months and I have noticed the keyboard 'docking' area has left a long linear scratch all along the screen. This is absolutely gutting. If you buy it, purchase a screen protector too to save the disappointment a few months down the line.

I am not impressed with this keyboard. Daily problems getting it to be recognized. I want to use the physical keyboard not the onscreen version. VERY problematic. Do not recommend.

    Logitech keyboard's lagg

I am writing this review using he logitec keyboard and I will not adjust any typos or mis-spaces caused by this tool's lagging problem. As mentioned in similar bad reviews, the keyboard does not respond to my typing the way it should on all applications. Some keys simply do not respond and pressing the space bar is a 50:50 chance for getting it right or keeping the sentences with no space.

The xperience is quite frustrating and time onsuming as I take extra care when typing. as you can see from the previous sentence the keyboard did not respond to my strokes of the letter e in experience and c in consuming. this is random and adhoc in its performance for a reason that elludes me.

I xpected much better quality and responsiveness especially that I trust the logitec brand and always buy their products regardless of price.

I do not know if this is fixable through software or the hardware itself needs improvement. Anyways my expereince is bad and I will try returning this tool and get my money back.

The alumunium touches your screen, and overtime it scratches it. More information can be found if you googled with
"Logitech Create Backlit Ipad pro scratch" should be in apple discussion board since i cant link it here.

The case itself is quite comfortable for long hours of word processing
Backlit made it comfortable typing in darkness, and lowlit environment
with this keyboard, my ipad pro replaced my macbook air. (4.5/5)

This keyboard has a "feel" that is far superior to the Apple keyboard/case and so it was very tempting. However, the connection is unstable. Some letters are dropped, some "stick" (are repeated multiple times). It causes you to type very slowly, very carefully, and it just doesn't make for a comfortable experience.
