    Less than impressed

I was very excited that buying this device would take my pursuit of better sleep to the next level but ended up quite disappointed. Nearly all reading you do on the subject would tell you when looking to improve your sleep you should start with going to bed on a set schedule. Not only does the app not encourage that but it doesn't even track the time you went to bed or woke. Really - no where does it track the time you fell asleep or got out of bed.

More on the app is that there is very little documentation in understanding everything it is tracking or what impacts the numbers. I did not find the app to make any real observations or suggestions on what to do to improve sleep. It seems completely up to the user to keep hashtag notes each day and figure it out for yourself.

The device was easy enough to setup though I'm not sure it's a accurate as indicated. First it indicated a couple nights that I had slept significantly less than I believed I had based on two other apps; my fitbit and an app to track snoring. The snore tracking was inaccurate and inconsistent based on another app I use that actually records sound. I also found the auto tracking to be completely annoying. There is no setting that allows for auto tracking based on time of day so I would find any time I sat down on the bed for anything the sensor would activate as though it was going to track my sleep cycle.

Though I use a fitbit currently I have found the best sleep tracking and app to be the Jawbone and the Jawbone 3 device. It auto tracks going to bed, provides insightful tracking for quality of sleep and heart information and provides suggestions. For tracking my snoring I use Snore Lab from the app store.

Love my Beddit 3 Sleep Tracker

If you are someone who is looking to monitor your sleep to hopefully improve your overall sleeping patterns, the Beddit 3 Sleep Tracker is for you! There is no device to wear (the tracker is under your sheet near your chest area), you simply press the "sleep tab" on your app when you go to bed and then hit the "I'm awake" tab when you get up in the morning. You will have a score anywhere from 0 to 100 based on your sleep time, sleep efficiency, depth of your sleep, snoring, etc. After looking at your sleep score, you can scroll down on that same page to see more detail - ie: depth of your sleep, heart rate info, respiratory rate, average temp of the room, and average humidity, etc. There are also tips that the app gives you to help improve your sleep. I love the app and the Beddit 3 Sleep Tracker. Because of it, I more aware of trying to develop good sleeping habits.

    Great metrics and interface

I had the first version of this device and app. It worked really well, but the only trouble was I had to remember to turn it on each night (I rarely forgot). The new version 3 turns on automatically any time I lay down. I love that feature. I like the heart rate, breathing, and sleep efficiency metrics. They really help be better understand my overall health and the effects of my daily life and behaviors on my sleep, like alcohol consumption, exercise, yoga, stretching, sex, etc. It all shows up in different ways in the metrics that Beddit collections. I definitley chose not to drink alcohol far more often now than before Beddit because now I understand how consuming alcohol will affect the quality of my sleep. It's awesome!

    It just works

The Beddit 3 sleep tracker, unlike many of its competitors, is completely unobtrusive and works reliably, at least for me. It fit under my bedsheet and no one knows it is there. I go to sleep and wake up, and with no action on my part I have an accurate record of my nights sleep. I have gained some important insights on how I sleep and how my attitude relates to the sleep I get. The app is intuitive and easy to use for the most part, and syncs up with apple health data. I highly recommend beddit.

    Awesome!

It works great. The one improvement I would like to see is the exact time one falls asleep and wakes up. I have previously used Fitbit and Zeo, both left a feeling that something missing.

It's You ... Not the Beddit!

After several weeks I was amazed at the variability of my sleep scores ... from a near-perfect 98 to a zombie-like 26 ... and was ready to blame the Beddit. However, I inevitably found a correlation between something I ate, did or changed with every 'bad' sleep score and likewise a correlation with consistent bedtime patterns with every 'good' sleep score.

Beddit 3 works as advertised. Those who complain it is reporting highly variable results are "doing it wrong" ... their sleep results ARE highly variable. Beddit is accurately reporting "how they feel" when they arise the next morning.

    Non-intrusive sleep tracker

I have used the Beddit 3 sleep tracker for two weeks now and love how I can see my sleep pattern every morning. The sensor is not noticeable and works very good for me. No need to switch on or do anything, just lay down and it works by itself with my phone next to my bed.

    Excellent!

