    So much potential...

I bought my Beat's X headphones for myself around Christmas time, and don't get me wrong, I do love them - however, they need some serious improvements. After about 6 months with the Beats x and working out around 5/6 times a week with them, I have steadily noticed the decline in sound quality - and that quality was NOT great in the beginning. However, the fatal flaw for me, is the length of the cord that goes around my neck! IT IS WAY TOO LONG. It hangs too far, and when doing horizontal workouts, the earbuds pull right out of my ears (ouch) because the long wire is pulling them. There is so much potential here for the Beats x, but I would not recommend them for working out - especially weight lifting.

    Just blinking

Worked fine for a while and suddenly start disconnecting and end up by blinking 3 times and going off, and the warranty worth nothing, the agent just resetting it and denying any problem

Had to send it back in 5 times

This is the worst headphones ever please save your money, had to return it back to get repaired 5 times and now my warranty is out. This is literally the worst headphones I have ever bought. They are expensive and you would think they would be of good quality, but no was a total waste of my time. I have given up on this companies product and will never buy another piece of garbage from this company. I used it for like 6 months and never got to enjoy the headphones, had to send it in multiple times. I would definitely give it zero stars for longevity. Tacky and sub par at best.

Completely floored with the BeatsX!!! πŸ˜‹πŸ€—πŸ€˜

Best pair of wireless headphones yet!! I'm not a big Beats fan at all, but now I'm a true believer! Still a little skeptical of the Portable Speakers, but for these, are the Bee's Nee's...

Not as good as it look

I have this when it was first release but it just went dead after 1 month of normal usage. Luckily it was covered by warranty and i was given a replacement. Now after a year of usage, it just went dead again. No abuse just normal usage. Went to the store and was told that i need to pay to get a replacement that only provide 3 month warranty. No way i am going to spend that kind of money on something not reliable. Do a search on the internet and you will see all the problems associate with this product.

Wont last more than 3 months.

I got it replaced 3 times. Such a waste of money.

Just don't buy this, it's not worth the price. This will be my first and last beats product.

I've been through several of these in a little over a year...

The Beats X unfortunately do not hold up. I have had to replace mine several times in the last 14 months and my latest pair just became defective within a month.

Pair #1: Stopped charging after about three month. Replaced by warranty.
Pair #2: Sound on one side dropped about 50%. Replaced by warranty.
    Pair #3: Same as above.
Pair #4: OK, I lost this one.
Pair #5: Some sort of pinched wire situation in under a month (movement, touching the cable, etc. causes static/sound cut out).

It's a shame because I found the sound quality excellent and loved the fact that it uses Lightning to charge.

    Terrible..stay away !!

Short version of this review, it’s terrible in every sense of the word!

    The long version:
(1)- battery life: they lied as they claimed it will stay at least 7-8 hours on a single charge , in my testing on full charge 50% volume it only stayed for 5 hours and 30 minutes, I went back to the store, no one gave me any sort of attention and they said it’s just alright!!
(2)- the control button is so laggy!! You can press double clicks to ff a song, its not responding, instead it plays or pause or trigger siri or whatever!!
(3)- 3 months after I bought it, the battery literally died, I sent it to be repaired, they examined it and told me there’s a scratch on the inner frame which means it’s now damaged it’s out of warranty. They didn’t repair it and asked me to pay +80 dollars without the taxes to be repaired!!
(4)- spoiler alert: That was the second one as I bought one 1 week ago and it kept draining so fast like 30 minuets after a single full charge and replaced it for me!!! They said it’s very common manufacturing defect !!!
(5)- it’s classic beats headphones.. which means over priced tech, garbage quality.. literally garbage quality, it’s no way compared to other headphones out there and half the price!!

    Stay away

    Good connectivity, adequate sound

If you have $150, and you want (reliable) bluetooth connectivity, a sleek design, comfortable ergonomics, and a brand name bluetooth earbud, this is it. The Beats X has the best bluetooth connectivity I've ever had in a pair of earbuds. The battery is adequate for the slim size, and the around the neck fit is perfect. I had a neck collar device at one point, not cute. These, are. The sound quality is meh, but the feature list for the price is very good. If you want pure sound quality for $150, get a wired pair from a lesser known brand.

