    Keys not working

    • Written by Bridget P from Lomita

Was working great, but now the A,C,F and Space keys aren’t working. Saw in another review that those exact keys weren’t working for someone else so it’s clearly a device problem.

Keys do not work. Believe the other reviews. Don’t buy this. Keys do not work. Now I made the mistake of unpairing it and obviously I can’t even pair it anymore

Nothing but problems with this keyboard.

    • Written by Ricki Kelly M from Calgary

I use my iPad and keyboard for work every day. I purchased my keyboard about 2.5 months ago, and have had nothing but issues since shortly after purchasing the keyboard. My boss who purchased the same keyboard is having the exact same issues. It starts by certain keys not working, the A,C,F, Space bar and sometimes other random keys, and then the keyboard just doesn’t connect. Having to waste over 30 minutes trying to reconnect is truly frustrating.

I did give this a 1 because it’s one redeeming quality is the style of keys. I did love using this keyboard while it worked, but when it continuously doesn’t work as it should, it is not worth it. We will be buying a new, different product.

Two of these have crapped out. Do not buy.

    • Written by keith R from cochrane

Bought one. After maybe 20 uses 4 or 5 of the keys stopped working entirely. Took it back got another of the same model - silly me. Now 4-5 of the keys are not working again after another 20 or so uses. It is garbage. Believe the other reviews.

Letters and Spaces Skip While Typing

    • Written by Jeffrey J from Purchase

I used this for about a week, and it worked fine. I keep it charged all of the time. However, over the past week, it skips letters, and spaces. It is very frustrating and I have discontinued using the keyboard.

    Really, really .. really disappointing.

    • Written by Marc L from Vancouver

Wow, what a disappointment. The edges are really pronounced and awkward. I’m not sure why they are so high and what purposes they serve, but, they add unnecessary bulk. The keyboard does not shut flush, and, has an awful tendency to move around stressing the smart connection.
I know others have mentioned it, but, the magnets are horrible. Even on sale, this was a horrible asteroid of money.

    The worst from Logitech

    • Written by Shandhi W from Irving

Looks cool. Light and easy. No doubt.
However, for usage is absolutely nightmare.
You cannot use in on your lap. the keyboard base become unbalanced and flimsy.
The back stand is uncomfortable and makes the ipad falls.
I have the 12,9’, imagine with 10” ipad.

The folded part of the keyboard keeps getting dirty and no use at all.

I still like the previous model.

Was great for the first couple of days

    • Written by Yohan L from Ickenham

Bought this product in the Apple store and tried it out - seemed to work really well and exactly what I was looking for. Really not sure what happened but it seems to have just stopped working. Tried everything I can think of - cleaned the ports restarted the iPad. Charged it fully overnight etc, but no joy. It clicks in nice and neatly but nothing happens thereafter. So disappointed - any ideas would be welcome !

I have had this case for more than 1 year and it is wonderful!

    • Written by Stephen C G from Miami Beach

I travel the world with case and it has been exceptional. I have nothing negative to say and can't understand the negative reviews as I use mine everyday, both with and without the keyboard. I have never had any issues with the iPad playing music when stored, or draining the battery. I honestly have no idea what these people are talking about?

Pros: Excellent protective case that lock the iPad Pro in place. Great location for Apple Pencil (version 1). Backlit keyboard is excellent and I would not get a keyboard without it. Function keys on keyboard are excellent. Ability to adjust viewing angle to the widest range I have ever seen.

    Cons: None

    Not for long-term use!!

    • Written by Kaitlin M from North Little Rock

Overall, I really enjoyed this keyboard as a student. HOWEVER, after a little more than a year(13 months), it has begun to stop working. It’s developed A TON of connection problems because the ribbon that connects the keyboard to the magnetic feature on my iPad has been worn out. For $130, I expected this to last a lot longer and not to need another one for a few years. Logitech dropped the ball by making this have a thin connecting feature between the iPad and keyboard. NOT SMART. Now I’ve had to by the Apple keyboard($160) to get me through the rest of school. Not pleased at all.

One small mistake ruined it all !

    • Written by Michael K from Pakenham

The case itself is made of a good material. The keyboard and the feel of the buttons with the back lights are really more than excellent.
One small detail they forgot to pay attention to was the magnet connection between the keyboard and the case. It is extremely week to the point that they detach while just folding them. Get detach with every small movement, made the whole experience of using the iPad to be painful to me.

The concept is good but the execution is horrible. There should be a lock to ensure that it will stay attached when needed. The magnet that joins the ipad to the keyboard is very weak. One can easily knock the ipad off of the keyboard and there risking it to drop/break. You can forget about using it on your lap...falls down. The smart connect is excellent, the fitting is very good, but I cannot live with such a poor design to hold the ipad and keyboard together. I wish that Logitech would have the "Create" model available using the smart connector. Now that would be a great combo.

I’m a big fan of Logitech normally. But the ‘Slim Combo’ wasn’t right for me. The Keyboard is great, up to Logitech’s normal standards. But the whole ‘combo’ as a case to carry the iPad around in is poor. It is heavier than expected and feels cumbersome. When you want to open it and lift up the keyboard to use it, it’s not intuitively obvious which way round everything is. Worst of all, although the keyboard is hinged to the smart connector, it does not clip onto the base. Instead, it slides around, and comes off completely and all too easily, usually when you don’t want it too. It’s a shame, but this one needs more thought. I took it back within 24 hours for a refund.

