    This cable is poor quailty!!!

I have been through 4 in a year and a half!! I don't have wifi at home so we would mirror Netflix to the tv for our daughter at night. It worked great for a couple months then any time the iPad got barley tapped it would disconnect, then eventually it went out all together it's FOUR different ones!!! I'm calling the company tomorrow to see what they can do because this is our only option to watch Netflix on our tv. Highly disappointed. You'd think apple would get this fixed

    Simply doesn't work.

I tested with an iPhone 7 s plus, an iPad II, two HP HDMI displays and 2 HDMI cables. iOS 11.3 and iOS 9.3.5.

    1. No picture. No signal on the HDMI displays. At all. None. Nothing.
    2. Neither device charges when plugging in a lightning cable or old school cable (iPad II).

Completely. Useless. This is a pure garbage product. It simply doesn't work. Period. Yet Apple still sells this bundle of garbage.

It is a 0 star product.

Thought it be a great idea, and I was wrong. For some reason I can watch YouTube for eight hours straight and it doesn’t have to buffer once ! The second I plug-in this handy-dandy little thing I lose all cell phone service and it says please connect to the Internet junk junk junk . Why don’t you allow it to work. Would you somehow be losing money. Apple s—— . PS stop holding all my photos and videos hostage you s—- b—— thank you.

    Definitely NOT there yet!

Purchased this for my iPad Pro 10.5" (2017). It connected right up to the TV, no problem (once I connected power to the cable)...until I started to watch something. The picture on the TV was very choppy, but was fine on the iPad. I tried YouTube & Netflix and encountered the same issue. I have a Mac, as well, and use Amazon's mini display port to HDMI, with the same TV, and have absolutely no issues...What gives???

    Absolutely Worth It!

I originally purchased this because I use my iPad for any of my in class college coursework in lieu of a laptop. This was purchased only to adapt my iPad to be able to display projects and powerpoint for in class presentations, any capabilities beyond that were a bonus for me. Not only does it do that perfectly, I have not seen any lag issues with playing video from my iPad either. I would recommend those giving this low reviews because it stopped working to take advantage of its one year warrantee and exchange it for a new product.

    Don’t waste your time

It was great when it was working, but after 3 months it stopped working out right out of nowhere, no warning signs no nothing just stopped suddenly.

Do not buy! Does not work! Zero stars!

Just spent $50 on this hoping to be able to mirror my iPhone 5s on my tv. Nope! Does not work! I just spent over an hour trying to figure it out. Then I came and checked the reviews here. Almost every single review has the same problem - not working at all if you have ios11 on your device. Well I have iOS 11 so it's not working on my phone. Very very disappointed. I've been an Apple user for over 20 years this is the first time I have encountered an apple product that simply does not work. DONT BUY THIS!

    Awesome adapter

I don’t know what everyone is complaining about. I bought one of these it works perfectly. I’ve tried it with different apps and just playing around. I mainly bought it so I can watch WWE pay per views on my tv instead of the tablet. Easier for my kids and I to watch it together. Make sure you are using a charging cord too. So glad I ignored all the bad reviews

    Apple AV adapter POS

Just bought the adapter and was very disappointed. Works with you tube only. Did not work with hbo go, amazon prime, or Netflix. I wouldn’t recommend this product because they portrayed it as being able to do all those things on the product information detail.

    Works Great

I travel a lot and this allows me to hook up my iPhone 6s or iPad Air to a TV. I pack it and an HDMI cable and it is great!

I would give it 5 stars but it is quite expensive, so it only gets 4 from me.

    Cheers!

    Cannot get it to work

Just purchased this adapter from Apple, and cannot get it to work at all. Have tried 5 different HDMI cables, 4 different iPads and iPhones, on 3 different TVs. Doesn’t work at all, going to return it tomorrow.

    Works great after IOS11.2.6 re-install

When I upgraded my Iphone 5s , I got a new Iphone 8 with a new IOS. My old apple adapters didn't work.
After calling tech support, we wiped the OS and re-installed it with ITunes instead of upgrading via wireless download.
After that, the 4 old lightning to HDMI and lightning to VGA adapters worked great. The adapters have been used heavily for 4 years with no problems.
The problems I encountered were not the adapters , but software problems on the phone that needed to be fixed.
I am very glad about this since the adapters are way too expensive for what they are.

    Garbage

No surprise, this product is of similar quality to apple charging cables. Worked well for a few months, played TV Shows and Movies from my phone on TVs (very handy if you travel a lot). However, after only a few months it stopped working. It will still charge my phone so there must be something wrong with the HDMI plug in or wiring. Almost immediately (after only a few uses) I noticed the typical apple cable bulge, basically you can't bend the cable portion at all or it will break, just like apple charging cables.

I like most apple products, but their accessories are expensive to buy and don't hold up. Seriously considering going to another media source such as amazon.

    Very disappointed in this product.
    Would not recommend.
    If I could rate 0/5 I would.

Stopped working after last iOS update

We used it for about six months with no issues. After the last iOS update, it ceased working and Apple said the product was defective.

Except, it still works on an older iOS device that we haven't updated, so it was definitely the update.

Apple products are sinking lower all the time.

Doesn't work on Chevy Tahoe Infotainment

I got mine to use for playing movies, videos for my kids on the backseat screen in a 2018 Tahoe. I first tested it on my tv. It didn't work on first several attempts. Only after I plugged it into the wall outlet while the hdmi was connected did it work and it was not a smooth picture.
I spent a lot of time messing with it in the Tahoe and it just doesn't work. The Chevy Infotainment doesn't even see it. So frustrating!

    Doesn’t really work

All i can get through this brand new extremely overpriced cable is a black screen. Apple used to work so well and easily configured. Over the last couple years my apple gear has been junk, i have a house full of apple devices that cause nothing but headaches now.
Apple... if you’re exclusively producing junk you need to drastically reduce your prices.
