    DO NOT BUY!!!!

    • Written by Eric I from The Woodlands

Look, the reviews on here already are not great and there is a reason for it. If you are looking for extra battery boost, maybe this helps a bit. If you are looking for protection for your phone, THIS IS NOT IT. And of course Mophie covers their rear by claiming it has superior fall protection, which it doesn't, but of course they also state no two falls are alike, so naturally, they don't actually do anything but throw around a bunch of bogus claims. $800 phone needing a $300 screen replacement because the $100 case I bought doesn't do it's job??? Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY this piece of junk.

It’s ok. I switched to Apple’s Smart Battery case

    • Written by Christopher C from Hendersonville

I have used both the Apple Smart Battery case and the Mophie Battery case. If wireless charging is most important for you, go with the Mophie case. If being able to plug-in Apple accessories is more important, go with they Apple’s Smart Battery case.

The Mophie case is available with wireless charging. It is equipped with a Micro USB port on the base that will pass through data. The draw backs are that the battery charge status is displayed with just 4 LED lights on the back. The power to the iPhone has to be manually turned on and off with a button on the back. They have a hard plastic shell that can be just as slippery as the iPhone’s shell, and is easy to fumble and drop.

The Apple Smart Battery case will automatically turn on and off as need. There is a Lightning Port on the base that is compatible with other Apple accessories. The other shell is silicone with a good, sure grip. When charging without a phone attached, an LED will display an orange color while charging, and switches to green when the battery is 100%. But, you will have to connect an iPhone to see the remaining battery charge. The MAJOR drawback is the lack of built in wireless charging. The apple cases will block the iPhone’s own wireless charger when a case is attached.

    Really pretty good

    • Written by Edward B from Kew gardens

The Mophie does what it is advertised as doing. It significantly increases your iPhone's run time. The case is reasonably durable. After several months of use, it is no worse for the wear. The wirelesss charging works very nicely with every Qi charger I have encountered. My two gripes are that you must use wireless headphones with the Mophie as the micro usb port is for charging only. That's annoying especially when travelling as wireless headphone battery life is nothing to write home about in my experience. Additionally, the case only provides light/medium grade protection for your phone. It's good enough for every day use but if you need Otterbox style protection, this won't do it.
