Cheap But Unreliable & Annoying. Avoid.

    • Written by Stephen B from Austin

First, you will be forced yo cover or hide the RIDICULOUSLY designed flashing blue light that unexplainably flashes CONSTANTLY when the unit is connected to WiFi (It should flash a pattern to indicate successful connection, then turn off till an error is detected. Instead it flashes day and night, very brightly too).

Secondly, this piece of junk will force you to reconnect it or factory reset it every month or so. Suddenly gives a "Not Responding" indication in HomeKit, and appears "off" in the woeful CommandKit app from the manufacturer. Sometimes powering off and on resets it, sometimes I have to re-add it by scanning the code. Today none of those worked so it is no non-functional.

Do NOT waste your money on this.

    Another cool Incipio product

    • Written by Jason B from New Albany

I have 4 of these. They are great for lamps. I use two for my two bed room lamps. Then the other two for various other lamps I have scattered. Just make sure to firmware update them via the convenient CommandKit app. I am patiently awaiting their power strip that is coming soon. I have no complaints.

    Worst HomeKit device

    • Written by Young Soo K from San Diego

Among multiple HomeKit devices including Philips Hue, Elgato Eve and D-Link camera, this one is absolutely the worst. When connected to Wifi, there is a blue light flashing and you cannot turn it off. The company did not even consider that when the light is off, this disturbing blue light can be annoying. And the customer service is very slow at answering. I bought four of this and dumping them because I don't want to have a seizure at night because of the flashing blue light.
