    Excellent Product

I don't know why people are complaining, I just got mine, paired in less than a few seconds and like all Apple products, it just works. Upgraded from the battery powered keyboard, it was a pain in the a** replacing batteries. This one came 80% charged and took less than a couple of minutes to charge up to a 100%.

    One step forward....three steps backwards....

All the above reviews clearly state all the problems. One thing thats yet to be pointed out is the fact that they changed the size of the top row buttons.....and for what? Seriously!!! All that did was make any key cover or overlay that was previously purchased to fit the first version of the wireless keyboard NOT FIT now!!!! Stupid just freaking stupid. So now I'm suppose to buy another one that fits this just because you felt it was necessary to change the size of the F keys. C'mon Apple

    Love the feel

I love the feel of the keyboard. I really wished that the Macbook had this keyboard.

It works great, and it's fantastic that it works as a wired keyboard if you need it to. It even works with a PC using the wired mode! And automatic pairing is amazing.

    The keys feel great!

I always loved the keys on my Macbook Pro. I told people it was the greatest keyboard that I had ever used. I was disappointed when I bought the wireless keyboard as the keys just didn't have the same feel and they made a lot of noise when typing. While this one still makes a bit of noise, the keys feel much nicer and don't take as much force to use. I really like this keyboard. I haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life or anything, but I'm sure that will be fine too. I'll report back if I find something that I don't like, but for now, I love this keyboard.

    Bad, really bad arrows

Keyboard is great for extended typing, but it has one big fault: the left and right arrows. Being the same size as the option key, it's very hard to proper positioning the hands without looking it, and you end up touching the left arrow instead of the option key and viceversa. How important/problematic this is? Well, It's very hard to use Xcode with such a problem.

    Great Keyboard!

I love the feel of this keyboard over the previous versions. Since this version is more horizontal, I've noticed less wrist pain because in feels like I'm typing directly on the desk and I don't need to elevate my wrists. I also love the tactile response of the keys. I felt the older version keys were a bit to springy. It feels like I can type much faster with this new version.

    The perfect keyboard

Reading the reviews, this new keyboard from Apple seems to bring out strong opinions! I definitely fall into the best-hardware-they've-ever-made camp on this one. It's a superb keyboard: precise, low travel (but enough), a delightful firm feeling to each key press, lightweight & robust enough to chuck it in a bag to use with an iPad, instant to pair, easy to charge – it even has a proper on/off switch… it's the gold standard of keyboards. Using the keyboard on my MacBook Air makes me very sad now – it just feels horrible & spongy in comparison. It makes me want a new Retina MacBook with the similar keyboard… maybe that was Apple's idea all along?

Its Good - but with a disappointing retrograde feature

I really like the new slimline Magic Keyboard. It is more ergonomic is design - better for the wrists.
I also like it that its wireless AND I can charge it - no more batteries.
However, the BIG disappointment is that its noisy. I loved my previous battery operated wireless apple keyboard particularly because it was so quiet. I am in a shared office and the sound of my typing disturbs my colleagues and especially me.
Hey Apple - please resolve this problem on your next model.
    Thanks.

    Terrific!

I purchased this (along with the magic mouse 2) for use with my new MacBook when I want to use a larger screen and I absolutely love it! One of the things I love about my MacBook is the feel of the keys when you type - this keyboard feels very sturdy and does not make a ton of noise (just like my MacBook) - I was a little hesitant to purchase cause I was worried it would not be as good of an experience as typing on my MacBook, but I love it. The fact that I can charge and not have to worry about batteries is a bonus. It's small and light and has the sleek Apple design I love - this and the mouse are so easy/quick to pair and great for travel (and saving space on your desk!) - I definitely recommend!

    Poorly designed!!!

It needs to be redesigned. Seriously.

First, it needs to have more tilt.
Second, keys need to have bolder and clear feeling.
I can't really feel the keys during typing.

    It's not typing friendly.
    These two problems make mistyping.

After using few hrs, I went back to the previous one.
    Oldies but goodies!!!

Horrible! Not up to Apple standards!

I started a new job and was super excited to find that I was to use a brand new Mac! Unfortunately, after only a week, I have sudden onset carpel tunnel from the awful angle of this keyboard! Is barely elevates at all, and now my wrists really hurt! And the stupid thing is so new, there are no functional keyboard stands to try to resolve the problem. I am shocked that Apple put their name on something that is so terrible! Make a stand, now please!!!!!! I'm desperate!!!!!!!

    Its just too small!

Got a fantastic 27" iMac but for some reason Apple think its a good idea to give you a keyboard that is smaller than the average laptop keyboard.

Has no tilt adjust and the keys are pointlessly small.

Typical Apple - it looks great but is form over function. Will be buying a proper keyboard today. Avoid this stupid model

    Love it!!

Bought this and the magic mouse to use them when I connect my macbook pro to my Thunderbolt screen. I am in love with them. The design of both is great, makes them very comfortable. they are small so they don't take much space on my workspace and the battery really lasts long. I have been using them 5 days straight all throughout the day..and I didn't charge them once yet. incredible!!

A great replacement to the original keyboard that came with my iMac.

I purchased this new Magic Keyboard as my current one was getting a little worn. I waited for a few months after it had been released to see what other people were saying about it and after reading many reviews I could not find many bad ones about it so I thought I would give it ago and am very happy and pleased that I did.

Using this new Magic Keyboard with my iMac has mad typing so much nice and quicker experience. The new design of the keys on the Magic keyboard are so much nice and smoother to type with than the keys on the standard keyboard that came with my iMac.

The angle of the new Magic Keyboard is far better to and feels more natural when using it.

I've given this new Magic Keyboard a 4 start rating out of 5, this is manly because when I first got it and was setting it, I ran in to a few problems. The instructions that come with it are very simple to follow which I did but after doing so the keyboard had not correctly connected to my iMac. I tried again and still nothing. In the end I had to contact Apple care who helped me sort out this issues. This was and has been so far the only downside to this product, everything else is perfect and I am very happy and pleased that I purchased it.

    Worth the money.

    A Great Keyboard

I decided to buy one some days before, because my old Macbook pro 13 is too hot for typing. Now I can type quicker using this keyboard. In addition, I found a keyboard cover on amazon which can be used for this new keyboard.

    I love this keyboard

Reviews are based on everyone's personal experience with new devices and technologies. If they have a bad or good experience, they associate that with the particular product. But as I am writing to you on this Magic Keyboard, I love this keyboard. I was surprised just how small it was. The keyboard I had previously was gigantic and was wired (Ick!). Plus, having a macbook pro complicates the keyboard nicely. Its light and the typing seed is quite fast. Getting used to another keyboard, mouse, or even computer takes some time. But if you hang in there, all 60 seconds, your experience will be positive. However, I fully understand different strokes for different folks. But personal experience has told me that I immediately love this typing device and confirms my faith in Apple, after reading some of the not-so-positive reviews. Thank you and good night.

Only had a few days, so far so good

Very stylish keyboard is this, its silent, I dont know whar some reviewers mean by noisy.
Lovely feel to it. Easy to install too.

However, I cant find how to check the battery level, yet!
So I am not sure how long it lasts.

Other than that, great! Pricey though.