P.S. just use common sense...if you have had bluetooth issues before and hate bluetooth, don't buy these. If you run a lot with these, don't cry when they break (not workout buds), if you don't like cords, but a pair of all wireless, if you can barely afford them, don't buy them. You'll be wanting better sound quality, which you can get with cheaper wired buds. If you don't like beats, these won't impress you.

Very, very happy - from a runner, not an audiophile.

I'll be honest - I'm not an audiophile. I run, and I like to be able to hear my music clearly... having said that, I had a pair of bluetooth earbuds prior to this, and they didn't deliver anywhere near the clarity that I have the second I put these on. The difference was so clear that I'm compelled to write a review, which I never do. For the $$, the battery life is better, and the sound clarity is making me think "what else have I been missing?!?!?" Thanks!

    Sound quality matters

Had the Powerbeats 2 and was using them a lot during workout. They broke twice. Then decided to get the Beats X instead of Powerbeats 3. I am so glad I bought them. First of all, the W1 chip makes it so easy to switch between my Apple devices. Second, the sound quality is amazing for such a small pair of headphones. Third, very comfortable even when running on the treadmill. Have been using them for more than a month without any issue.

Great job again by Apple and Beats by Dre team.

    Keep doing the great work.

    Do not buy.

I tried to give the beats the benefit, they worked for two weeks and I had connection problems after being fully charged. Get the Apple wireless earbuds, it a little more expensive but worth.

    Constantly failing

On my 3rd set now. Can’t get them to turn on. Avoid.

    Not reliable

Like others, I enjoyed these headphone while they worked. My first pair lasted less than two weeks. The battery died and I was unable to recharge them or reset the headphones. The second pair lasted about a year but then the right earbud suddenly stopped working. It has no sound at all. I treat these very well. They are in the case when not used and I typically only use them at the gym 3 times a week.

If they didn’t keep breaking, I’d give them 4-5 stars. The sound quality is good. They come with a variety of earbud and wing tip sizes to customize your fit. However I think the cord is too long, there’s a lot of extra cord hanging around the neck, and the case it comes with is not very easy to use or protective.

    Not Worth It

Chord is too long, gets in the way. For the buds to fit comfortably secure in my ears I had to press them in such that I felt pressure. They very easily popped out when I was lifting weights and every time I adjusted the volume the bud would pop out. Not worth $120 (bought them on sale.) Used them 3 times before cuz I wanted to give it a chance and by that time I wasn't able to return them. Rip.

    Solid 4

Buttons work now and then. Ear-hooks are easy to break. Apart from that - happy with the product.

    Lasted 3 Months

These earbuds only lasted me 3 months. They suddenly stopped working. So I did what anybody else would do. I called Apple support. I shipped my set of earbuds and I was told that they will cost $166 to repair! That’s more than a brand new set! I really loved these till they died. Apple support was a big disappointment. I only used the at my job (I work at call center.) These earbuds failed when I wore them casually at an office. Highly dissapointed...

    Keep Breaking

I’ve had probably 5 pairs of these because I have to keep replacing them. When they work, they’re great and the sound is awesome. However, these are probably the most untrustworthy earphones I’ve ever had. On the first 3 pairs I had, the right ear completely lost sound, so I had to go through the inconvenience of replacing them each time. Now, both ears are functional, but the Bluetooth connection cancels out after 5 minutes of use. I have to reset them every time just for an additional 5 minutes of listening time. I do not recommend these unless you get satisfaction out of dealing with Apple customer service more than listening to music. Incredibly frustrating and unreliable. I want a refund.

Solid earphones, good for running, great sound

My first wireless earphones and was very impressed. Sound on these was better than expected. Dumbfounded by how easy these pair with my iPhone and Macbook. Their W1 chip is legit. Only thing I wish was easier was switching the earbud cushions and wingtips (the give you 3 sizes) which wasn't as smooth as you'd expect but it's just a one-time adjustment. Running with these is good, too.
