    Exceeded expectations

As a retired communications engineer Royal Navy. The set of Beats X I purchased have excellent connectivity & battery life. The sound quality is earphones/headphones standards & expectations! If I’m requiring quality sound reproduction I use my B&O setup at home letting the acoustic analogue sound waves travel through the air before reaching my ears. As I said in the title of this review they perform as well if not better than I expected. Earphones are not my chosen form of transducer. But portability lowers my standards.

    Best earphones ever, period. But...

I love my BeatsX, my girlfriend loves here's and my friends love their's. They are so great I'm recommending it to everyone. The sound is very good (I was surprised that Beats finally sounds good) and they're very easy to use. But? But they've some problems with turning on. My first pair, bought right after the release, won't turn on. The service exchanged it for the new pair and they work perfect, but I'm worried that this may happen again.

    The Best Out There!

Love my Beats X! The sounds quality is amazing, the battery life is great and I love that I can charge them with my iphone cord! The fast charge time is the icing on the cake. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I think the cord that connects the buds look a little awkward--but maybe I'm just picky! The pro of having the cord is the mic, the con is just having the cord to deal with around your neck.

    Please read

Do not buy these, I am doing you the biggest favour by stopping you, I don't write reviews ever, just search the support if you don't believe me. They will just stop working one day for no reason I am on my third pair, I am so bored of returning them that I just asked for a refund, luckily I bought them from Argos and they relented and gave me vouchers. They said they are bored of having them returned too. They are great when they work but you will waste a lot of time and effort getting them repaired, I suspect there is a manufacture fault with these.

    The best and the worst

    1. Great sounding headphones. I have owned everything from jaybirds to Bose. These have a really good sound. The Bose are a little more rich in sound. 2. Battery life - they have a good battery life. I can listen to music at the gym for a couple hours then use them as hands free talking the rest of the day. They charge quick. 3. Durability- epic fail. On my 3rd set. Apple has stood behind them and replaced each pair but I expected better quality I guess. The inline volume begins to control itself and can’t be used by the user. The play / stop button is the first to stop working. Then the power button stops responding. You can turn them on but you cant turn them off, then you can’t do anything with it. I bought these in March and the first set lasted until September. Here it is December and on my third set as of today. 4. Love the ability to charge with my lightning charger.

RETURNING THEM!!! SOUND QUALITY IS DISGRACEFUL

These are the worst headphones I have ever used in regards to sound quality. The sound is tinny, ABSOLUTELY NO BASS & a complete disappointment. The plus side is that using them for making calls is great & sound quality for calls is amazing both ways. Easy to set up & very comfortable to wear. But the free ear pods that came with my iPhone X are MUCH better sound quality & the bass is fantastic. Compared to the Apple Ear Pods, the Beats X sound like a cheap Big W knock off version. Not worth the money.

No longer work after only 5 months

I bought these and they were absolutely perfect. I always take good care of my electronics and was really excited to try this pair by beats. They come with little metal parts that hold them in place in the ear. There are 2 sets and on the first set, the silicone portion came off because they were not well designed. After that, I put on the second set hoping that it would do better. They were working fine until the headphones just started shutting off after only 10 minutes of playing, even when they have been fully charged. They won't turn on after they have played for the 10 minutes, which is absolutely ridiculous. I was hoping for an awesome products and received one that no longer works after only 5 months.

One of the best products (after Powerbeats3) i've ever bought

The best there is...!! I had bought Beats X after buying Powerbeats 3 which was recommended to me by a friend... It's built mostly for leisure and Powerbeats is built for athletics...

    Very bad sound

Got my earphones this week and I am about to return them. Sound quality is really bad, especially if you look at the price tag. Compared to my wired Beats, they sound like a tin can.

Otherwise not impressed with the design (mini button to turn them on) or wearing comfort. Very mediocre product.

    Excellent Earbuds!

I've read the reviews about audio quality being a bit "tinny" and lacking the bass and rich sound Beats products are known for; but once you adjust and experiment with the tip sizes and even the wing tips that are included, your opinion will change. Great for the gym as well, if it swings around everywhere just wear them backwards and then cross them into an "X", they'll stay in place. Owned several pairs of Beats in the past, this is my favorite pair by far.

    Awful for Running

I gave these a chance for a few months, but they're definitely not made for runners. The weighty cord sits on your shoulders and bounces with every step, so i am constantly hearing the thuds in the headphones throughout my run, which sometimes I can ignore but still a nuisance. It also moves sometimes to one side so it is irritating to have to straighten it. My other qualm is that they do not stay in with any sign of moisture, which unfortunately tends to happen while running. I find myself constantly pushing them back into my ears at the smallest sign of sweat. If one falls out at this point i just leave it out tucked into my shirt or give up on listening. All in all do not recommend for runners.

    Very easy to use

Ultra iPhone-friendly. Really, turn them on, turn on Bluetooth. That’s all. Besides such a good compatibility, it is a good choice for everyday headphones since apart from having a very Good sound, I can notice that they are comfortable and lasts long enough not to change them during the day. But even you run out of charge it takes few minutes, after which beats can be used for another hour or two

W1 chip is cool but overall poor quality as an Apple product

I had them just for 2 months until they broke down and one side became louder than the other.now i’m waiting for repair.. I just used them very regularly for walking, I didn’t do any sports or any high activity with them. The sound chip is excellent. But overall I expect much more from this price range and Apple.. maybe they will improve it with beatsX 2

Lemon Alert- Do not buy these earphones

Take a look at the reviews for this. There is a common problem where the unit will fully charge but fail to power up. It happened to me in 4 months of purchasing the unit. Then Apple gave me a replacement and after 4 Months it happened again. It’s no fluke- check out how many posts for this unit have exactly the same problem. Apple should recall these and stop selling them. Buyer beware!
