Do not buy if you have a Jet Black iPhone!

    • Written by Ben F from Salisbury

I bought the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus and was excited for this case as I wanted to protect my phone as much as possible - especially as Apple warned me about the increased likelihood of the phone showing microabrasions to the jet black finish. I put the case on the handset and the build quality was great and I felt like I was protected against every eventuality. However, I took the case off of my phone today to show a friend the amazing colour of my handset only to find that the inside of the case is ridged, causing multiple scratches all down the back of my shiny new phone! To say I'm angry and disgusted is an understatement!

i used the 6/6s version of this case and believe it was one of the best cases ever bought. now i have the iPhone 7 so decided to buy the iPhone 7 version of this case and straightaway i was put off by the combination of colour design..come on tech21 putting a white design on the back and making it hard to reach the mute switch, volume buttons are hard to press and uncomfortable. every button seems sticky and uncomfortable to press. Now I feel like the worse case ever bought so I returned it and kept my 6s case for the iPhone 7.

The silence button is impossible to use unless you have long nails

    • Written by Joseph S from Huntington Beach

I have always used tech 21 cases and today i got my 7plus with this case and unless i use something other than long nails, i cannot get to the toggle. Are there plans to address this?

Case has potential, but fitment is poor

    • Written by BRANDON N from Flagstaff

Case is good looking, and feels great in the hand. While this is a good aspect, its greatest downfall lies in the phone fitment

Case is snug on the top and sides, but is very loose fitting on the bottom/grille area. This part comes off when taking the phone out of my pocket. I have little faith in the case providing protection in the event of a drop. I've had this same issue with a Tech21 case on my iPhone 6 Plus, it seems like Tech21 really needs some quality control or to redesign the case.

I will be returning it ASAP.

Awesome case updated for iPhone 7!

    • Written by William K from Louisville

I've used Tech21 cases for the last few generations of iPhones and they have always been amazing - they wear well and have saved my phone more than a few times, bouncing off concrete sidewalks without damage to the phone OR case!

HOWEVER, their case for the 7 Plus comes with an unexpected plus - the bumps on the lower edge of the case are ever so slightly thinner, such that the phone now docks with the Apple Lightning dock without the need to remove it from the case! Apple's dock is not only very good, but it also provides a headphone jack, allowing you to listen AND charge.

Highly recommended just as a case, but being able to dock the phone while still in the case is invaluable and a great unexpected surprise!

    Not worth the money!

    • Written by Deb C from Saint louis

This case is a waste of money because no one can hear me when it's on. I have to take it off every single time I talk to someone! Ugh!

    Completely misses the mark

    • Written by Cameron H from Dover

I'm usually a huge fan of Tech21 cases, having used them on a few different products in the past, but I have to say, this one really misses the mark. The case adds substantial size to the phone. It fits poorly - you can actually hear the case rubbing up against the phone if you try to use the power button. The design is horrendous - the mute button is almost impossible to reach and the bottom speakers have these huge awkward cutouts that make the phone prone to scratching in the one area it's most likely to scratch. It's three days old and already looks worn too. Would not suggest.

I was hesitant to spend a lot of money on a phone case but since I had just purchased the newest iphone i thought best keep it safe. Although I haven't dropped my phone yet, so can't really judge the case on its protection over screen, it SCRATCHED THE BACK, making it look worn out after only a week of having had the case on the whole time. How can a phone protector scratch my phone more? It's completely missing its whole purpose....Really infuriating. The design of the case is also extremely lacking with little choice in colour, and hard to take off and on your phone.

    Great Case - gets dirty

    • Written by Katherine G from New Rochelle

Love this case, have dropped my phone countless times and it is surprisingly protective considering how slim/sleek it is. However, after daily typical use for around 2 months, the (white) case turned a brownish dirty color on the sides. The wear has made the case super ugly, enough that I'm buying a new one so soon. That being said I am buying the same case- just in a darker color.

TLDR; Great case but get a dark color, regular use makes it look gross.

