    Almost there....

Apple you are so close.... Love the case but they could have made it so much better...like they could have used all of the back and made the battery even bigger, you can only really use apple headphones with the case on because of the small hole for the headphone jack, and (it could just be me but) It doesn't seem to support video adapters through the case so if you use them often like I do you have to take off the case, and I wish it came in more colors/leather, and I can stand it but I wish that the big extended chunk on the bottom of the case for the connections was smaller but... Now I know this makes the case seem bad but I actually do love the case a lot like I love how I can see on the phone the charge of the case and phone and stuff like that P.S. Apple should just be OK with making there phones a little bigger so they can put a bigger battery in the phone.....

very warm battery, takes hours to charge, and drains fast

Been using it for a few weeks. It seems to take a whole night to charge, yet it drains in less than a day even when not using it much! Much faster than the phone's battery itself. :( Disappointed purchase.

    Does not work correctly

I purchased this in December and it does not work well at all. I was hoping to use it as a cover full time but this is not possible. When you connect a wall socket to charge it the phone is the only thing that charges. The cover is totally bypassed and does not charge, no matter how long it is plugged in. . Instead you need to take the phone out of the cover and charge both separately.

    Great product

I just recently purchased this case from Apple. I must say I love it so far. You can't really judge this case from the Internet. Go to apple and hold it in your hand before you judge. Does add a little bit of weight, but what battery case doesn't? Also the added weight feels very balanced in the hand. I love the battery display built right into io9 notifications bar. What really sold it for me was the built in lighting port, and when charging it charges the case and phone at the same time.

Got this for the wife as a present for her new iPhone 6. Worked for a month. Now it won't charge. Return limit was 14 days. So stuck with it. Waste of good money. Would have been better off buying a non Apple product. Had one of those, they work much better.

Surprised how much I like it.

I had used Mophie cases in the past that scratched my phone or the top would get loose and just be an annoyance. Even though I read that this case was ugly and called the hump I thought I'd try it as the other cases didn't work for me. Needless to say it is the easiest case I ever used and I cannot stress how nice not to have to use a micro usb cable just the lightning one. Battery life while traveling has been great and I barely use the internal phone battery most of the time. Nice to be nearing the end of the day and seeing you have 80-90% internal battery than 10% or none at all restricting what you can do with phone. The integration into the notification screen of the battery indicators is great. Not the greatest design Apple has come up with but not bad either. The one cable solution and ease of removal makes this case better than I have ever used hands down.

It is just that simple and smart.

This is what a battery case should be.

Easy to snap on, you don't need to worry about anything, and your phone will last longer. THat's it.

You can easily view the status in the notification screen.

It will know when to charge the battery or the phone. It will combine the different power saving features on the phone to let you use the phone longer.

You just plug it in and charge it.

mAh, how many charges, etc, don't really matter. What matters is a simple add on that will just let you use your phone longer, nothing else to think about.

It should be that smart and simple.

    Apple embarrassment !!

While the feel of the case is more pleasing than the third party producti i have used for years.... the case is just unreliable. Randomly and reguarly it will go from BOTH batteries fully charged... and 4 hours later the phone is dead. I strongly thing this case (may just be mine) drains the phone more than it adds to it. I gave 2 other cases to my sister and friend. They both report unimpressive experiences.

More thought = more customer service

First off I love this case. Feels good, works great and is very well made. I don't mind the bump. You have to give up something for extra battery life. But what really mugs me off is how Apple just keeps taking the mickey. You can only really use apples own headphones as no others fit. You can't even use the dr beats headphones and they own them. First they could have made it so the headphone socket is extended. But then they offer an adaptor for another £7. So they knew the issue then!? That's just taking the mickey guys. Like when you introduced the Lightning connector. If you just offer an adaptor with it, you know you can afford it in the price, you won't annoy customers. Never ever set out to annoy your customers guys. In the long term it will always impact your reputation. Always. Stop it. Think......

Works as battery case, but hurts usability.

Works as advertised and provides the extra juice I need to get through the day. However, I'm someone who previously didn't use a case at all. The added bulk and weight were enough to bother me and cause me to return it. Also, the silicone material made it very difficult to get in and out of my pants pocket, which I do throughout the day. Next phone, I'm just going to get the "Plus" version with its monster battery.

    Form Follows Function

Great option if you need the additional juice. I do most days. Would take this over a separate battery pack, which I considered along with a Mophie. Pictures make the hump appear huge...not a big deal and actually lends in making the case easier to hold and to lay flat on the backside. Suggest trying one on at Apple Store first...there should be a demo case there specifically for this purpose. Size and feel are good. Does add noticeable weight. Still fits nicely in jeans pocket. Plan to use it during the week when usage is heavy and use my old thin case (or no case) on weekends. Integration with iOS is a big plus.

