    No data over Lightning

    • Written by John M from London

Seems to work well with ethernet but the lightening port provded doesn’t seem to provided data to the iOS device. Worthless to me but if you only need ethernet or ethernet + power then this will do the job.

    It Works, but...

    • Written by Kirc B from Houston

I purchased this a couple days ago, anxious to try and see if the connection speed would be better than WiFi (540 Mb/s). On Wired connection, for my normally Ethernet-connected devices, I get ~940 Mb/s or better.

I tried several destinations with the adapter, including ones I verified were getting near Gigabit speeds. The adapter never rose above 28 Mb/s on any download test. I called Belkin and confirmed that the device maximum was only 480 Mb/s which is a far cry from what I was getting and just as far from what I was expecting.

Now, if you want a connector that provides power and Ethernet, this WILL do the basic task, but if you need the high-speed ethernet for gaming/streaming/heavy-duty internet work, I would stick with WiFi at this point…

Not worth paying $100 for, I am sorry to say. at $29, it would be splendid, so I only give it 2 stars and I am returning it today for a refund...