    Not up to Tech21 Standards

    • Written by Daniel H from Poway

I bought this case to protect my iPhone 7 after using Tech21 cases on earlier iPhones. I discovered, after using it for a few days, that I can't toggle the silence button because my finger can't reach in far enough to toggle the switch. This flaw in design made the case useless to me. I had to go out and buy a different case that could control all the buttons on my phone. I would advise not to to buy this case until this flaw in design is fixed.

    Poor Fit

Looks great, but after installation it's one big disappointment. Can't get easy at the ringtone sound on/off switch and the bottom looks and feels like a ruuber band.

    not worth it

    • Written by David M from Raleigh

This case adds a LOT of bulk to the iPhone 7. Not only that, it's floppy... and if you don't have long fingernails, you can't flip the silence switch next to the volume controls... and I don't have fat fingers either. Also, after only 3 days of use, the bottom corners of the phone have popped out of the case. It does not hold the phone snug at all. it was recommended to me by someone in the Apple Store... I'm taking it back. I don't recommend it and would give it 0 stars if I could.

    OK Case.

    • Written by Harrison G from Port Erin

I like the design of the case, as I have had previous tech21 cases before.
The white and black looks nice in my opinion, quite cool.

However, the volume buttons and also the power button are incredibly hard to press. And, it is really awkward to access the mute switch and my finger can't fit through!

I like it, but don't see it lasting long.

For me, between 3 and 4 stars

    • Written by David R from Alameda

I like the material: the phone feels more secure in my hands compared to the cool leather case I bought with the phone, and I like that it doesn't slide easily on smooth surfaces. Yet, remarkably, the case doesn't seem to stick to clothes, like silicone covers do, when inserting and removing from pockets. My only complaint is the common complaint - the ringer switch is very difficult to reach. The black case is nice - too bad the Apple logo is covered by the mesh! I bought the case for travel, but will likely go back to the leather case for day to day, as I use the ringer switch daily on the job. As far as fit goes, the case seems secure enough on the phone - I like that it's relatively easy to install and remove.

Best Tech21 case I've had yet!

    • Written by Meg M from Webster

I was skeptical to buy this case after noticing bad reviews, but it is certainly on par with other Tech21 cases I've had. Sure the bottom portion of the case is a little looser than the top, but I really think it is just for ease of taking the case on and off. I have had no problems in the case slipping off whatsoever. Also, I was hesitant about the mute/volume button since reviews stated that you need long nails to reach it. Conclusion: I keep my nails trimmed down as far as possible and I experience no issues toggling it, but I guess I could see how somebody with larger hands may have difficulty. This case is made beautifully and if you are debating whether or not you should go for it I definitely encourage you to stop in the store to see for yourself or just order it! After happily going from a 5c, to a 6, to now a 7, I can't see myself owning any other case than a Tech21.

    Awful case!!!

    • Written by Pavel U from New York

It's the first time I bought a VERY EXPENSIVE case and I regret every minute of it. First of all - the case is HUGE and I mean it's really big and uncomfortable. Second - people can't hear me when it's on, I have to take it off every time I talk on the phone. As if that's not enough - the transparent part now has discoloration and is turning brown. As mentioned by many - mute button is unusable. The case is waste of money.

    Love it

    • Written by Juliet D from Tacoma

Love it. Looks great and fits great. Easy to put on and take off. The bottom seemed loose like other reviews say but I tossed the phone around and the case is firmly on and well protected. Buttons are tough to press right now but I'm confident that will break in over time.

    Best Case out there

    • Written by Bryan R from North Salt Lake

My wife and I both have this case and we have had this brand on all our other iPhones. They are the best. They make the phone easier too hold on to. They keep the phone protected and they look good.

I had a tech 21 case on a 6 and it was perfect. This unfortunately is not. Impossible to get to the silence toggle. Also, the fit at the bottom of the phone is not aligned properly at all. I can barely get the charger cord in to the phone, and when it is in I need to push the plastic to the side, which will break in the very near future. Not ready for prime time. Bummed.
