Charging point underneath and not enough warning when battery is low

    • Written by Philippa F from Cirencester

So, working away on a project, up against a deadline, I'm sure a large amount of graphic designers are Apple's custom, and a warning comes up on the screen 'mouse batteries low' so I go to check how low and it's 1%, no time to do anything about it, it just died on me, leaving my urgent exhibition job hanging in the breach. My work is full on and deadlines are always very tight and the one thing that let me down was Apple. I said to my husband, "Look at this" and showed him the mouse, he said "Can't you use it when it's charging, that's not very good!" I said "That's Apple!" his response was "I thought they were better than that!" Sums it up really. Refuse to buy another one and line Apple's pocket when the first one does not live up to the standards of what I expect from Apple. Terrible design!

    Magic Mouse 2 not quiet!

    • Written by Bob P from Mansfield

I like the Magic Mouse 2, as I did the MM1. It's one of the most reliable mice that I've ever used....BUT they're also one of the noisiest mice there is! It's time that Apple made a Magic Mouse 3 with all the features of the MM2, but QUIETER!!!

    Good looking but poor implementation

    • Written by Viktor E from Amsterdam

The mouse is very slick and good looking but, but it is terrible to use. The right click is terrible and sometimes lifts the whole mouse. The clicks themselves are frontal to the mouse, so if you click just a bit more towards the middle it acts weirdly. Also no middle click.

Charging port placement is a design flaw second only to hockey puck mouse

    • Written by Dave G from San Diego

When I get the warning that the battery is low, it's too late. I have to stop working and plug it in, because it's going to die any second. Because the port is on the bottom, I can't use my computer.

How about warning me when the battery level is 25 percent, so I can make it through the end of the day? I love everything else about this mouse, but this issue is nearly a deal-breaker. I want to give it a one-star because of how bad the impact can be on my productivity. Trying hard to be objective as I'm sitting here yet again unable to use my computer while this mouse is charging.

I have 2 of these mice

    • Written by Keith B from FRANKSTON

Neither will connect to my desktop iMac nor my MacBook. I had some success with one mouse recently. It worked beautifully for three weeks. It has since decided to become uncommunicative again. I guess I will have to buy another Logitech mouse.

    Best mouse ever!!!

    • Written by Reid G from Fort Calhoun

This mouse works very well. It is wireless and rechargeable. I don't mind charging a mouse. I never have to replace batteries. It has the same charging port as iPad and iPhone. It is very sensitive. Best mouse ever. I cannot believe I have seen a lot of negative reviews. I am glad I ignored all the negative reviews. I have not had an issue with it so far.

The biggest waste of money. I bought this because I generally love using a mouse instead of the mouse pads on the computer, so I thought this mouse was a good idea. Well, I thought wrong. This mouse barely works on any surface, and it's way slower than using the mouse pad. Save your money instead of buying this product.

gimmick, garbage, gestures are not responsive

    • Written by Jerry T from Mississauga

looks sleek. innovative, but does not function as well as a hundred dollar mouse should. very disappointed in this. the gesture taps are unresponsive, the right click is poorly designed (you have to lift your left finger for a right click, or hold down command - makes for uncomfort), not everyone loves a low, flat mouse, and the glass top scratches VERY EASILY...not sure if it's even glass..

overall a very disappointed customer and I would not recommend this mouse to anyone. get it together apple.

Love the design, not that way to charge it

    • Written by Catherine M. C from Portland

The only thing I don't like about this mouse is that it's unusable while charging. The design fits well in my hand and feels comfortable. Why not create a mouse like the keyboard where you plug it in and can still use it. That you are unable to do that is a real design flaw in my opinion.

    magic mouse 2

    • Written by Barbara V from Smithville

I would give this mouse a less than one if possible. The engineer who designed this must have gotten his degree from low budget a online school. You can't use it while it is charging, THE PORT IS ON THE BOTTOM. It gives you no warning that the battery is low, it just quits working. I have had mine about 7 months and it won't charge anymore. I paid $100.00 for a piece of junk.

    Good mouse, stupid design.

    • Written by Hailey W from Port Kembla

It's a fine mouse. Unless you need to charge it. Then you can't use your computer until it is charged. I wish I had known this before I bought it, because I would have gone for the trackpad instead. This little sucker ain't cheap and the charging issue is a huge pain.

    Love it

    • Written by Lauren K from Indianapolis

Got this mouse for Christmas 2018. Have used it most days since for studying and it's at 87% battery life. I haven't charged it since the first charge on Christmas. So yes, people are correct in saying that you can't use the mouse when it's charging, but the battery life lasts so long just charge it when you go to sleep and you'll be fine. I think my biggest complaint is that it drains the battery on my computer because of the bluetooth. So it would be nice if it had the option to be wireless or have a wire to the computer. But I'm just being picky. I just don't use it unless my computer is plugged in. Awesome product overall, I love how you can do the same gestures on the mouse and the trackpad. It's amazing!

Great mouse! Very sensitive, accurate, and very cool gesture controls on the top. I recharge mine about 4 times a year. Why does everyone cry so?

About 8 month I'm work with this mouse. Works well, fast and keeps charging for very long time. In this 8 month I'm charged this mouse only one time at 5th month of use. I use this mouse 8-9 hours per day. Very convenient for use and beautiful design. I like this mouse.

I wanted to love this mouse

    • Written by Adam G from Austin

The reason I bought this mouse was for smooth scrolling (since other mice jump increments) and to be able to scroll horizontally (since other mice only do vertical). Even though, it does both of these things well, it often accidentally scrolls, stops or does something else because my fingers accidentally activate it while scrolling / working. Another thing I didn't expect was for it to feel so un-ergonomic. Do not get this mouse if you have ergonomic issues, or use your computer for normal work days.

I really wanted to love this mouse, but in fact the annoying problems it causes make it worse.

This thing can literally harm you and your project

    • Written by Steve D from Westminster

This mouse is so bad that I caution anybody ever using it to be careful. What do I mean? The mouse is so poorly designed that if you are working in a DAW (digital audio workstation) and you accidentally touch the mouse ever so slightly in the wrong place, the volume knob on various plugins will shoot up to max volume, potentially damaging your ears and/or speakers. It will also change parameters of a perfectly good working mix simply by moving the mouse over various parameters when you did not touch anything other than moving the mouse around the screen (without clicking anything). There are 3rd party software solutions that help with this but it's still so crummy that I would recommend if you are reading this to never, ever buy this thing. Seriously, do not buy it.

Half of you guys don't appreciate good stuff. This mouse is great if you wanted a mouse more interactive with your Mac due to the touch abilities. Great size! Its slim and light. People that complain about the size or fit are just complainers. Maybe customize your own mouse if you are really complaining. lol Also battery life is amazing?? If you are complaining about how you can't charge it while using it are finding excuses to bash this product lol maybe charge it while sleeping, showering, the time you are away from the computer ??? The price may be high but other brands also have the same price or higher. You pay what you get. I paid for a mouse that is interactive with my Mac just like the trackpad and I'm happy about it.
