    Great Promise, Horrific Delivery

    The device was a pain to set up as it has a very weak Wifi chip that has a hard time connecting to you Wifi. Additionally when the sensor is set up their is a very noticeable delay between motion happening the device recognizing it and then it send the signal to automations. The amount of time need for the motion detector to activate a automation is completely too long, even more over the motion sensor can either be super sensitive or really hard to activate and the user has no control over the sensitivity.

    Not accurate.

    Got the device yesterday. Got it set up to test how it would work to monitor the temperature and the rest in my remote home. As of now I have the device in the same room with my iPhone. Yesterday my phone app showed the temperature on the thermostat with 0.5F accuracy. It detected the sound and movement. I got hopeful and wanted to get one for each area I need.
    Today the the phone app reports me it’s 71.1F while it’s 77F on the monitor display and in my wall thermometer. The app is also not detecting movement and sounds, as I’m not in the room, while I’m in front of the monitor. What’s the point of having it in that case??

    Ok, but not great

    I've had this for a couple of months now. No battery power, requires a USB powered cable which makes placement of it fairly restricted. The Apple Home app displays the information ( except for the sound sensor ) for the device sensors, but it's only capable of triggering scenes based on the motion detector. As well, unlike the philipps hue sensors, there's no ability to control the sensitivity of the motion sensor. The iHome app can use all 5 sensors, but it has limited ability to affect other smartphone devices.

    I've also had issues with the unit loosing connection to the network which can only be fixed by rebooting the device. When it does that, the sensors can't communicate with any of my other homekit devices. The whole promise of this 5:1 sensor was to be able to use it for security triggers but when you can't rely on whether or not it's going to work.

    LCD screen is bright and can be read across the room. Not a bad choice if all you want it for is to read the sensors.

    Terrible HomeKit integration

    The purpose of this sensor is obviously to drive customers to use iHome smart outlets. It's the only way you can use anything but the motion sensor to trigger an automation. iHome has apparently made all but the motion sensor invisible to the Home app for creating automations - in spite of the fact that Home.app DOES see all the sensors in real time.

    I bought this sensor for the express purpose of turning on a fan (which is plugged into a non-iHome smart outlet) when a certain high temperature is reached. That's not possible unless I'm willing to buy an iHome outlet. After this experience, this is the last iHome product I'll buy unless I see a reliable report that they've changed their ways and opened up their devices to full HomeKit compatibility.

    Ironically, I WAS able to accomplish what I wanted in the end, by using the app supplied by the manufacturer of the smart outlet I have (Koogeek). Though it's a bit of a kludge, it proves that it's possible, making iHome's deliberate crippling of the HomeKit implementation all the more ridiculous and frustrating.

    Pros: WiFi (instead of Bluetooth) connectivity
    Cons: Pretty much everything else. Terrible app from iHome. Deliberately lousy HomeKit integration.

    Would not recommend.

    Does what it's meant to do.

    My two just has a firmware update recently. You know I am happy with it. They display temperature accurately. The motion sensor can send notifications. I do wish I could adjust the sensitivity but to give Siri 5 sensors eh still pretty awesome. I like that there is a dimmer button on back.

    Works very well

    I bought this product about a month ago and it works very well. Does everything it says and you can read your home temp, humidity etc on your phone.Works well with the ihome app or EVE app. Eve app works really good and it's free to use. Not disappointed with this purchase.

    Such cool tech backed by science and research

    Really impressed with this product. The parent company is doing heavy research with Stanford School of Medicine, Boston Children's Hospital, John Hopkins which for me builds a lot of credibility for the team.

    Great device with HomeKit integration

    The device was very easy to setup. The iHome app is very simple and the 'quick start' guide was spot on. The device doesn't plug into the wall socket, but has a USB lead from a mains adapter. The display is clear and the HomeKit integration is very well thought out. There was a previous comment about sensitivity; the 'Threshold' can in fact be varied for Light, Sound and Motion in the iHome App. Wifi signal is very strong.

    I will buy another based on my initial findings, for the garage.
