    disappointing durability

    the construction is super flimsy. My other USB cables that I have had for longer are still in great shape and yet this one is already breaking..

    Cable stopped working

    After some months I was having issues for my iPhone 5 to charge, I knew it was the cable because depending on how you move it, it will work or not. Some day it completely stopped working, after taking the cable apart, voilà! One of the internal cables was cut in half. For the record, I keep the cable in the bedroom and never ever take if from there. The cable had the minimum work load a cable may have and never took it outside the room. 'The chain is as strong as the weakest link.

    Disgraceful quality

    This product deserves 0 stars. The last one I bought was broken right from the box. They last about 3 months even though I try so hard to be gentle with them. They are unusable for my disabled young adult. He is now forbidden to charge his own iPad as his poor motor skills result in a new cable almost immediately. Apple was a leader in accessibility but what good are all those clever adaptations if a person with poor motor skills can't charge their own device. Shame on Apple!!!!!

    Dissapointed very disappointed

    ugghhh the terrible quality of this cord. Considering the fact that i am the only one in my family that has a lightning cord it really isn't fun when you don't have a back up cord. I have only had my iPhone 5s for 4 MONTHS not even and the cord breaks and on top of that i think my iPhone 4 phone charger charged faster than this cord and also had a better battery holding. if you do end up getting a this cord at least get a few because it doesn't last long just saying

    Terrible

    If it was possible to give 0 starts I would.
    I have just had my 7th lightning cable fail!
    I implore apple to address this problem and send a revamped version of the cable to every customer for free.
    If this continues, there is no possible way I will stay with apple and I'm sure countless others will feel the same.
    The iPhone and it's cable (especially) need an overhaul!
    Please buy a cheaper 3rd party alternative elsewhere as this is expensive and just as useless.

    PRODUCE A BETTER CHARGER PLEASE

    1. These are too short. 2. They do not last at all!! All of them stop working after awhile because of the wires inside keep breaking. With how much a stupid cord costs, these should be made to last!

    Expensive junk.

    19 Euro's for a cable that breaks after some months is a joke. I have bought 2 new ones in the meanwhile. Rubbish.

    Can I go lower than 1 star?

    Concept is great. My devices last a long time, but not these.. I'm up to 3 cables and one port that's fried.... I care for my stuff, and am an engineer.. I know what is "user" and what is "product"... Pretty soon my phone won't charge at all.. so less than 2yrs, and my phone will require $269 repair for a design fault? I've got Tons of Apple products, but this doesn't please me.

    Junk

    These cords are a joke. I've had my phone for a little over a year now and been through about 5 of them. Nearest apple store is over an hour away so it's cheaper to just pay than drive to have them warrantied, even when I have they've tried blaming it on me saying I don't know how to unplug the cable from the phone. I will start exploring other brands

    Another bad charge cable

    I just picked up my 3rd Apple charge cord since January. I know a lot of people are having trouble with them but I thought I would ask the question if it possible is a bad run of cords?

    I moved over to IPhone in January and love this phone. For 10 years I used Samsung phones, well, one HTC and a moto, and found this phone to be just what I was looking for. I'm not sure how long I am going to stay in love with a phone that requires and new cord every other month????

    Since I live in the sticks an Apple store is a long way off, 100 miles. My local Radio Shack stocks the IPhone cord so at least I can get a new one. They really weren't to keen on replacing the last one so I just bought another one.

    LIGHTNING CORDS ARE DEFECTIVE

    I've had to purchase 3 cords in 3 months because the outer coating splits, exposing the wires inside. This has never happened with previous iphone cords.

    Just bought my 3rd cable in six months

    I got this phone in January and this is the third cord I have bought for the phone. My USB cord for my IPhone 4 never broke and I had the phone for years. Not sure if getting the IPhone5 was worth it with the cord breaking every few months.

    "This cable is not certified"

    Wow, Apple's own cable magically becomes not certified?


    My iPhone was the last Apple Product I will ever buy again.

    Amount of iPhone 4S Cables I've replaced? 0. And I had the same cable for my iPod Second Gen, iPod Video, and iPhone 4S.
    Amount of cables I've had to replace for my BlackBerry? 0.

    I hear Android uses the same cable as the BlackBerry. Might be nice to go to a company that uses an industry STANDARD

    Poor quality cable

    Bought my 5S in Dec 13 & the white outer casing split open along the middle of the cord exposing the wires some time around April 14. I used electrical tape to keep it in place, but that only worked a few weeks & today the cord stopped working altogether. Since Apple warranties their products for 1 year, I will be visiting the Apple store here to get a free replacement. Such a cra*py cord for it to be an Apple product.

    poor design

    I have had my iPhone 5 for just over a year and i am on my second cord. Apple replaced first cord as it was only a few months old. They both broke off at the dame spot, so obviously a defect.

    Change this cheap design

    I have had two iPhones and a MacBook your cheap charger designs cost more money than it's worth when I constantly have to shell out 20-80 dollars each time one breaks which is often. You can put a fingerprint scanner into a phone, you can create quality accessories for your phone. It's a consistent problem that we face with all your cheaply made chargers and even headphones. It's the least you can do if you're going to make your phones incompatible with all other brands of chargers. Seriously is turning me off from apple products when you don't even try anymore. Hardly quality for a phone that retails for over $600.

    This cord is a scam!

    I have purchased TWO of these cords in the past 6months and I want my money back. The cord bends at the base of my iPhone and will no longer charge my phone. This is very inconvenient.

    Just bought 3rd cable, these cables are garbage.

    Never had a problem with the old cables on iPods, or old phones but these new cables are so cheap. They keep shorting and falling apart.

    Worst Apple product ever

    I really love my iPhone 5 and my iPad 4th generation, and they do charge faster than the old 3G/4S iphones, but the quality of this cable is terrible! All 3 cables for my iphone, iPad, and my daughter's iphone broke with just moderate use in a very short amount of time...within a month or so. For two of them, the wires became exposed by the lightning end, and for the third one, it looks like it shorted out, as it looks slightly brown (burned?) at the end. Not only that, but 2 other "Apple certified" brands of lightning cables that I've purchased have also had the wires exposed and stopped working. I'm trying another brand now but hoping for better results. It's so frustrating that am seriously considering jumping to the Android ship...just because of stupid, inferior cables! Apple, fix this cable situation or you will pay for it in lost customers!
