    Terrible buy!

I bought this keyboard because the Apple version had a 4-5 week waiting list. It has terrible lag and I have found myself having to make slow, deliberate keystrokes as the keyboard does not seem to be able to keep up! Writing on the iPad Pro has become a chore using this keyboard and I would strongly advise against purchasing it.

The case, as others have noted, is bulky and, to top it all, my volume button snapped today...I've only had it 6 weeks! The viewing angle is not good and the case just isn't flexible enough for day-to-day use.

I want to be fair, but the only positive I have found is the backlit keyboard.

    DO NOT BUY!!!

Hi all! I've had this case for about a month now and initially I liked it. After spending some time in a backback with school the raised palm portion of the keyboard has superficially scratched my iPad pro's screen. I though it was just some oil buildup at first but these scratches will not buff out. I've tried contacting the company but they do not make it easy to find an email address, and I don't have time to spend an hour on the phone. Again, do not waste your money on this product. IT DAMAGES YOUR IPAD.

Made my sound on iPad not work.

When I first received this, it was great, didn't have a problem with it for the first couple of days. As I progressively started to use it more I would have my headphones plugged into my iPad as I would listen to music while using it or watch Netflix. When I would take the headphones out the sound would not play from my iPad. At first I thought it was the iPad so I exchanged the iPad. This issue didn't happen for a couple of more days, so I thought it was resolved, but given a couple more days the issue reoccurred. I did an experiment and took the iPad out of this case and the sound worked perfectly. Come to find out it wasn't the iPad it was the case. In conclusion, I would not recommend for an avid heaphone listener as the external sound may not work afterwards.

The key board element is good. The case is awful unless using on a flat surface. The I pad pro doesn't fit well into it and becomes detached

If there was zero stars, I would give that

Absolute rubbish. Apple should be ashamed to stock this product. Misses keys, lag, every problem imaginable. Useless. Don't buy it!!!!

    Perfect...when it works.

It's my fault. Really. I should have read the reviews before I bought this keyboard. Not only that, I should have read the reviews immediately after I experienced glitches. Instead, I just assumed it was me. Here's what is nice about the keyboard:

    - The backlight is awesome. It's a shame that Apple couldn't have figured this out with their keyboard.
    - The key spacking and tactile feedback are second to none.
    - The protection of the whole iPad is nice, though I keep my cased when I am out and about, so this was less important to me.
    - No battery to charge.

    What's really bad.
    - Lag. And I mean L----A----G. There are times it's great, and times I fee like I could get a cup of coffee and come back while it's still catching up.
    - Keys failing to register when they're pressed. This keyboard seems to think it's okay to skip letters as I type. Yes, the auto-correct will sometimes catch the errors. Other times, it just doesn't.
    - It demands space. Or, rather, it demands spaces. Sometimes, while typing, the space bar grows a mind of its own---and keeps inserting spaces. All without me touching the keyboard. Thought it's sort of amusing to watch the cursor continue to sail across the screen, it's not much fun in the middle of an important note.

So, back this beast will go. I have the Apple Smart Cover (or whatever they call it), and I don't have these issues.

Do you know what? It's actually amazing!

I never ever write any reviews but I felt that I owe it to Logitech as their product is spot on!
I nearly bought the original recommended Apple keyboard but then I thought: it's not just the keyboard that I'm after - I also need a case!
This product is 10 out of 10! It's really well made, looks really professional, the keys are very responsive and the screen is set at the perfect angle for both typing and viewing.
It just makes my jPad (as I named it after my first initial ) look like a very stylish laptop.
I can genuinely say: look no further - purchase this product!!

    Great Keyboard

I have read most of the reviews and I am so sorry. I have had my keyboard now for about two months. The Apple keyboard was on back order so I cancelled and went to the Apple store to get this one. I love it!! There is no damage to the Ipad, I love the backlighting, and the typing is excellent as that is the main reason I wanted the Ipad and keyboard for digital note taking. Make sure the ipad is secure in the case. I have had no problem so far. I'm glad the Apple keyboard was on back order. Thanks Logitech. Just wish it had keyboard cover while I'm typing. Sometimes I snack while typing, just have to be careful.

    Excellent Keyboard and Case

The Logitech CREATE is the best keyboard for iPad pro. I have tried several and this is the best. Durable, great keyboard, and simple to use. No cords for charging. I definitely recommend this product.

Weight, screen angle, ease of attaching

Too heavy for me. Defeats the purpose of iPad Pro as opposed to Mac laptop. If I wanted a proper keyboard, I'd get the laptop over the iPad Pro combination. Difficult to attach or remove for when I want to use the iPad Pro as a tablet. The final straw was the screen angle - it's too steep for me.

Pros - it's well made, backlit, excellent feel to the casing. Feels and looks like quality.

In the end, just not what I'm looking for. Went with the Apple keyboard and silicone casing which is exactly what I need.

I still give it 4 stars because it's a good product even though it wasn't what I required.

It doesn't keep up with my typing. I often have to go back and correct mistakes I know I didn't make. I've had to do it 7 times already just writing this review.

    Not Worth It!!

This keyboard is terrible. I bought one with the ipad when it came out, and exchanged it for a new one thinking mine was defective. The keys are terrible. The backlit keyboard was a huge selling point for me, but the negatives out-wiegh the positives big time. The key board is soooo slooowww. When you type, it CONSTANTLY skips letters and spaces and symbols. I am a very slow typer and it still cant handle it. It just skips constantly. I bought this to take notes in class, and I spend so much time backspacing and fixing skipped letters that I barely get things out of my lectures. DO NOT BUY IT. Wait for a better option

    Waste of money

At first I thoughtI use needed to adjust my style but soon realized this keyboard is a very slow moving, bad fit. I would have expected better from Logitech since the last keyboard with my iPad Ali was terrific. I type letters and they don't show up. I constantly must return to a sentence to retune. I am now in search of another keyboard so quickly after starting with this one. BTW, this paragraph took me nearly 5 minutes to type out because it he missing letters or autocorrect deficiencies. Warning - wait for a better keyboard.

