The alumunium touches your screen, and overtime it scratches it. More information can be found if you googled with
"Logitech Create Backlit Ipad pro scratch" should be in apple discussion board since i cant link it here.

The case itself is quite comfortable for long hours of word processing
Backlit made it comfortable typing in darkness, and lowlit environment
with this keyboard, my ipad pro replaced my macbook air. (4.5/5)

This keyboard has a "feel" that is far superior to the Apple keyboard/case and so it was very tempting. However, the connection is unstable. Some letters are dropped, some "stick" (are repeated multiple times). It causes you to type very slowly, very carefully, and it just doesn't make for a comfortable experience.

The keyboard is lagging and words are often jumbled. Words don't appear instantly. This keyboard has a slow response and it is a real pain when typing essays. Moreover, there is a bug that when I type a letter once, my iPad would keep on typing that letter until I press another button. Please solve this problem ASAP or I might just buy the Apple keyboard

    Problem with Logitech Create keyboard

The Create is my second Logitech keyboard. Have another one for iPad Air and I have been completely satisfied. Purchased the new Create along with my new iPad Pro. I was very satisfied......UNTIL I noticed scratches appearing in a line across the top of the iPad Pro screen. This line of scratches matches where the raised ridge is located on the bottom of the keyboard.....where your hands rest when typing. When you close the case this ridge contacts the glass screen. Apple replaced my iPad Pro [covered with Apple Care] without any questions. They would not refund the cost of the Create case. The store rep said this was a known issue with the Create case and that it would be redesigned. I have not yet attempted a refund from Logitech. I needed a keyboard case, so I did some research and purchased the Zagg keyboard case for the iPad Pro. Very satisfied with this choice. I like it better than the Logitech choice.

    Scratches screen - other problems!

I just realized today that my screen is being worn in a line pattern across the top and bottom like others have reviewed. I am so angry that my screen is being scratched by a product that is supposed to be protecting it. This alone is enough to avoid this product. I bought this keyboard and case unseen and unreviewed because I trusted Logitech to build good products. That will never happen again.

Other problems... I was willing to ignore all these other short comings until I realized my screen is being damaged. I will stop using it today until I figure out how to protect my screen.

    * keyboard is slow
    * it is a bit noisy to type on.
    * the outside of the case always seems to be dirty and the rough texture makes it hard to clean.
    * sometimes it just stops working, misses keystrokes so you have to go back and fix things too often.
    * lack of adjustable screen angle is often annoying
    * it is a very heavy case for such a light device. doubles the weight just for a keyboard.
    * the strength of the connection between the ipad and keyboard is not really strong enough. It comes appart too easily

Wow, I am so angry at Logitech for damaging my screen. Unbelievable.

Very disapointed with this, I'm on my second replacement and I still have the same issue, it can become very unresponsive and twice has crashed my iPad. It's a real shame as the design is great and I like the back light, I'll be taking it back for a refund.

    Utterly disappointed

I'm an avid supporter of Logitech. My gaming mouse, keyboard, all my cases for my apple products are from Logitech. However, this kills it all. Although it had all the features I was looking for in an ipad pro case, it left 2 lines of permanent scratches on my ipad pro. That is close to $2,000 permanently scarred.

It was initially laggy when I was using it to type, but as the metallic contacts eased in, it got much better. Including the fact that the keys are back-lit and more tactile than the apple keyboard, this was supposed to be THE case of choice. Why logitech? Why such a fundamental flaw?

Lags, drops letters, bulky and heavy

Logitec got my money on this one, but from now on I'm staying away from the brand.

Having bought this keyboard for work, I now find that it's virtually useless. It keeps lagging, and dropping random letters. I had to cut my typing speed by 70%, and sometimes not even that is enough.

Size and weight doesn't bother me, it's for work. But then I come on here to read that it scratches ipads as well? Whatever you do, avoid this keyboard.

    The good:
    - Backlit keys.

    The bad:
    - The keyboard lags, and keeps dropping random letters. Sometimes a keypress gets repeated endlessly.
    - Size and weight.
    - Reports of the keyboard-case scratching ipads.

Skips letters and is very slow.

