    Nice at first...

After 9 months of wear, the magnetic tip has corroded/rusted and a metal plate has fallen off. If I had spent $15 on this, no big deal. It is $200 and I would expect it to not do this, or I would hope that Apple would replace or fix it. They do not. I really liked this watch band and I am very disappointed.

I have both colors of the milanese loop and also bought the cheaper knock-offs from Amazon. Comparing the authentic band with the fake ones quickly justifies the price tag for this thing. The knock-offs are definitely impressive, but show wear and tear very quickly and just feel cheaply made once you've worn the original.
Also: if your watch got scratched - that's not the band's fault. It's made out of metal. Of course it will scratch your watch if you're not careful. This band also does not stain or rust (don't know where those reviews come from). I've used mine in the pool, showered with it multiple times, done intensive cardio workouts - not a spot anywhere on it. If it does get grimy from sweat or anything you can soak it in water with a little bit of baking soda to freshen it up

Absolute junk I can't believe they tested this

My Milanese Loop band has completely rusted at the point where it closes. I have never seen anything like it. If there was a way to post a photo I would and I doubt anyone would consider ever purchasing one. I am incredulous over the lack of quality. I can't believe this actually came from Apple but I know it did.

    Expensive, but worth it

After purchasing two different Milanese Loop bands off of Amazon where they felt cheap and flimsy I decided to buy the official Apple version. It's worth it if you want a beautiful, quality band that no third party manufacturer can match.

The main difference here between Apple's and the knockoffs is the thickness and the color. Apple's band has an overall thickness that is much denser than any of the knockoff bands. The color is also much nicer on the Apple version as it has a more subtle black to it and has a shine on it that blends perfectly with the space black stainless steel watch. As I said, its expensive, but worth it.

    Love the band

Like most individuals, I bought an Milanese Loop off of Amazon, one week later the band started to show the silver underneath the black paint. The band felt cheap and didn’t look good with my Series 3 stainless steel Iwatch. After reading the reviews and wanting a well crafted Milanese Loop, I decided to purchase the Apple 42mm Space Black Milnese Loop. I am extremely happy with the purchase, the band is well crafted and I could feel the difference immediately. The band feels great with a good weight, and feel with the material. I’ve owned the band for three months, the band has not chipped or shown any sign of wear, and I’m use this band at least 2-3 times a week. People have reported the band scratching, the Loop band hasn’t left a mark on my watch, but I do own the stainless steel version. The band does pull my arm hair but only once in a while, and I think it’s normal for the band to pull arm hair. My one quirk with the band is when attaching and unattaching the band I feel that I will eventually rub the coating off the two parts that attach to the watch, and I also feel the attachment piece will eventually scratch the in side of the band mechanism. Overall great watch and worth the 200 asking price.

Badly scratched my watch and my phone

Beware, this watch band scratched the glass on the front (screen) and back (sensor) of the watch with ease. In 24 hours of owning my watch, it got scratched up very badly. My phone also got scratched up. Apparently it's because of the "diamond-like carbon coating" on this watch band, which is harder than the glass. Now I have scratches on some very expensive Apple products (iPhone 7 Plus, and Apple Watch). Absurd. The band does not come with a warning of any sort.

I have the plain stainless steel Milanese loop that I bought two years ago, and I like it very much. It's the most comfortable band I have, since you can adjust it exactly as you want it.

But since I bought a space gray series 3 watch, I wanted the matching band. I put it off for a while, and finally decided to spring for it (after trying a knock-off band, which was a waste of £15). I was very disappointed. While it looks nice - that space black matches the watch perfectly - it wasn't very comfortable, feeling a bit rough. And on top of that, the bit at the end of the band with the magnet wasn't exactly straight. They different was only about one row of loops, but I couldn't unsee it, and for £200 I expected better. I returned it.

    Not worth it

I purchased the upgraded 42mm Milanese Loop watch three days ago. In those short three days the band has scratched the face, the bottom edge of the face, and the case itself beyond repair. I find this very disappointing considering the high dollar price tag and the fact that I’ve only had it for THREE DAYS!!!! Just get the sport band...

    Loosens with a Jacket on!

I just received this band as a gift and if you wear a jacket that's like a soft shell it will loosen up on you.The magnetic clasp will slip when it catches on the jacket causing the watch to be lose on your wrist and will be hanging off your arm. I had to tighten it up 3 times for only wearing it for just an hour. Don't buy unless you don't wear a jacket. Other then that defiantly looks stylish with the stainless series watch but only giving it a star.

Original Color Milanese should last longer than a year

The magnetic end began slipping excessively. So I scrutinized it and found it was coming apart. A small panel on the inside of the rubber ring was popping up. I tried to push it back down but instead, it fell off to reveal a bubble of rust and corrosion that had formed inside the band.

I do not swim nor bath with the watch on. I do exercises with it on, however. Could it be that there might be some kind of dielectric corrosion between the stainless and other metals caused by moister getting into the magnet compartment?

My band was purchased separately from the phone, yet Apple did agree to replace it. Because I had the extended warranty on the watch, they said the warranty included any Apple Watch accessories as well.

So the low rating is for the band, but not the warranty, which was excellent.

I don't think Apple should have paired this with the stainless watch

I ordered the stainless steel series 3 Apple Watch in space black. The band I chose was this one. I wish I had chosen the sport band instead. The loop not only raised the price but it feels like it also cheapens it and not in the good way. I no longer use it because it would never stay tight. I spent most of my day re-adjusting the band. I now use the other sport bands I used with my old sport model. I thought that if I upgraded to the stainless steel watch the quality in bands would be an upgrade as well. Not the case here.

    One of my favorite things.

The adjustability, the breathability, and the seemingly impossible durability of such a precision construction constantly pleases me.

I love how I can tighten and loosen it throughout the day as I want a different fit for different situations. When I'm sweating a bit I can loosen it, and when it starts slipping around tighten it back up.

My wrist gets much less sweaty under the band than with a traditional band.

I like the black because it doesn't look as flashy as the silver Milanese. It looks fine in everyday casual settings and could be mistaken for nylon at a distance but up close it's beautiful.

    Great innovative instrument.

Great band. If you don't abuse the handling and care for this instrument as you would any information item. You will get excellent service from this timepiece. All of the reviews that are most negative seem to handle the watch and band without care. This is excellent and sign of the future instrument.
Enjoy and follow the Apple care and directions.

    Comfortable and stylish

Had the Nike sports strap with my aluminium style Apple Watch 2 and wanted something for work. This strap fits the brief perfectly - looks great, comfortable with the infinite settings and light and durable. Would recommend it.

    Bottom Line: AMAZING!!!!

I almost got a $12 3rd party band instead of the Apple one since it was cheaper but I decided to take the risk of getting the more expensive Apple band and I LOVE IIIIIITTTTT!!! It's got a VERY strong magnet, looks sexy as frick, and it's SUPER COMFORTABLE! Definitely worth the $200 price tag for the AMAZING quality! Don't risk buying a cheap 3rd party!

Scratches Space Black Stainless Steel Series 2 Watch

The band itself is comfortable, however if the band gets into contact with any part of the watch case, it will scratch it. My sensor is all marked up now.

Will SCRATCH the Ceramic back of your watch

This band is cool, and looks great. But, if it comes into contact AT ALL (even for a split second), it can and will scratch the back of your watch. I learned this the hard way. If you are concerned about this, buy a different band.

    My favorite

I have several straps for my Series 2. Some are after market and some from Apple. My personal favorite is the Milanese loop. I like the precision adjustability. Is very comfortable and good enough that I do not notice anything on my wrist. I like that.
