    Stunning

After a bad experience with Apple's new wireless keyboard (which Apple have since modified through an update), I'm pleased to be using it's wired cousin. The keyboard has minimal footprint, but is very easy to type on as it's extremely heavy. It also sports two USB connectors which are ideal for a wired mouse and USB memory card and/or digital camera.

I only have two quibbles with this keyboard. Firstly it's angled at about 10 degrees towards the user. There is no option to flatten this or angle it away from the user (which I'm told is better).

The second point might seem irrelevant. However this keyboard is as much about aesthetics, as it is about practicality. The belly of the keyboard and the connecting wire are both white. Apple have not followed their black and aluminum style completely, and the keyboard looks slightly like an odd match. Almost like a 3rd party product that's designed to look like the Mac range. I'm surprised that Apple didn't go for a chrome braid wire or use black for the plastic belly of the keyboard.

There's also no backlit keyboard option although I would not expect this at the price of this keyboard. Overall, a beautiful piece of industrial design that makes everyone feel good.

    Awesome!!

I just bought this when I upgraded to Leopard. The price is great for $49 and I love the additional usb ports on the side of the keyboard. My sister bought one last month and I loved the way the keys are spaced a little wider than the unit that came with my iMac. For someone with thick fingers this works great! It types very smooth and flows a lot better. I highly recommend it, especially if you own a Mac!

    Surprisingly great ergonomics and response

This keyboard is great for my MBP.
While I love being able to travel around with my laptop, at work it's nice to have a "real" keyboard, complete with a numbers pad (I do a lot of data entry). I was skeptical that a keyboard so thin would have good responsiveness in the keys, but this works great. Even better, it fits nicely into my large computer bag. It's hard to realize just how thin it is from the online photos, but in person it is remarkable.

    wonderful!

If you're looking to get a different feel to your typing experience - try this. I went to an Apple store to try it out and thought, yeah, this is good. Now at home I think it's much better than good; it's excellent. Seems to me the engineers behind this did their research: what is needed in a keyboard? What might a different typing experience be like? It's smooth, fast, springy, tight, elegant, slim, and feels surprisingly strong for such a thin tool. Leaves my old G4 keyboard with the large keys and deep touch in the dust. Just enough give in the keys to make it a hit, and nothing more. Less fatigue and fewer mistakes. Well done, Apple.

    Best Keyboard Ever

Far and away the best keyboard I have ever used. Sleek, stylish, and the best part: it's a pleasure to type on. I wish every keyboard in the world could be like this one.

    Amazing Compatability

I run the Linux distribution openSUSE, but have always loved the Apple style and operating system. My old keyboard needed replacement, so I decided to go all out and buy this keyboard, and don't regret it for an instant. I plugged it right into Linux, and it just worked! Beautiful keyboard all around!

    Less Typos!

Just "upgraded" from G5 Quad to 24" iMac 2.8Ghz with this NEW KEYBOARD. It is better, quite, much easier to type on since it lies flat, and looks better than the older white plastic model too. I am making MUCH less typos! I will be buying a second one for our MacBookPro and selling the old Apple pro Keyboard.

    A good product

I am a new mac user but still i have used the old keyboard, this one to say is very sleek and small, takes less desk space is every thin looks nice. The for ppl who think their caps lock is broken or not functioning properly, u are wrong, its not tht, the cap lock has a function that it doesnt switch on with an accidental press, it used to be so annoying on my pc keyboard and never would have thought someone will every fix this problem with such a simple solution, if u wanna use caps lock just press it for a milli sec more than usual thats it. over all this product is close to perfect.

    Nothing short of brilliant!

What's not to like? It's small, comfortable, beautiful, quiet, and much easier to type quickly and correctly. My former white mac keyboard, at home and office, had an annoying sticking or binding feel...possibly due to the angle at which I strike the keys. Not so with this new keyboard. Aesthetically, it pairs perfectly with both of my white/aluminum iMacs and my Mac Pro and looks like it was specifically built for both. Frankly, I don't like using traditional keyboards now. For a product this good and innovative, it is worth $49.

    Love it!

You can't go wrong with this one. Like going from their old keyboard (yugo) to a Porsche, Very comfortable. If you buy, when you get it you will need to go to system preferences then universal access and turn off mouse keys to get the key pad to work.

One more thing, don't forget to get your software for it by doing an apple update!

    Like it

I have a MacBook and the keyboard is very similar to thekeybpard on it. The keys are very easy to type on. The accidental caps lock guard is a nice touch as well. I have the wired one and the usb ports on the side are awesome. Simple. I love it.

    Best Wired Keyboard Ever

I've used lots of keyboards with a variety of computers. This is the easiest to use and most aesthetic keyboard I've had my hands on, except maybe it's wireless cousin. I bought both and have no regrets. In fact they are both extremely pleasing and worth the money.

    great hardware

I have been using macs for well over a decade. I've never owned a better keyboard than this, whether it be apple made or otherwise. This keyboard is built for speed, forget those oldschool type writer-like keyboards that the diehards reminisce about. Once you get used to it, your finger glide over the keys without practically any effort thanks to the slim design

even better than my powerbook g4 keys

    Best Keyboard Ever

    Ive, you did it again!

I was never a fan of the last keyboard. It was clunky and cheap. I disliked it so much that I reverted back to an old keyboard that came with my G4 silver door. But this new keyboard works really well! It's so small, but you don't really notice it. The keys have a great tactile response to them and are more like a notebook keyboard AND it gives you a nice return of desk space. I've never felt compelled to write a review here, but this keyboard is just that good! The one thing I don't understand is why you didn't make the corded version wireless as well.

Apple and Ive -- you rock!