I've owned about everything Jobs' companies have come out with (yes, including the NeXT), and love most of them. My iPad Pro would be so much better if I could find a keyboard or case that worked. I took back the Apple Keyboard because it was very clumsy. It seemed to be 'over engineered,' and didn't really support the iPad's weight. I 'upgraded' to this Logitech keyboard, but it is insanely frustrating. I type an average of 103 WPM on my Laptop, and 87 on my iPads. I have had to slow down to about 35 WPM to get this Logitech to work, and even at that it still skips about ever 20th letter. Having to read everything you type, as you go, is not acceptable. The delete key will wear out on this thing within a month, just fixing words that are missing letters. I've only had it for three days, but it is going back. Probably the worst keyboard I have owned in 30 years.

    NO - DANGER - NO - DON'T BUY!!!!

I have never written a review for a product on the Apple site, but I HAVE TO! This case permanently scratched my brand new iPad pro.... I am so angry it's hard to even write this. Yes the keyboard completely lags, misses characters, gets them out of order. THings a keyboard shouldn't do. I was still OK with it, because I was sure it was protecting my iPad because it's so durable and heavy. That's right, HEAVY.... It's all of the form factor out of this amazing apple product. This iPad was 1100 bucks and this case created a scratch 1 inch from the edge along the entire screen. PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS AND DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!! I didn't read reviews because I bought this the day the iPad came out... WORST MISTAKE EVER!!!

I had purchased the exact same keyboard but in the color purple, and it left a very noticible scratch on my iPad due to the edge of the palm rest. I then took it to Apple to see what they could do about it, and after they kept wiping it with a cloth to see if it will go away, they basically said there was nothing they could do about it. Apple hasn't started repairs on iPad pros yet so I'm stuck with a big line going across my screen. My thoughts are that due to the edge pressing against the screen when it's closed, it damaged the glass and it damages my LED too. I've tried getting in touch with Logitech to ask for my money back but they haven't responded. Feels like 900 dollars gone to waste :)

Leaves Mark on top portion right side of the screen

I noticed a line going arcross the top of my ipad pro. I thought it was just a smudge from the keyboard but it looks like a permant mark as it does not rub off. I can't recommend this case with this issue. Otherwise it is great, but can't have the case/keyboard damage this expensive Ipad Pro. Better fix that in the next version. Not happy.

    Screen Scratcher

This key board has 2 major issues, first it scratched the top and bottom of my iPad pro screen and secondly there is no way to dictate this review as there is when using the built in keyboard.

    Terrible buy!

I bought this keyboard because the Apple version had a 4-5 week waiting list. It has terrible lag and I have found myself having to make slow, deliberate keystrokes as the keyboard does not seem to be able to keep up! Writing on the iPad Pro has become a chore using this keyboard and I would strongly advise against purchasing it.

The case, as others have noted, is bulky and, to top it all, my volume button snapped today...I've only had it 6 weeks! The viewing angle is not good and the case just isn't flexible enough for day-to-day use.

I want to be fair, but the only positive I have found is the backlit keyboard.

    DO NOT BUY!!!

Hi all! I've had this case for about a month now and initially I liked it. After spending some time in a backback with school the raised palm portion of the keyboard has superficially scratched my iPad pro's screen. I though it was just some oil buildup at first but these scratches will not buff out. I've tried contacting the company but they do not make it easy to find an email address, and I don't have time to spend an hour on the phone. Again, do not waste your money on this product. IT DAMAGES YOUR IPAD.

Made my sound on iPad not work.

When I first received this, it was great, didn't have a problem with it for the first couple of days. As I progressively started to use it more I would have my headphones plugged into my iPad as I would listen to music while using it or watch Netflix. When I would take the headphones out the sound would not play from my iPad. At first I thought it was the iPad so I exchanged the iPad. This issue didn't happen for a couple of more days, so I thought it was resolved, but given a couple more days the issue reoccurred. I did an experiment and took the iPad out of this case and the sound worked perfectly. Come to find out it wasn't the iPad it was the case. In conclusion, I would not recommend for an avid heaphone listener as the external sound may not work afterwards.

The key board element is good. The case is awful unless using on a flat surface. The I pad pro doesn't fit well into it and becomes detached

If there was zero stars, I would give that

Absolute rubbish. Apple should be ashamed to stock this product. Misses keys, lag, every problem imaginable. Useless. Don't buy it!!!!