It works as advertised and does exactly what it aims to do. If you set it up correctly, it works flawlessly and produces accurate results. I am happy with my purchase and have no complaints.

    New info about myself

I have own Beddit3 now 2 weeks and found out that it is great. I only need to place it into my bed plus during night have my iPhone close to bed and after that all is automatic. It have been great to see what sort of sleep I have slept and how was my HR+breathing during the night and did I snore. As I have not kept my phone in bedroom before so if I could use my Apple Watch for collecting data plus its microphone for snoring detection then this would be totally superb.

One of the best and most convinient automatic sleep trackers

I have been using Jawbone UP and other tools for some time and always been bit frustrated on the hassle of letting the devices know that I am sleeping or have woken up. Beddit 3 for me is completely automatic and works even, when my phone is in next room closeby. This means, that I go to sleep, put my phone next to bed or bit further and without pushing any button, I get my whole sleep and wakings tracked. I have yet to find issues with the tracker .. besides myself not sleeping enough hours with 3 small kids :-)

    Not for everybody!

My husband bought beddit 3 for me last month and I am deeply disappointed :(

After reading the great reviews I was convinced this is the right sleep tracker for me because it promises to measure the amount of sleep and also whether the sleep has been light or deep. Unfortunately in my case the results are widely INACCURATE.

Beddit simply does not know when I'm asleep and when I'm awake. My biggest problem concerning sleep is insomnia so it takes a lot of time for me to fall asleep and I often lay awake in the middle of the night. So I bought beddit to know how much sleep do I really get and which hours are the best "sleeping time" for me. But night after night the beddit App reports say I have fallen asleep quickly, haven't been awake during the night (unless I have been out off bed) and my sleep score is excellent (average 96) even when I know this is not true. And I know this because I repeatedly check the time when I have trouble getting sleep (this might take as long as 2 to 3 hours) and also if I stay awake for a longer period of time during the night, usually over an hour. Still beddit reports I have been deeply asleep when I know for a fact I have been awake. I sent an inquiry to the beddit customer service and they told me beddit detects sleep solely based on movement. OK I know I tend to lay in bed quite still and for the next couple nights I deliberately moved my body as much as possible when I was awake. Still I got the same results; I have been asleep the whole night. And I'm truly amazed how much I can do and beddit still thinks I'm sleeping as long as I don't leave the bed. Have conversations with my husband, eat a snack, drink water, read etc. One morning I was even on the phone for 20 minutes and beddit didn't even count this as snoring! And every morning I press the "I'm up" button while still asleep according to beddit even if I press it after being awake for 30 minutes.

To sum up beddit is inaccurate and completely useless at least for me. It doesn't even report me having any sleep cycles, just a flat line in between light and deep sleep. I don't think there is anything wrong with the device since for my husband it works fine with sleep cycles and everything.

So be careful before you buy the beddit it you are a "lay still" person like me. The problem might also be that I'm slim and very athlete who knows?

The customer service also is not so excellent. I always have to wait several days to get a reply and right now I am waiting for an answer to the question does my beddit need spare parts or can I return it.

    The best

I have been using the Beddit sleep tracker version 2 and now upgraded to version 3. This is the best sleep tracker you can buy. It is good value for money, reliable, easy to install and you don't even know it's under your sheet. I choose to press the sleep button every night, but it just as easily detects you are in bed and starts working. It's not intrusive, the connectivity box that plugs into the wall has a long lead and is descrete.
The results are very accurate. Customer service is A+++ I would highly recommend the Beddit!

Beddit 3 is just the perfect sleep tracker

I have been using Jawbone Up for quite some time but this is so much better.
Just slide it under your mattress, sleep and forget about it. Absolutely nothing to wear and you won't even notice it's there.
No hassle with recharges too since it's always plugged in to the outlet.
I had a bit of a trouble with the sensor to stay put all night. Even with the rubber studs it does tend to move during the night.
I ended up sticking it with a few drops of glue to the mattress. Not pretty i know but it works.
The data as far as i'm concerned seems very accurate and reliable, heart rate, breathing, times away from bed, temperature and humidity, it even detects snoring!
Pity you can't see HRV directly on the app even though it measures it (judging from the excel report you can generate).
Trend view goes up to 90 days, i think it shoud go up to a year. No big deal because you can always export all the measurements as an excel file and make any graph you want from that.
The app itself is very well made with clearly laid out information.
So far i'm quite happy with it.
Plus they have EXCELLENT support team that answers all your questions very quickly.
    I highly recommend Beddit!

