Replaced 4 times in 9 months

These headphones have a lifespan of a couple months and then the audio/ sound goes out. After having them replaced four times, I'm fed up. I thought buying from a such highly praised brand would have ensured the quality of these headphones. PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED! If you are looking for temporary headphones which will need replacing every 2 months, you have come to a great place. If not, don't buy these.

    Sub-par product

I’ve used these for six months. I like the idea of the product but it has a few flaws. Some people complain about the sound. I find that fine. They’re not audiophile earphones so one shouldn’t expect them to perform as such. As for the design, they’re comfortable on the neck and generally comfortable in the ears. Sound isolation is average. It can be improved with aftermarket tips. I think the in-line remote feels cheap and the buttons are a little flakey. It could also be placed slightly higher on chord and the chords themselves could be slightly shorter. It’s well known (and often complained about) that the war buds are not sweat resistant. While I do consider that a flaw and not something people should need to worry about with a premium brand product at this price point, these aren’t intended to be sports earphones and you can get aftermarket tips (for example, from Comply) that provide a barrier if that’s something you’re concerned about based on your usage. Battery life is decent and they charge quickly. The W1 chip also gives them a good working range. I don’t find that they’re 100% seamless with pairing but they generally work well and are certainly easier to pair than ordinary Bluetooth devices. All that said, I do not recommend buying these. Like many other reviewers, I experienced that they suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. I went to use them one day and they wouldn’t turn on, so I figured they just needed a charge. I plugged them in and could see them charging. They would power on and show 100% battery in the widget on my iPhone. What I quickly came to realize, however, was that although they would charge, they wouldn’t hold the charge for very long, so I had to take them back to the Apple Store. Despite Beats being an Apple brand and despite the earphones being in warranty, they don’t replace them in the store. Instead, they get sent to a service center and a new pair gets sent back to the store after a week or so, which means you’re without the use of the product for a week and you have to make another trip to pick up the replacement pair. I don’t know whether the problem was due to an inherent design flaw or to a manufacturing error, but it was frustrating and has left me with a negative impression of the brand.

    Beats are garbage

I bought a new iPhone and with them I spent the money on what a thought was good headphones. I have now owned two pair. Both have been horrible. I will never buy any beats again. In comparison to Bose headphone for the same money. Don’t even bother with beats. Complete garbage

    Stop working

After a week, my Beats X stopped working. At the beginning I couldn't turn them on and afterwords I couldn't even charge them or either reset them. I'm so disappointed since I invested that amount of money. Never buying Beats again. Don't be fooled.

Lasted for three weeks. Not recommended!

I got these beats x to use on my commute and they worked very nicely for about a week, but then they started having problems with one of the earphones loosing most of its volume, I corrected this a little with the sound balance on the accessibility panel in my iPhone settings this worked for about a week but then the same earphone lost all volume. These seem like a great product on paper but they are rubbish and they will not last.

Only will work for 2 weeks

I have always been an Apple product user and decided to splurge on the powerbeats3 for my workout headphones. The first 2 weeks were great and I loved the product. Soon after the battery life would suddenly die and they would no longer connect to my phone. Luckily, the support team was able to send me a new pair which once again worked great for a couple weeks. Now they are disconnecting after only 15 minutes of use and will simply not connect despite the head phones being fully charged. I have been told from the support that they will send me a new pair, but Im not confident the next pair will be any different. I have had a number of Bluetooth headphones from less notable companies and for much less money, but by far the beats powerbeats3 have been the most unreliable and worst electronics purchase I have made. To make matters worse the support team is unwilling to express my complaints to a manager. Looking at the products site they have an overall review by customers of 1.64 out of 5. I wish Beats would make things right and offer us a refund. extremely frustrating!

    OMG the range is incredible!

I use these with my iPhone 8 and man let me tell you! I can leave my phone in my kitchen and be in the basement on the other side of my house and they never disconnect!!! Sound is great, and they are super comfortable. I’m really happy I chose these over the solo3, because I read some reviews that the On-ear headphones were a little uncomfortable. Anyway, I use the beatsx to do hardcore workouts, and they haven’t let me down yet.

good headphones but you'll have to buy another case for them

The old earbuds case was nice, it was a HARD case with a zipper. But of course beats had something good going and had to downgrade. The new case is a soft silicon sleeve that doesn't actually close. Since it's soft silicon it sticks to your pocket or wherever you put the case. Not to mention the headphones and charger completely fall out all the time. My headphones have fallen out onto the ground numerous times because of the ridiculous case. It's disappointing that I was excited for a good quality product but it's tainted by beats decision to go the cheap route for something as small but necessary as the case. Gave this review 4 stars because they're great headphones but beats customer service couldn't fix the only problem I had and send me the old zippered case.

    Sound quality very much lacking

The sound quality is severely lacking in these. It's all highs and mids, like you're hearing everything thru a brass cone. Better, well-rounded sound and bass in the $30 wired regular Apple earbuds. The sound is even worse if the buds don't fit quite right in your ear. You have to shove them in hard to get a seal just to hear a little bass and that doesn't feel that great, especially if you're using them for awhile.

I can't compare them to the AirPods because I'm not waiting 6 weeks for a pair of earbuds. Stick with the wired Apple earbuds if you like good sound and don't mind the wires for now. At least till they get things worked out with the sound for the Beats and whatever false-scarcity thing Apple has going on with the AirPods.

Gets two stars for the slick and painless integration with iOS.

    Low sound

I spent 210 bucks on this product bought in New Zealand. Very low sound. I am not expecting this from beats. Guys don't waste your money on this product. Worst headphone ever had. Totally disappointed with volume level.

    Not worth the money

Great ear buds and all, but i wouldn't invest in them after a month the right earbud stopped working, and the same thing happened to a wired pair a year ago so i wouldn't spend the money on something that won't last a second month when Samsung or Apple or other quality brand will inevitably last longer

    Total rubbish

I got my beats from EE to pair with my iPhone X. I had them delivered ON the 23rd December Tried to use them on Christmas Day spent 2 hours on Apple chat trying to get them to work. They have never worked. I have contacted Apple again via voice call followed the steps. Still don’t work. now on the 11th January they still do not work. It should be easy to pair with the iPhone they’re made by the same company. Heading to Apple store on Thursday hopefully they will do something about it. I’m losing faith in Apple products nothing but drama to get anything to work as it should these days.

    Loss of sound

I thought these headphones were the best! Although over the last week the sound has gone quite low (or am I just going deaf?)

    Dont waste your money

I was excited when I first got my beats but little did I know the quality of it. My headphones constantly turns off whenever I'm using it at the gym. I tried rebooting it constantly and at first I thought it was my phone and I updated my iPhone just in case. It constantly turns off randomly. Save your money and purchase a different brand!!!

    Amazing

The earphones are really good quality charge fully in 45minuets which is amazing and charge for 5 minutes and it last for 2 hours which is amazing the only annoying thing is the two batteries on either side it gets in the way and feels a bit uncomfortable at first but you get used to it.What you get in the box wow I have never seen so many fittings you can definitely find the correct fit and the earphones charge with the normal apple wire which is personally very useful o overall they are amazing would really recommend them for daily use and also gym use as they are also really good to use in the gym.