    Battery Case

i got this case thinking it would be great! I got and it was a lot heavier. i also found that it gets dirty very easily, but it is nice to have the extra battery.
I also noticed that after putting it on and taking it off a lot there is a little rip!
i wish there was a switch or some way to turn the case on and off because it never stops charging!!!
    Hope this was helpful.

Best Battery Case out there! Buy it if you have Battery OCD like me!

Having a bit of OCD when it comes to making sure my iPhone 6 is fully charged at all times because you never know when you might need it most, i have become obsessed in obtaining little gizmo's etc in ensuring i have a good battery or can charge it as and when i need too.
I seen this advised, read up on it and watched reviews on YouTube before taking the plunge and parting with the cash.

I will tell you now, i am kicking my own backside wishing i did it sooner! It lasts ALL day easily, I take it off charge at 0550 when i get up for work and don't need to plug it back on charge again until i go to bed, its that good people! And take it from me and man who is obsessed with making sure i can charge my phone!

My only gripe is the colours, Black and White.... but I'm sure more funky colours will be coming soon?

Buy one ASAP if your like me and like to have a full charge before you leave the house....

Serves purpose, but half baked integration

Firstly, I believe that requiring a case to protect a phone is a ridiculous concept to begin with. A product should be designed to operate stand alone for the purpose it was intended, and built to withstand the conditions that a user would typically expose it to with both functional and aesthetic protection for an anticipated ownership cycle, within reason. The fact that an external battery would be required to keep up to the demands of usage over a short period points to serious design flaws, or at least, underestimations for power demands by associated products (i.e. bluetooth connectivity to the Apple Watch). Putting those blaring elements aside, this is a band-aid to both of those shortcomings, and a necessity for anyone needing to rely on their iPhone with moderate usage over the period of a day. I have always steered towards propriety products to support my beloved hardware, and integration of power management from the lock screen was a star feature in this product. With an iPhone 6 (not sure about the 6s), I have found the power management features seem to stop there. If you leave your phone in the case and power it down to charge overnight, only the phone will charge. You have to leave your phone on when charging in order for the case to benefit, even though it passes through it. Other gripes include the required depth for any headphone jack to reach deep through this case to make a good connection with your phone. Any break design elements in the neck of the 3.5mm jack for headphones will likely be obstructed by the design. Lastly, the speakers on your phone are diverted to project out the front of the case, and sound terrible. I would also imagine that the microphone is affected similarly. The entire sensory portion on the base of the phone (jack, port, mic, and speakers) are concealed and reduced to the equivalent of using a snorkel. If you absolutely need the extra power time, and can deal with the ugly design, additional weight (albeit comfortable), I would not recommend this one. I've always been a huge proponent for Apple products, but this release is not a good indicator of leading product design. If I'd ordered it in a restaurant, I'd be sending it back to the kitchen.

    Great product, needs an adapter

I love this case for when you're caught short without a way to charge via the mains, but most headphones won't fit; should really come with an adapter.

Love it. Makes the phone feel solid and 'grippable'

First battery case I've ever used with an iPhone (I've had 3GS, 4, 4S, and now the 6), and this is a lovely design.
Photos of the case make it look more bulbous than it actually is, I think.
    Love it!

    Defective Unit

I order this case in Charcoal Grey for my iPhone 6S. The first time I took it out of the box and put my iPhone in it, it worked perfectly. Charging my phone until it was depleted. The problems began once I wanted to charge the case. The charging indicator would briefly illuminate, then turn off and the case would not charge whatsoever. With or with my 6S in the case. Very disappointing because I was very excited to start using this case.

Great piece of kit, and one which was desperately needed for iPhone. Despite the claims Apple makes as to battery life, the reality is that I use my iPhone 6 constantly, for business and personal reasons, and Bluetooth it to the iWatch and my car etc etc. All of this drains power. Whilst it is not too bad, as in, I can get through a normal business day, if my son then wants to pinch my phone to watch a video, the on-board battery has just about had it! I would never consider putting a third party battery case on to my phone, so to see Apple finally realise that usage of the iPhone in a normal day is too much for the battery, and develop this case, is really good news. Maybe in the future they'll just put a bigger battery into the phone!

As others have said, this is incredibly simple to use, well made, and typically beautifully presented. I love the fact that the case can be charged independently, and has charging lights on it for that purpose. Also love the battery metering in notifications on iPhone. Looking at some of the third party options, which were actually significantly more expensive, makes me think this is very good value for money too. Highly recommended.