Beddit 3 is the way to go! Awesome customer support too!

My new Beddit 3 works great. Easy to setup, accurate tracking, portable, good app. I love it! I did have some product quality issues with the earlier version, Beddit 2 which worked great until it broke twice. The Beddit folks replaced it twice with great accountability and care. Being a customer service professional myself I was really impressed with the way the company handled customer issues. Joonas P. the CTO of Beddit reached out to me personally and Sara E. handled all my issues very professionally. Very well-organized and proactive service and support. In summary, Beddit 3 is the way to go, and you can trust this company!

The best sleep tracker just got better

I have owned both Beddit 1 and Beddit 2 and I have to admit that Beddit 3 is ready for the masses. With the rubber "rivets" holding the device in place securely night after night and environment sensors added to version 3 it is a must have for anyone who wants to know what the difference of sleeping quality have to say in high resolution numbers with easy to understand graphs and pedagogical in-app tips of how to improve your sleep.

    I highly recommend Beddit 3!

Beddit is an awesome sleep tracker

I have used the Beddit tracker all the way from the original through to the latest incarnation. Though the earlier versions had a thinner strip it was fiddly to re-apply tape if moved and the 'electronics' generally had to sit on the bed with the strip to ensure it worked reliably. The new version has a thicker strip and it's actually more comfortable, not had any problems with it and it's records sleep and breathing/etc very well along with the app which give insights into how you slept.

    Simply the best out there

I have tried many different sleep devices and found the Beddit to be the most accurate and simply believable. I've recently upgraded from a Beddit 2 to a Beddit 3 device for some of the extra benefits - the main one for me is portability. Since using my Beddit 2 (smart) device) it has definitely motivated me to be healthier. I loved the fact that it can measure (estimate) of the time you are snoring. Loosing some weight for me simply cured it. I love the fact that it measures both respiration and HR simultaneously. I believe the deep and light sleep graphs more than other devices because I think they might be using something like Heart rate variability (HVR) and respiratory rate variability. You can actually extract HVR from their companion website by downloading the data from a spreadsheet. If you really care about your sleep data (and you're a data nerd like me) then look no further. I'm hoping they would make HVR more easily accessible and displayable in a future app update. I also love that this device gets regular software updates and I can see some further improvement in that regards.

Quite nice improvements from Beddit 2 to Beddit 3

I use Beddit almost 2 years now. Version 2 was already quite accurate with recording of the sleep data and the representation in the app was easy to read and interpret. At that time the original sensor was covering only 3/4rd of the mattress and also have to be "duct-taped" onto the mattress. Biggest negative point at that time was the bluetooth sender at the end of the sensor, directly at the edge of the bed. Every morning you found it right under your leg or knee when getting up and swing your legs out of bed. But aside that, the product was working flawless.
Beddit 3 has become so much better now. You now just lay the new designed sensor onto the mattress - no taping any more. Also it covers the whole width of the mattress now. The biggest Plus of the new design: The bluetooth sender is now at the end of the cable where the power plug is, so it does not land anymore under your leg/knee when getting up. Besides the hardware Beddit is continuously improving the software. The parameters becoming better and more and more accurate with each version. Also improving is the GUI, to make the sleep data easier to read and analyze. There are now even history statistics, so you can quickly see your sleep improvements.
    Thank you Beddit

Perfect for monitoring your sleep habits.

The Beddit 3 sleep tracker is really great. It was simple to set up, jut put it on your mattress at chest height and plug it in, connect with your Beddit app and off you go. The detail of information is very good, but it is also easy to check things at a glance. It shows you your different levels of sleep, your heart rate, breathing rate, temperature and humidity of the room. And it can detect snoring with the app. The automatic sleep detection is very useful, you don't have to remember anything when you go to bed. Just hop in and fall to sleep.
