    Won't work internationally

    • Written by Corwin L from Portland

The specs fail to mention that this only operates with 110V AC, not a more universal 100-240V AC. This means it cannot be used overseas, where the voltage is more commonly 220V. I would have not purchased this if I had known.

Not a bridge, not a hub, not a real MBP charger

    • Written by Christopher M from Chevy Chase

This only acts as a trickle charger for MacBooks. The physical Apple stores sell this as an alternative to the standard wall charger, however it is ONLY effective as a trickle charger... WHEN THE MacBook is not in use. You cannot run & charge your MacBook with this device.

1 star because as many others have pointed out: it is not a hub. It is not a bridge. It is also not a real charger.

Per their website, but not on the physical packaging: "It does have a MACBOOK CHARGING LIMITATION: USB-C Port will NOT re-charge a Macbook or Macbook Pro when the device is in use. Will allow slow charging of a Macbook or Macbook Pro while asleep and will reduce battery drain while in use." - Native Union

Buyer Beware! The USB-C feature does not work!

    • Written by sarah W from CHARLOTTE

This will not charge your MacBook Pro with touch bar with the USB-C cord. I had purchased one and plugged it into my MacBook Pro with touch bar using my USB-C cord. It continually charged and then would drop the charge. So my MacBook basically chimed that it was charging then chimed that it was disconnected from its power source over and over. To better explain, it chimed on then chimed off, chimed on then chimed off, etc.

I thought I had a faulty charger, and called Apple Customer Care, and they replaced it free of charge, but the replacement Native Hub does the same thing.

I use it for the 2 extra outlet plugs and the USB-A ports, and so far those work fine. I did read on the reviews that the USB-C charging port will charge the MacBook while the MacBook is off or in sleep mode. However, I did try to charge my MacBook when I was not using it and had the laptop closed - it still did not work.

I am disappointed. This is a very attractive charging station for multiple devices. Sadly, the USB-C port is no good. This is frustrating since it is the main reason I purchased this item.

    The Un-Charger

This product can only trickle charge MacBook Pro's through the USB-C port. They should really remove the product photos of them charging MacBooks. I'll be returning these even though I like everything else about them.

    Love it!

    • Written by Danny or Melinda W from Goodlettsville

I love that I can plug "everything" into this at once... and they all charge at the same time. I charge my MacBook Pro and my MacBook Air and an ipad or 2 and sometimes my phone. And it's nice looking on top of being very functional!

    Not supported

    • Written by Mark M from Warrenton

The Native Union charges my wife’s Samsung products and powers my lamps but when I plug it to my iPad it says “not supported”. How does that help?

Be aware of what you are buying

Not sure why anyone would buy a "charger" that doesn't charge when you are using your laptop.

    enough said.

    Looks nice but doesn't charge

    • Written by Jean-Francois H from Verdun

This charging blocks looks great and seems like it would allow you to travel with fewer cables and charging blocks but you would be wrong. I bought this as a home/travel charger for my MacBook and you can't imagine my disappointment when I plugged in my MacBook and clicked on the battery icon to see "Battery is not charging Power source: Power Adaptor". It looks good but doesn't put out enough power to charge a MacBook while in use, very disappointed and a waste of money.

Lovely device: But It's Neither a Hub nor a Bridge

    • Written by Drew W from Englewood Cliffs

If you are looking for a device to supply power to your devices, look no further. HOWEVER, If you are looking for an actual hub or a bridge--as in the name of the product-- you will not find it here. Bridges and hubs pass data from port to port. For Native Union, the term "bridge' means "Bridging power" according to their chat representative Ritchie. So, depending on what you expect from the firm's marketing, you will either receive a delightful product of exceptional build quality or a deceptive product that in no way lives up its title and wastes your time. I have rated it one star since I am clearly in the latter camp.

    Carry fewer power adapters

    • Written by David H from Falls Church

I originally bought this to travel with but have decided to keep it at home because it looks so nice (love the braided cord with the 90 degree connection to the wall). Everything about the product screams quality, from the materials to the packaging. I'm using it with various iOS devices and a 15" MacBook Pro. I plug the MacBook Pro power adapter into one of the side outlets and charge my iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch via the USB connections. The charger does not produce enough power to charge the battery of the MacBook Pro via the USB-C connector but even with the original MacBook Pro power adapter plugged into the side it is much cleaner than the power strip I was using with all the individual power adapters coming out of it.

    Convenient for home and travel

    • Written by Steven V from Naples

I have a MacBook Pro, MacBook, Apple Watch, and iPhone 8. I travel with the MacBook, watch, and iPhone. With just this Charger and correct cables I am able to eliminate all of the unique charging bricks for each device. I am planning to buy another just for home use to help clean up power cables and wire clutter.