    Exactly as Advertised

    • Written by Daisy B from Warwick

I ordered this cas so i could turn my iPad into a portable, lightweight and easy to use laptop that twinned as a tablet. I can use it in the studios I work in and it protects my iPad and iPencil when I’m not using them. Typing on the keyboard is just like using the MacBooks in feel and mildly in looks. I feel the product is sturdy and is just what I was looking for - I would definitely recommend it. Delivery was amazing and swift the day after I bought it and customer service were incredibly helpful.

How to turn your IPad into a MacBook

    • Written by Jose N from Martorell

I was looking forward to the "Slim" Logitech keyboard. This would be a nice way of having the best of both words (an IPad that almost works like a laptop), and travel light... It would, if Logitech understood the meaning of the word "Slim".
The whole thing is well built, no doubt, and Logitech is a great brand for keyboards and mouse, but they got this design wrong. Once fitted, your IPad, all slim, elegant, and light is turned into a bulky, fat, and ugly thing. I much rather keep carrying my MacBook 11", if that is the best Logitech can do.
Sorry, but either try harder, or drop the word "Slim". This is not a slim combo, period.

    Great, but not perfect

    • Written by Jonathan M from Champlin

I didn’t know what the smart connect was when I bought my iPad Pro 10.5. I knew I wanted a keyboard and I spent a lot of time looking for 3rd party options. There were a few I found that I liked. The Valkit Bluetooth keyboard was probably the best one I found out there. But, this Logitech was immediately a standout. I wasn’t even turned off by the price. Here’s what makes it superb (Keep in mind that the combination of these features make it what it is).
    1. Smart Connect (no charging, it connects via magnet and works right away. No charging is a big plus. This one edges out the apple keyboard because it adds some protection and costs less.
    2. The case allows for an adjustable screen angle with an impressive range. It even has a portrait position if you’re into that sort of thing.
    3. Almost full size keys. Other keyboards have small keys.
    4. Backlit keyboard (maybe seems frivolous, but it’s totally important once you know it exists. It’s also “spillproof’, but I didn’t test that. Proceed with skepticism. Better yet, don’t spill on your keyboard!
    5. There’s a bar above the numbers for quick commands similar to what you’d see on your MacBook. The Valkit uses a Function button to activate.
    6. The case has a firm hold on the iPad so it doesn’t slip, but even better, it interacts with the screen in a way that allows you to have a screen protector on it.

    Here’s what disappointed me
    1. When set up, it’s not incredibly sturdy. If you pick up the iPad, the keyboard is going to fall off. I didn’t think that would be important until it happened. I was more bummed than I would have expected. Also affects using it while on your lap.
    2. It’s kind of bulky. I don’t have concerns about it keeping my iPad safe, but it’s not as slick/slender as I was hoping for when bundled up.

    Awful case DO NOT BUY

    • Written by Bret S from Potomac

This case is absolutely awful. Great Idea, terrible execution. The Ipad wont stay connected while it is set in place and only connects when I hold the Ipad up to the keyboard. Save yourself some money and go with any other case available. Very disappointed.

Keyboard and buttons the highlight - other wise could do better...

    • Written by Peter L from Carlton

When it works, the keyboard is arguably the best iPad keyboard ever - the keys are well placed, nicely crafted and have just the right amount of travel and feel. However, this is all spoiled by a dodgy connection. The keyboard communicates with the iPad via the smart connector and is held in place by magnets. Unfortunately, the connector becomes misaligned very easily and then the connection is lost. I use the iPad for making notes on the go and will often move from typing on a desk to typing on my lap and just transferring from one position to another is enough to shift the connector to the point where connection is lost. Most frustrating, but it's not all Logitech's fault - Apple obviously decided a more secure docking point (like the Surface Pro for example) would upset the smooth lines of iPad, but it's those smooth lines that allow the connector to slide around.

Other than the smart connector issue, while it adds considerably to the bulk of the iPad, the build quality of this case is excellent - it's solid and scratch-resistant. Also, the power button is perfectly positioned - it's even easier to find and click than when the iPad is naked.

Haven't had a problem with the kick stand - it just works without complaint.

While Logitech Slim Combo is not intended to turn the iPad into a 'me-too' laptop (like many other keyboard cases), I am not keen on the the way the designer relies completely on the magnetic smart connector to keep the two parts of the case together. I got used to it (having to unfold it carefully so as not to pull it apart) but i don't feel I should be adapting my usage of the product just to align with the designer's lack of vision?

In all, I'll keep the case for now but I am keeping a close eye on Zagg in the hope they will adapt their slim-book concept to the iPad Pro 10.5.

    Love it!

    • Written by Judy K from Mawson

This is a beautiful keyboard to type on and I've been a keyboard operator for many years on one machine or another. It sits on my lap well & I even like the area to rest the wrist whilst typing it's so comfortable.. It is a little heavier than the last Logitech keyboard I had due to the stand but it's not a drama.
I really like the backlighting plus being able to charge the keyboard through the connection between that & the screen without a cable.
