    not sticking

    • Written by Mike L from Wentzville

I had the apple store install this the day I received my new IPhone. the next day the glass was not sticking on the edges, I ended up ripping this off.
I went back to the apple store the next day and had another one installed. better but not sticking at the very top. the employee agreed with me that these maybe cut too long and are running into the curve of the phone. I was advised to wait a month or so to see if Belkin addresses this issue.
has anyone else experience this issue?

    Sadly disappointed

    • Written by Ashley H from Shoreham by Sea

Having purchaed a brand new iPhone X S Max recently, I thought it would be a good idea to also invest in some high end protection for the handset as it’s worth somewhere in the region of £1300 in value. As usual, I bought another apple own brand silicone case as I find these have the best fit, as well as mostly all round protection and a reasonably slim feel compared with most other brands. However, upon buying myself a screen protector (many of which I have had various types and levels of quality) i enquired in the apple store, Brighton, as to which would be most durable and most tactile. I am now 3 days into owning this new phone, and it’s freshly bought forcefields, and yet a simple 18-24 inch drop onto laminate flooring has all but destroyed a £29.99 glass protector requiring me to purchase another one, albeit a completely different brand, in the hope I can find some adequate protection, or at the least a real guarantee on such a “high end” screen protector. Hugely disappointed, especially as this one (3 times the price) feels just as cheap and weak as most of its £5-£10’counterparts’ bought from Amazon. I would one hundred percent discourage anyone from purchasing this particular screen protector as I feel it is totally over-valued and of exceptionally poor quality given the price. I genuinely hope no one else falls victim to faulty, overpriced protection for their extremely expensive and fragile handset. Hope this review is helpful as I very rarely bother to write them, but occasionally I get severely miffed about being exploited like this. It’s 29.99 for crying out loud! At least give me a guarantee of some kind!

    Overpriced for what it is

    • Written by Justin L from san diego

The installation is easy - comes with a tray to place your iPhone XS Max into and fairly easy to line up the film with the arrow on the bottom. Few gripes - wish there were more than one 'alignment point' - it's at the very bottom so if you don't line it up perfectly, you won't know until you get to the bottom and have to unstick the film which can cause bubbles. Also, at this price, alcohol wipes should be included. Only a cloth and dust removal sticker is included and this is the first 'high-end' price screen protector kit that I've purchased that does not include alcohol wipes. All in all, not bad but definitely overpriced.

If Yours Will Stick These Are Great.

    • Written by Rod B from Tampa

To be honest, I rarely have great success with screen protectors and this is no exception. I do like these Belkin protectors, especially if the Apple Store applies them with the Belkin Magic Screen Installation Machine. But I'm already on my 2nd protector. The first one had a defect. The second one installed well, but after just a few days, the bottom left corner was not adhering and when a screen protector doesn't adhere, it looks cloudy. Let's be honest, for $40, these should adhere without issue. Especially if Apple is installing it.

I went back to the Apple Store to have this one replaced and they were out of them. They took my number and email and promised to reach out to me when they're back in stock. Whether they will or not is yet to be proven.

But, I went out and did some reading on some blogs on common solutions for screen protectors that don't adhere at the edge and one trick seems to have worked. The article suggested I take a towel and very lightly dampen it (VERY LIGHTLY DAMP) and use the lightly dampened towel to push it back down. I figured I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a try. Low and behold it worked. You have to use some real force to get the air out and for the protector to lay flat and adhere. It's now been 2 days and the bottom left corner has not come back up.

I'll keep an eye on it and if it doesn't last long term, I'll get yet a 3rd one installed at my Apple Store, but you might want to try this and see if it helps you.

Very bad, does not work on multiple levels

    • Written by Mark R from Southampton

Do not use this. The actual items is smaller than the screen so you do not get full protection. Also the "Easy Align" system did not work. As I gently peeled back the first film the protector separated from the easy align backing. I have used the Belkin Easy Align system before with success so I am aware how to use it.

The first ever screen protector I've had which fits perfectly. I went into the Apple store and they have a little device which instals the screen protector in a matter of seconds. They did it for me and I can confidently say this is the first time I have been really happy with such an item. Worth every penny.

