    cannot complete set up

    I am really really disappointed with this thermostat. It's really pretty, and I was excited to buy it, especially because I am all Apple and it is meant to be a good combo. However, I cannot get it to communicate properly with my iPhone - in fact, I have been unable to get it to complete the registration. The Honeywell support agents have been very patient, but unable to to troubleshoot the problem after literally 5 hours on the phone over two days. I purchased and installed a second one, hoping the first was just a lemon, but the stall happens at exactly the same place. The connection with this device is unstable. I cannot recommend.

    Horrible with apple.

    Love it on android and then upgraded phones because never had an Iphone. Worst mistake ever. Limited of everything. Support,apps, user ability I can't wait to get rid of this D*MM phone.

    Lyric App does not work, unknowledgeable support people

    The app that controls and sets up this device has not been working since Saturday, December 30, 2017. On installing, it will load the splash screen, briefly show a login page, and then crash back to the iOS home screen. Calling support for Honeywell does nothing - a person will tell you "Oh, this happens occasionally, and we have to escalate to engineering and the programmers."

    Tested the crash across multiple devices and multiple iOS builds to the same results.

    The app combined with the undocumented bug of the buttons suddenly not working when placed within 10 feet of a WiFi base station leads me to not be able to recommend this device. In that case, Honeywell support said the buttons were not working because the HVAC unit was producing 27.5V instead of 25V.... Absolutely incorrect. We had to debug the problem ourselves only to discover the thermostat is unshielded and picks up interference from any source of radio frequency.

    Truly the best home thermostat

    I researched Smart Thermostats extensively and have several friends who have models from other brands. I can tell you definitively, that this product works flawlessly, is beautiful, and the app works exactly as it should, even with geo-fenced auto heat/cold (my experience with other products has been that these sort of features never work). Even during set up, we had some questions due to the unique nature of my HVAC system, we called Honeywell, they answered immediately, and to my complete surprise actually were able to walk us through exactly how to diagnose and resolve the question we had (not tech related, but rather operational related to the HVAC system). I cannot recommend this product strongly enough. It is phenomenal.
