    Good sound, bad fit

I was pleased when I saw that the package came with multiple sizes of earbuds and even wingtips to help secure the headphones in your ear. I have smaller ears, so I use the smallest size of ear tips, which DON'T FIT with the small wingtip. So I can either wear ear tips too big with wingtips or ear tips that fit and fall out. At least the sound is good.

Love them but not without flaws

These are my go to headphones for everyday use, taking phone calls for work, and hitting the gym hard. I also have the Powerbeats wireless 2 but those have never fit my ears properly and the BeatsX feel great. I'm not an audio junkie but to me they sound great. After only about 5 months though, they stopped working. The return process was extremely painful but once I finally received a box to send them in, I received a new pair within about 3 days. I've read the reviews of multiple repairs and am hoping I won't end up in the same boat because I do really love them!

    Disappointed

I'm so glad i got these beats x for free. I bought an ipad and through apple, these came free. I took them out of the package all happy to use them, but once i started listening to music, they were absolutely horrible. The sound is so tinny. There's absolutely no bass as well. I tried changing my music settings to bass booster, pop, acoustic and all that fun stuff but nothing changed the sound of these headphones. I'm so disappointed in the quality of these considering they are beats.

Design Great... Sound not so Great

I really like the design and the fact they are wireless but the sound is also very important to me. I love a deep bass and these head phones just don't have it. I wouldn't say tinny but definitely no bass. I had Sony's a few years ago and they were better sounding than these. My last set was a Bose set and they were awesome but not wireless. Unfortunately, one of my kids borrowed them and ruined an ear piece. I am really trying to like these, but it's not working. I would kick myself if I didn't take them back and unfortunately pay more money for a better sounding set, probably Bose. I bought them through Apple online so I will definitely take them back to the store and try them out first. Hope this review helps someone.

    Great Design, Garbage Product.

The design is excellent. I love the magnets to hold them to your neck. I love the charging medallion and the volume rocker. The earbuds fit comfortably and you can easily work outside in an active environment with the earphones in. Probably not good for working out (though I haven't tried yet) because they aren't THAT snug, but are still pretty good. But the sound... wow. The sound is incredibly poor for allegedly being excellent sounding earphones... and the price. Bass is practically non-existent. Vocals are not properly balanced. Rock just sounds like a mash of sound. The EarPods that come with the iPhone sound much better. I'll give them this though, the cushions do an excellent job preventing outside noise from entering your ear so you can mow and do yard work and still hear music just fine. I even chainsawed with these things in. Too bad the sound just isn't very good. I'll be using my Bose Soundlink headphones if I want to enjoy my music the way it's intended to sound.

    Not worth the price

After 5 months of use, it stopped working. Did a hard reset, didn't work. I would not recommend these. Apple is charging me just to get them fixed.

no bass, tinny sound -- seems to be bad design.

Got these as part of a promotion when buying a new iPad Pro. Now I know why they are giving them away-they sound awful. At first I thought I got a defective pair. So I got online with Apple support and they agreed to send them back for repair. They sent back a brand new pair which sound just as bad as the original. The headphones that came standard with my iPhone sound significantly better than these. Doesn't make sense.

    BATTERY LIFE

Overall good sound but horrible battery life.. it's 2017 beats and apple should not make products unless their top shelf.. 10 hour minimum should be standered...

    bad product

the worst thing in this earphone Beatsx that it doesn't answer the calls automatically when you separate the magnetic pods more worse that even the 2 pods are attached and you start your music or even Facebook, still the sound goes to the earphones instead of the phone speaker....it's a disaster how they make such product without thinking of how people will use it not to mention the cheap quality of the product, the plastic and the wires are so cheap and looks like a product of $20 not $150

    Wonderful when they do work

I have been a huge Beats fan for years and years, and when I first found out that these were gonna be released I saved up for almost a year to be able to buy them on the release date. This is my third Beats earphone pair now and the quality and bass is amazing, BUT.. They´re in for service for the third time now, I´m waiting on my third pair of BeatsX because the first two I got suddently stopped working.. So they´re amazing when they actually work, but a lot of technical difficulties sadly..

Great Concept but Terrible Sound Quality

So, I like Apple products and was thinking about these headphones for a while. They fit really well around the neck, the ear buds are great and in ear plastic bits keeping the earphones in. However, that’s about it if I’m honest, the sound quality is really poor and I’d recommend avoiding this product at all cost. I have Powerbeats 2, they’re amazing compared to these, these are shocking and for that price, you can get much better ones out there. Like others, these NO bass, it’s tinny, I tried to EQ in the music app and Spotify but it wasn’t helping. Nothing was wrong with the earphones, Apple looked at them and no fault found.

    Beats X is a NO!

I have been looking forward to the Beats X for a long time. I finally bought tem last Wednesday. A waste of time and money. These things will not say in my ear no matter what I do. Therefore I will return them tomorrow. I'm going to try the Air pods next. I hope that they won't fail me.

Nice fit but controls are a little off

Fit well and great for mountain bike. I also use these for call, too. First pair quit working after a few months. I little difficulty getting them replace but a cooperative staff at the Apple store and a couple of weeks and I have a replacement. Controls work better, too.

Apple support is pretty good. I have numerous Apple products and never had an issue, just with Beats X but they took care of me.

    They STINK!

This headphones are way too expensive for the poor quality of sound, I'm so disappointed on them I gave them up and went back to the regular apple headphones, my advice: Don't waste your money on this, the only good feature is that they are wireless, that's it.

    Great features, but mediocre sound

Had I paid for these, I'd return them. For $150, I would expect and demand good, clear, crisp sound, but these are just another well-conceived but poorly executed product from Beats. Nothing I've found so far has measured up to my ancient Etymotics buds, but the cords are literally falling apart on them. The Beats are mostly going to be useful to me for plane rides, as the isolation is very good, making them impractical (and illegal) for driving - I'll use my Apple buds for that, as I can get good sound and still hear what's going on around me to some extent. If Apple really wants to impress me, pull Beats's reputation for mediocre products out of the gutter, and include some extra ear tips that don't completely block out all ambient sound.