    Disappointed :/

    • Written by Xavier D from NEW YORK

I've been a big fan of these screen protectors in the past. I used it on my 8 Plus, my X and now my XS Max. On my previous devices, these screen protectors were fantastic. I had it on my X and it was installed at an Apple store and I never saw one bubble and never cracked after having it on for an entire year. There were minor scratches but the protector did it's job. Like other reviews on this page, it seems that this version will not stick around the edges on my XS Max. I had it installed at the Apple store and looked perfect then an hour later I could see bubbles around the edges. I thought I had a defective one so I purchased another one at a different Apple store and same problem. I don't know if they're cut too big or they just don't have enough adhesive on them but same situation happened with the second one that looked perfect after being installed at the Apple store then started seeing bubbles around the edges an hour later. Very disappointing since I've had a great experience with it in the past but I feel like I've been robbed of $80. I hope Belkin takes a look at these reviews and fix the issues because I really like these protectors.

Chipped and cracked after a week!

    • Written by Nicola C from London

I purchased this after it was suggested by the store. I’ve never bought a screen protector before and luckily never cracked a screen in the years of owning iPhones but thought considering the price of the phone, I wouldn’t take any chances. At first I was impressed as it looked great but after very careful treatment and only a week later, I removed it from my bag and there is was - a chipped edge with a couple of cracks. Can only think it’s rubbed up against my keys but seriously at £30 with apple promoting it, I expected more. My daughter buys this kind of product from Amazon at a fraction of the price and guess what? No problems! Guess I won’t be shopping in Apple for this kind of product again- really disappointed!

Screen smashed first time it dropped

    • Written by Linda O from Chattanooga

Purchased less than a month ago and purchased and applied in apple store. Thought it was terribly overpriced at time. Now that it splintered and cracked the first time I dropped it I am positive.

    Very disappointed

    • Written by Sam W from Tiverton

Chipped and cranked in the first month of purchase without a noticeable drop or impact, not impressed at all! Can't believe Apple promote this product.

The Exeter Apple Store wouldn't help me with a formal complaint about this product they sold me, told me to get in touch with Belkin myself as they can't do anything about third-party equipment. I believe this is poor customer service from the Apple Store on a product they endorse.

I’m not sure what is going on with the negative reviews for this product because this screen protector is amazing! I had it installed by Apple for my iPhone 8 Plus and now on my iPhone XS Max. The installation was perfectly done both times with the ease and an elegance in service that Apple is known for worldwide. I had the protector on the 8 Plus for a year it did not have a scratch on it. Not one.

This is the best screen protector for the iPhone - FULL STOP. Buy it and let apple install it for you. You will love it and you can rest assured that your beautiful iPhone screen is protected.

    Problems with this product

    • Written by Kathy H from San Diego

I bought the new Apple X/S Max and had the Belkin glass screen protector put on immediately. There was a bubble at the bottom where the glass was not sticking. Also cracked within five weeks. Don't know if the bubble at the bottom had anything to do with the stability but found out that Belkin will not warranty a cracked glass screen protector- only a scratched one. For $40 I would have expected better adhesion, protection, and warranty.

    Total waste of money

    • Written by Dan W from Bath

Right so I very rarely do reviews. I’ve recently purchased a brand new XS Max and thought spending £30 on a decent screen protector would be worth it. Boy was I wrong. I am very careful with my phone even in a case and with a protector on so you can imagine my surprise when I pulled my phone out my pocket to see a massive mark across half my screen. It looks like a crack across the screen. These are supposed to be hardy protectors. All I can say is I’m not impressed at all and I’m going to have to remove it it’s so bad. I would think twice before you buy one of these.

Terrible - cracked in less than a week without being dropped

    • Written by Holly S from Saugerties

I had this screen protector installed at the Apple Store, and less than a week later, it is cracked on the bottom corner with a hairline crack going up the screen. I never dropped the phone, not once. These screens are not sturdy at all.

    Easy home install

    • Written by Clay F from Harrisburg

The screen protector was easy to install at home with the included alignment tray. I have had no issues with the edges coming loose. I applied it before turning on my phone for the first time. Applying to a cool screen may have helped. The screen protector looks great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Scratches easy and will not adhere on top edge.

    • Written by Jon S from Albuquerque

If not for the scratch It got after 3 days of owning it, and the top not adhering after a week now, this protector would be perfect. It doesn’t interfere with the screen or keyboard function at all, and it really is clear and easy to “see through.” For costing 3-4 times the protectors I’ve used in the past, I expected this to be absolutely perfect and better than those, not worse.
