No magnets. Not great for two-handed typing.

    • Written by DAVID P from MINNEAPOLIS

First, there are no magnets to auto sleep/wake the iPad. In a product costing almost $100, I was shocked at this omission.

Second, there is no configuration in which the cover is both open and held securely against the back of the iPad. I hold my iPad in two hands, portrait mode, and type with my thumbs, and when attempting to do that with the Moleskine cover, it flops around on the hinge at the back of the cover. Haven’t dropped the iPad yet, but I may return it before I do.

    Gorgeous but fragile

    • Written by STEPHEN W from Rensselaer

This is a lovely folio, smooth to the touch, with a very well-placed pencil holder. But the material actually holding the iPad is just too fragile and cracks when you drop it, and then it doesn’t hold the iPad securely. And I am rather torn over risking buying a replacement or buying a sturdier but less pleasing case.
