    Great product

I don't know why everyone is crying about the charging port being on the bottom. Ummmm, just charge the mouse when you're not using the computer.
The battery lasts a very very long time and goes into a standby mode if you forget to turn it off. I left mine on in the afternoon yesterday and it was at 83%... 24 hours later, it's still at 83%.

    Love it

The Magic Mouse 2 is the perfect complement to Apple's trackpads, which are still the best in the industry. As someone who actually uses this mouse for 8 hours a day every day, I'd like to address the two main complaints that I often see about it: (a) it can be uncomfortable to hold, and (b) you can't use it while it's charging.

Regarding (a), yes, the mouse does have a very low profile and relatively flat surface. I think a lot of people think it's uncomfortable because they try to grip it like a traditional mouse, which is usually much taller and rounder. Instead, if you just rest your hand on it much like you would with a trackpad, it's perfectly comfortable.

Regarding (b), the fact that you can't use the mouse and charge it at the same time is really not that big of a deal in practice. First of all, the battery life is excellent; mine lasts more than a month on a single charge. Second of all, macOS will notify you when the battery gets low with plenty of warning, so if you just charge it whenever it's convenient (at the end of the day, overnight, etc.), you won't have to worry about it. Finally, even if the mouse dies on you in the middle of the day, plugging it in for literally just a few minutes will provide enough additional battery life (multiple hours) to make it till the end of the day, at which point you can then charge it fully.

    Best Purchase in Years

    • Written by Steven K from Virginia Beach

I bought the Magic Mouse 2 because I was tired of replacing batteries in my old original Magic Mouse. The fact that the charge cord plugs into the bottom of the mouse is odd because it renders the mouse unusable while it is charging. But it charges very quickly and the charge lasts at least a month. The click feels positive and better than the old mouse and right clicking works great. I don't really get the negative reviews of this product because it works so well. The charge port location is again odd but in my opinion, a minor inconvenience.

    Good Purchase

Very nice mouse, like the multi touch gestures, charging is annoying because of the port on the back but the battery lasts for ages. Ideal for work and browsing the web but not for gaming.

    rechargable mouse.

    • Written by Angelina L from Roselle park

Smartest Design ever: either buy 2 (LOL) , or make sure you charge once a month (like its rent.); no battery changing... (going to the store to spend money on batteries- SO TOTALLY INCONVENIENT!!) , just a 2 hour plug in (so that the battery doesn't get a chance to be drained AS it's charging) once a month. FREAKING GENIUS.

I don't love the price. but I get it.

I do love the product. so I totally got it
    .....(for me and my kid).

    Best Mouse Ever!

    • Written by Eli C from Chevy Chase

I am a big fan of Apple products and services. I got a Magic Mouse 2 for Christmas and I have used it ever since. Mose people complain about the Magic Mouse 2 because you can't use it while it's charging. I have never run into problems with the battery dying over the the almost 6 months that I've had it. The Magic Mouse 2 is perfect for MacBook users that have a broken trackpad or just want a mouse without sacrificing some of the features of Apple trackpads like horizontal scrolling. I would recommend the Magic Mouse 2 to any Mac user looking for a mouse.

    It works well!

    • Written by Brad C from Chicago

All these one star reviews.. I get weeks of use out of mine, so it's not hard to just plug it in occasionally as I do with my apple TV remote. Not once have i ran out of power? I'm going to call user error, and the fact I no longer have to keep spare AA's in my bag when traveling is a plus!

I can't imagine why anyone would write a negative review about this mouse. The ability to charge -- which took me awhile to figure out because I wasn't expecting it -- is great.

I absolutely hate having to buy batteries because it means having 1 more thing to worry about and 1 more thing to remember to buy. I've only had to charge this mouse like maybe 8 times in the 3 years that I have had this mouse. It is slow to charge, but it takes MONTHS to discharge, so that's a pretty good deal.

I don't understand anyone that would give this anything less than 4 stars. Really.

It points and it clicks where I want it to click. I even use it for casual gaming.

It is very useful and very beautiful. It is priced very well for what you get.

Customizable Multi-Touch Surface Makes This The Ideal Mouse

    • Written by Tim M from Buffalo

The ability to customize this mouse's available features (features that would otherwise necessitate a cluttered mess of buttons strewn around the device) makes the Magic Mouse 2 an aesthetically-pleasing product, with the functional abilities of a more physically complex mouse. The multi-touch gestures are so similar to the motions I use when operating my iPhone that they come naturally and, if they don't, I can just disable them. I had initially wanted to give this product 4 stars due to the relatively sharp edges along its sides, but I've actually come to find these edges give me a better grip while using it. I would definitely recommend you try it out for yourself, in spite of the generally negative consensus.

    absolutely wonderful

    • Written by Ryleigh R from San Antonio

Ignore every bad review written about this mouse. I got this mouse for my birthday and it is extremely convenient. It is very easy to use and is very smooth. I have a MacBook Pro and connecting with the lightning chord was not an issue because I purchased the adapter when I got the laptop. Although charging the mouse may seem inconvenient because the charging port is located on the bottom, it charges very fast and lasts for a very long time. There are many useful functions on the mouse, like zoom, single finger scrolling, and easy access to mission control. You can also control how fast or slow the mouse responds to movement, and the amount of customizations you can make to this mouse makes it all that much more useful. Overall, it is a great investment and a very convenient product

If you are an apple fan with average size hands this mouse is great. People hate on it quite a bit but the features are great. It looks clean and the functionality is great as well. You will enjoy it if you don't extremely overanalyze it.

    Great Mouse - 5 Star

    • Written by Andrew W from Sherman Oaks

I was a little reluctant to get this mouse initially. I had gotten the Logitech T630 mouse a couple of years ago because I thought the MM2 was too expensive. It worked great until about 4-5 months ago when the scrolling function just stopped working. I had also seen a lot of 1 star reviews on here so that made me more hesitant. After jumping into try it for myself, I would say that this is the best "touch" mouse option for the Mac. It works great and doesn't stop working if the surface gets a little oily which can happen over the course of hours when you're working. It has a couple of gestures and multitouch functions that didn't come with the Logitech. I haven't had the issues that most of the 1 star reviewers are reporting fortunately. I think most of the time, people review things when they're bad and not enough people leave reviews when things go well. If you're hesitant to try it out, don't let these reviews stop you. Plus, you can always return it if it doesn't work. I caught a sale price at Best Buy and used some rewards certificates to help get the price down. One thing that would be nice is if Apple came up with an ergonomic option or an option for people with larger hands.

    Best mouse ever!!!

    • Written by Reid G from Fort Calhoun

This mouse works very well. It is wireless and rechargeable. I don't mind charging a mouse. I never have to replace batteries. It has the same charging port as iPad and iPhone. It is very sensitive. Best mouse ever. I cannot believe I have seen a lot of negative reviews. I am glad I ignored all the negative reviews. I have not had an issue with it so far.