    Sending mine back

I have the same product for my iPad Air 2 and I assumed this would be just as wonderful, but it is not. My problem was the FIT. The iPad Pro kept popping out on the right upper corner of the case and kept falling forward when closing. It just does not fit snugly enough to be secure. After this kept happening over and over again (especially when just closing the case or standing to type), I gave up. Will be on the look-out for something more reliable.

    Do not buy, danger danger!

I purchased two iPad pro and. Purchased two Logitech CREATE Backlit Keyboard Case for iPad Pro , while the product works well, I noticed after 30 or so days that the keyboards have gouged a track in to both iPad pro glass displays. On closer inspection I noticed that the keyboard palm rest rubs against the iPad glass when closed. Nice full length gouge has started to appear in the glass I noticed it today during Netflix movie when the screen was very black.it appears about 2 " from the top of the display and extends almost all the way from left to right. I checked my other iPad Pro and the same gouge there.I am thinking Logitech might want to add a little bumper along this area. Right now I have two damaged IPADs I will call apple later to see what can be done.

Apple Smart Keyboard vs Logitech Keyboard Case - Apple Keeps Tablet Feel

Apple Smart Keyboard vs Logitech Create Backlit Keyboard Case for iPad Pro

I bought both to try for a month or so. I'll be returning the Logitech Create Keyboard and keeping the Apple Smart Keyboard.

Neither is perfect. Though the Logitech might be slightly better in terms of typing experience, the Apple Smart Keyboard is something you can definitely grow into. The Logitech Create certainly isn't Logitech's best keyboard in terms of typing comfort and is still a compromise compared with a laptop with a good keyboard.

The main reason I've kept the Apple Smart Keyboard is because it keeps the iPad Pro as a tablet. The Logitech turns the iPad Pro into a laptop. Despite other reports, it is actually fairly easy to rip the iPad Pro out of the Logitech Keyboard Case but having to do so repeatedly to turn it back into a tablet or to more easily take a photo (documents etc) is quite annoying and galling. It is relatively easy and effortless to tear the iPad Pro away from the Apple Keyboard and instantly turn it back into a tablet.

The Logitech is also much heavier.

The combination of iPad Pro and Logitech Keyboard case comes in at 1.45kg vs 1.05kg for the iPad Pro Apple Smart Keyboard combination. You certainly feel the difference. One feels like you can carry it everywhere in the workplace and the other feels like a laptop.

If you pick up the combination by the end of the keyboard, the Logitech often disconnects from the keyboard portion leaving the iPad Pro flailing solely attached to the back cover. The iPad Pro + Apple Smart combination is surprisingly much sturdier if you just pick up the keyboard almost certainly due to the rolled triangular back support.

Yes there are cons to the Apple device, no backlighting or shortcut keys and it also only comes in one bland grey colour.

So there you have it, if you want to turn your iPad Pro into a laptop, then the Logitech is the way to go with the slightly better typing experience, backlighting and shortcut keys. The Logitech Create shares its DNA with Logitech Type + for iPad.

I would have preferred a device modelled on the Logitech Ultrathin for iPad.

However, if you want to keep the tablet feel of the device, if you want to be able to walk around with the device in the open position, be able to hold the device up in mid air with one hand and type with the other and be able to turn the thing back into a tablet readily and easily, then you'll be able to adjust to the slightly different feel of the Apple Smart Keyboard.

Yes the Logitech offers better protection so get a sleeve if you're going to get the Apple Keyboard.

    Damaged the Ipad Pro

I give this product two stars because it is a great keyboard. The keys feels great to type on and it is strudy. However this product damaged my IPad Pro. It caused preasure scaring at the top of the screen. I had to return the keyboard and apple had to replace the pro.

Caused nothing but problems for my iPad pro

I used this keyboard for about two weeks before it started creating problems for my iPad. It started with a small flicker in the top left-hand corner and soon began to spread across the screen. I know it was the keyboards doing - it's been less than 24 hours since I've taken it out of the case and the flickering has completely stopped. The flickering didn't affect the performance of the iPad, but it definitely hurt my vision after working on the iPad for an extended period of time. When I would finally look away from the screen, everything I looked at would flicker!

I write a lot and was hoping to use the iPad and keyboard as a replacement for my old laptop, but the keyboard doesn't stay in sync with my while I'm typing. It skips letters I know I've typed, and will randomly switch letters around that I have typed in a different order. I even slowed down my typing to see if it was just me making errors as I type, but it was definitely the keyboard.

Additionally, and I have this on video, the keyboard will randomly move the cursor down to the end of the line that I am typing and won't let me use the delete button to go back, I have to use my finger to touch the screen to where I was. On more than one occasion, the keyboard also moves the cursor backwards, deleting what I've just written. I have to press a random button or touch the screen to stop it. I'm very thankful I didn't look away when that happened, or get up from my desk, otherwise all of my work would have been deleted and I would have no idea why.

I bought this keyboard because it got such good reviews, but I've had nothing but trouble from it. I'm taking it back today and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

    Well Made but...

I was very surprised how heavy this was (I should have read the specs with more care) and ungainly too unless sitting at a desk. In the end I have returned it. I don't want to transform the slim, balanced and very well built iPad Pro with something that makes it into a lump as bad as a windows laptop.
